Hi Guys, I have the Quechua and love it. I can fit two double blowup beds side by side for myself and my two granddaughters. The living area is spacious, with enough room for cooking inside if the weather isn’t good. It’s got plenty of room for a blowup sofa too. I usually just go camping on my own and there’s loads or comfortable space for me to relax. It’s also easy to pitch on my own. That was the main reason I went for an air tent. I just purchased a Quechua dining area tent for when my granddaughters come with me again. It’s not an air tent, but again I can put it up alone. I’m a 67 year old Nana who loves camping 🏕️. Thanks for sharing your video.
Thats fantastic! I bet your granddaughters love visiting Nana! Thank you so much for watching, and wishing you many happy trips to come - regards - Adam
I bought the Eurohike 400 after watching your video last year. I can thoroughly recommend it as a two man tent with loads of room. Four would be a bit cramped. The only downside I have found is that the sides slope so much that you have to close up in the rain otherwise water will get in. This means that cooking in the tent during bad weather is a problem. The front entrance can be opened up if you buy some additional poles however, but not ideal. For the money an absolute bargain. Love it and have no regrets. Oh and the bedroom is blackout material so another thumbs-up.
Thank you for your words, always really helpful for anyone scratching their chin trying to decide! Really appreciate your thoughts - All the best - Adam
Just completed video. My Eurohike was slightly more expensive than you paid. £300 a month ago. GO messed up at the till and overcharged me, but returning to the store, they not only matched the on-line price of £300 but gave me an extra 20% off as well. My friend paid £199 today for the Decathalon!! which made me weep a bit. I loved the windows in the Dec but loved the full front door mesh of my Eurohike and the side door as well for popping out in the night. As a 63 y/o I found my Eurohike really easy to erect solo (having read the instructions and watching a video in advance). Money no object and muscles of steel, I’d have gone for the Berghaus 4.1 but I am delighted with my Eurohike and hope my mate is with her Dec. Thanks for the video guys.
Ah thats fab - well thanks for watching & commenting - Glad GO rectified their mess up with the price - Generally I think they are pretty good like that... Well I hope you & your friend enjoy your respective tents - Happy Ait tent camping to you both- and thanks again for comments - Adam
Just had my first weekend away using the Quechua, a fantastic tent, easy to put up, plenty of room, on the first night we had heavy rain and not one leak, it held up very well and I’m very pleased with my purchase from Decathlon
I've had my Eurohike 400 air since 2019, had no problems and love it. Camping in this tent in a storm (thunder and heavy rain) no leaks and completely stayed up even when the wind was up. Brought a Eurohike XL porch during Covid for it, but unfortunately haven't got back to Camping to use it.

We upgraded to a metal pole 8 man tent a few years back, so were sticking with that for now. But . . . . . . Not sure if you mentioned it in your vid? The massive plus point with Air tents is you can put them up in a force 9 without the need to have a man/woman on each corner of the tent to stop it flying away. Hi Gary - Thanks for ya comments as ever - Well you will be far more knowledgeable than me as a hardened family tent user! I bought my Vango (with the bendy poles!) but purely as my 'basecamp' to use on my own - And I will be sticking to it. But was just fascinated to check out this new air beam concept. Suitably impressed, but I agree I do think I preferred the Eurohike. And I agree, thought the air poles are far more cosmetically pleasing - within the tent! not on the outside. But thanks for watching Gary, all the best to you and your family Adam 😄
what i love about the Eurohike is the 1 way viewing from the bedrooom... ie: you can see through into the living space but you cant see into the bedroom from the living space, very cool and great security
Similar to the tent I just bought, the Euro hike genus 400. Bought it for me and my little daughter so we can have a cheap holiday. I've never had an inflatable tent before, tested it in the garden last month and loved it. Fantastically easy to erect on my own. Thanks for the video. More please.

I bought the "Decathlon" tent 2 years ago . After my outdoor periods (many times in different "grounds" ) I can notice that : 1 appreciate the living area , enough space to put stuffs , boxes , shoes etcetera . 2 We are a couple, so the space in the bedroom is very comfortable: an inflatable mattress in the center gives the possibility of keeping your clothes at the side of the bed :) . But, a separation sheet it's necessary if you are more than 2 :) 3 Easy to mount , a little bit less to dismount hehe , the bag I think it's a little bit small . I'm a 95 kg man so it is easy to "compress" the tent during the packaging - you have to lie down on it , litterally - 4 Under a strong rain and wind no problem at all 5 following instructions you must not pump air more than 7 PSI , but I think that a 5 psi is enough ( 0,5 bar) 6 recommended , the floor is really thick , but we prefer to use an additional tarpaulin of 3x5 mt under the tent - just before the mounting - just to be sure in case of strong grounds . 7 there is no hole to put an electrical cable through , but it's not a problem since the tent and the floor are detached from each other and a gap is created : you can insert the cable without any problems Thanks for the comparison , very very complete.
I replaced a 4 person tent with the Air Seconds 4.1 and the difference in erection and packing times is simply night and day. For durability, It gets used for weekends about 8 times a year and I've had it for at least three years with no issues. It doesn't like storm force winds and will collapse, the rain will then get in through the roof vent and you will have a sudden swimming pool in the living room. Under the same winds, fibreglass poles would have been destroyed. This one just needed pulling upright, re-guying and then bailing out.
I started with a eurohike air400 and it is a really good starter air tent. I bought it as a luxury 2 person tent for me and the Mrs and it was really good dead easy to put up and put away and did the job brilliantly. Only complaints I have is the lack of fly net on the side door and there for lack of light because you only get light in from the front as I don't do bugs in my tent 🤣. I upgraded to a berghaus air 4xl this last year as an extremely luxury 2 person tent and wow that thing is massive and very light and airy compared to the 400. Bit more awkward to get up and down due to the size but definitely worth the effort
Thanks for watching and sharing your experiences! The Berghaus sounds great, I will look out for it! Yes that air400 is a bit dark, but some people like that I guess... Thanks again, all the best - Adam , 👍
Bought the Quecha 6.3, took it to the Netherlands for halloween, stood up to 60mph winds for 3 days and 2 days torrential rain with a flooded site, only gripe was the roof vent, lets too much breeze in, needs covers you can place on and off depending on weather, 2nd gripe was theres no seal at the door bottoms, needs zips, let in too much breeze and a random hedgehog!
Nice video thanks, always great to see comparable products back to back. Just a couple of points which some may find helpful. I have the slightly larger, though otherwise exactly the same Eurohike 600. I use the bespoke tent footprint for it , and would recommend always getting this too - it increases the robustness and protects the base of the tent and keeps it clean etc. My other top tip, as recommended by the Go Outdoors staff was to buy the two pole with guy lines to allow extending out the front door as a canopy. Works great, makes the tent feel so much bigger. We really like our Eurohike, tent and for next year we will replace the red guy lines - which become invisible at night, - with fluorescent yellow cord. Finally, a couple of cons we have found with our tent is the occasional similar deflation issue on removing the pump from the valve, as you had, and that the valves can be hard to fully re-access when the tent is inflated. . The bases of the air tubes also curve slightly in at the base - not an issue just a little annoying. Perhaps I should inflate them a little more - though prefer not to risk bursting tubes in hot weather which happened one time when I had inflated to the maximum recommended pressure. Hope my comments are of interest. Happy camping
Sorry for late reply - but thank you so much for these valuable tips and tricks - I am sure potential buyers will appreciate your experiences and pointers. Thanks again - Adam
IN MY HEAD I SAID ARSE OVER TIT and then you said it... i just lost it 😂🤣 Thank you for the laughs today.... And just happened to be from a video that contains all the info I need right now. Fantastic video. Grateful for this comparison video guide!
I prefer the Eurohike. Putting up the Quechua looked a bit awkward. I'm disabled and would want to put my mobility scooter in the living area overnight . It's a bit higher in the bedroom which will make it easier for me also as I sleep on a dometic recliner as a campbed is too low for me. I also like that you can use the front door as a canopy. The alternative that I'm considering is a Brean 3.
I have the Quechua air seconds 5.2. honestly, I wouldn't choose anything else. Quechua tents are extremely well made, as you say thicker groundsheets, thicker materials, just seems all in all higher quality
Hi Matt, I do think I just preferred the cosmetics of the Eurohike, but build quality as you say on the Quechua - is excellent. Thanks for watching Adam
I just returned my decathlon 4.1 after a weekend away the front beam kept deflating was very annoying adding air throughout the night…I didn’t like how the living area was all open at the bottom allowing loads of bugs in I zipped myself in the bedroom area had to take our dog in the bedroom with us incase he got out under the tent during the night…. I’ve now bought this euro hike 400 awaiting for it to arrive hope I’ve made a good choice 🤞🏼
You are at camping in tent and expect no bugs, jesus fuck, man you are in nature you should expect bugs, or just stay in fukin house. Oh bugs going to eat you up
It's really good to have a look around at them this way. I personally prefer the Eurohike for the size and the sewn in groundsheet. The side door is also good to have. But I prefer how much lighter and airier the Quechua is. A combination of the two would be the best for me. Peace
@@justgetoutthereguy The other thing Quechua has going for it is quality. I've had a pop up one for about 10 years and used it loads of times for camping and festivals and it's never failed me. Look a bit like a Ninja Turtle when its on my back going from car to festival campsite though lol. Now i'm nearer to 60 than I would like, I need something more dignified to get in and out of :)
@@MrEvilWasp Well I am with you on the nearer 60 stakes, so I have just bought an old van! Without sounding like a naff double glazing salesman, but do watch out for my next upload, all about it 🤣 the comfort of a bed (albeit a small one) compared to crawling in and out of a tent, was just a temptation I just could not resist! All the best Donatello 😜 Adam
@@justgetoutthereguy Donatello... wasn't that a cigar? lol. I've been thinking about getting a van for about a year. The idea of not having to set anything up is very appealing. The main reason I haven't, apart from the cost lol, is that if on a campsite I don't think you can drive off one day to explore and expect your pitch to still be there when you get back. Some sites allocate a pitch but many don't. Still going to watch your next video though with envious eyes :)
Nice video. Quechua do a "Fresh & Black" version of the 4.1 tent which has a black inner layer in the bedroom to keep it cool and dark. Hence the name. Might be useful on spring/summer mornings when it gets light very early or to take refuge from the heat on a hot afternoon
@@justgetoutthereguythanks for this comparison. The man in Go Outdoors recommended the Rydal with its ‘internal’ air beams with a flush external surface because it doesn’t catch the wind. He was comparing it with the Genus which has ‘external’ air beams (like the Decathlon) which he said catch the wind badly when it’s rough weather.
I have a air 400 genus. This has only one opening at the end if the tent. The valves on my tent are the same type as the decathlon. I have just bought a canopy which has a inflatable support to match the tent attached to a fly sheet which fits over the tent and is supported by straps
"It's a twenty foot c0ck & balls man!!"hehe Your comment about Phoenix Nights made me laugh. Just purchased the Quechua 4.1 for my metal detecting weekenders as I'm getting too old for the old 2 man tent I've been using. Seemed a bargain for £209 in Decathlon's sale, so am pleased it went up ok, and looks good. Not too worried about the headroom when sleeping, and the living space will be very welcome having spent the last couple of years getting changed on my back! Thanks for sharing this video, I have dropped you a sub & look forward to watching more! all the best, Marcus
Definately the eurohike, lot more head room, you can always open all the doors for more light, like a roomy feel, plus most of the time you'd be out during the day,I like the idea of just pumping up the tents also, lot easier ,as you always lose the stuff
Eurohike's air valve... that is more of a design flaw to me. Decathlon design is smarter and there is a ventilation design at the end of the tent to help improved the air circulation into the bedroom which you missed. The newer version of the Decathlon tent also has a darker bedroom with dark color material.
Hi, Decathlon tents are: 4.1 XL Air and 4.1 Standard non air and non XL. So, XL only exist in air version. Standard size is only in "poles" version with F+B variant avaiable. I hope this is clear now.
As a solo camper (dog doesn’t count!) I reckon one of these tents will be 100 times easier to erect than my eurohike sandero! I love the tent but it’s a nightmare to put up on my own
Wow that is a big difference... I would suggest not. I mean if it's purely cosmetic, the Eurohike does look the nicer tent - but for a tent per buck... especially if it's £150 cheaper, can't help thinking the Quechua offers better value.... (personal opinion) Cheers Neil, thanks for watching, Adam
The Eurohike Genus 400 is the same idea but much cheaper and on par quality wise with the Decathlon version it also doesn't have a sewn in ground sheet, personally after looking at all options I settled on the new berghaus Air 4.1 Nightfall from Go Outdoors currently 350 as it will be dependable in all weather and guaranteed sound quality...
Great comparison thankyou just what I was looking for...the valves on the euro hike look like a problem so I think Im going with the decathlon for the light and airy feel and thicker ground sheet...Without you I wouldn't have known. Liked and subbed.
Thanks for your video. Would the decathlon tent be see through (see silhouettes) at night due to the light fabric? Seem so from your video. It’s the only thing putting me off
Bought the Horizon 700 nightfall last week and we have already decided its too big bulky and heavy for us. With the weather the way it is here in Scotland can only expect two days without rain then will be probably packing up in rain so its not gonna work. It was £549 we are going to return it within the next few days and get something more like the Eurohike 400. I don't see them from £249 though they are £299 in go outdoors atm. What's the time for putting up taken down?
Sorry to hear about the horizon... Yeh I did film this back in April, so wouldn't surprise me if they had gone up in price... Like everything else 🙄 Without filming and just straight up pitching, realistically about 10 mins I reckon 👍 Thanks for watching - Adam
@@justgetoutthereguy 10 minutes, that's more like it. The kids are really looking forward to their first camping experience. At least with the Eurohike 400 we can go do the wild camping experience off a beach or Loch. Cheers for reply 👍
@Q Branch Hey thanks for the update, good to know they honour the cheaper prices... I did shoot this vid back in April, so with inflation not surprised to hear it has gone up 🤦 Thanks for letting me know - ATB Adam
It doesnt seem like you set the door porch up ?? There is a pole that goes in and holds it out more over the doorway so you have a little bit of weather protection to enter and leave while its raining. Might explain why you couldnt get the front guy system to work as easier as the rear also ?
I have eurohike 400, not happy at all,in siting area over night or when raining, walls get wet inside, and driping over everything,(I put aditional sheet on top to prevent condensation and driping, but when its windy you canot do it.)on hot days we not be able to sleep inside because is no ventilation going at all,( I cut mesh and instaled zip to open and vent).other tent wich you compering dont have this problems. On top last week winds was up to 60km/p/h and 1 air pilar ripped fabric and blowed up, another ripped fabric. I strongly recommend to lower pressure in air pilars and wrapping in strong silver fabric tape.
There is a vent for the bedroom area on the outside. On the left hand side of the tent towards the back... Lift the tent fabric edge up from the outside. You'll see two velcro supports to allow airflow. 👍
today we bought a Eurohike rydal 400 Air Tent cost £335. from Go Outdoors we spent 1hour and 30 mins trying to get this tent up we gave up. each time we pumped it up it deflated every time we took the attachment off I even rang the store and they said there isn't a fault its just with the air tube being new we needed to twist it. I have just watched your video and you had a problem with the middle one we have tried different ways of putting the attachment on. Its infuriating. you have made it look so easy its been a nightmare
The pressure valve, make sure that is out to stop the air. A better understanding of that I suggest watching a quick video on inflating an inflatable paddle board. If the valve is in when you attach the hose to inflate, when you remove the hose it will deflate. You'll see when he actually gets the section to stay inflated the pressure valve is out.
Have a good week - sad no Ukrainian SU 27's but, otherwise engaged... Anyway, thanks for your tent - and input on this video 👍 Enjoy that need, the need for... Camping 💪
I only stayed in the one night and it seemed ok, however I feel that may need the odd top up on an extended stay... I guess no different to just retightetening guy ropes...🤔 thanks for watching - Adam

Both of these tents are basically a waste of time and money, Eurohike is known as a trash brand and Decathlon as well have their fair share of facepalm engineering. Decent air tents from brands like Outwell, Vango or Zempire are more expensive but definitely worth it

It's a bit higher in the bedroom which will make it easier for me also as I sleep on a dometic recliner as a campbed is too low for me. I also like that you can use the front door as a canopy. The alternative that I'm considering is a Brean 3.
I appreciate you watching and your comments - All the best - Adam
Sorry to hear about that, sounds like a stressful night - hope you get on better with the Eurohike - thanks for watching - Adam 👍
Peace
Hey thank you - I know exactly what you mean... Well thank you for watching & comments. And I do long for peace... All the best ☺️
The Quechua has a sewn in ground sheet
Nice video. Quechua do a "Fresh & Black" version of the 4.1 tent which has a black inner layer in the bedroom to keep it cool and dark. Hence the name. Might be useful on spring/summer mornings when it gets light very early or to take refuge from the heat on a hot afternoon
Hey thank you so much - Fresh and black sounds good! Thanks for watching & comments 🤗 Adam
A comparison in wild weather would be interesting - about time you got out there!
Good to be back out there again! Thanks for watching - apparently these are pretty good to pitch in windy weather??? ATB Adam i
@Q Branch Just don't fancy attempting to put up ANY tent in strong winds!! Unless I am out hiking on a trail somewhere, and you have no choice!!
Cheers, went for the Eurohike 400 👍
Cheers for watching - hope you enjoy it, sure got the weather for it ATM! All the best - Adam 👍
I got a Eurohike too. Had it out twice now, very happy with it. 👍🏻
@@joanneg5562 Hope you have plenty more happy outings with it 😃
I prefer the Eurohike for head height and storage. I also like the side door opening.
Thanks for watching and commenting - Adam 👍
Thanks lads, great vid
Very welcome, thanks for watching... 🤗
Excellent video and so important for would be buyers. Thanks a lot.
Thanks for watching Colin - appreciated - Adam
im amazed that the Quechua has thicker, more durable materials given the lighter weight and much smaller packed size
I have a air 400 genus. This has only one opening at the end if the tent. The valves on my tent are the same type as the decathlon. I have just bought a canopy which has a inflatable support to match the tent attached to a fly sheet which fits over the tent and is supported by straps
Cheers for watching John, sounds like a good set up you have there - Hope you have many happy trips.... All the best - Adam
They are both gorgeous I
Like the 3 room option on eureka and how lit the quencha is… I’d choose eureka though … the 3 rooms
We got the quechua 5.2xl fresh and black. It's fo 5 persons and higher and wider than the 4.1. Somewhere around 150,-- more but worth the extra money.
Definately the eurohike, lot more head room, you can always open all the doors for more light, like a roomy feel, plus most of the time you'd be out during the day,I like the idea of just pumping up the tents also, lot easier ,as you always lose the stuff
Cheers for watching Kirk, yeh the Euro hike seems to be getting most votes - always good to compare - ATB Adam 👍
Eurohike's air valve... that is more of a design flaw to me. Decathlon design is smarter and there is a ventilation design at the end of the tent to help improved the air circulation into the bedroom which you missed. The newer version of the Decathlon tent also has a darker bedroom with dark color material.
I did miss that - thanks for pointing it out, and thanks for watching
Hi,
Decathlon tents are:
4.1 XL Air and 4.1 Standard non air and non XL.
So, XL only exist in air version.
Standard size is only in "poles" version with F+B variant avaiable.
I hope this is clear now.
Very clear.
Thanks for the informative video! Best Regards Peter Eriksson, Orsa, Sweden
Very welcome Peter - thanks for watching 🤗
Thanks for the useful review.
@@emmanuelscerriyoutub thanks for watching
As a solo camper (dog doesn’t count!) I reckon one of these tents will be 100 times easier to erect than my eurohike sandero! I love the tent but it’s a nightmare to put up on my own
There is currently £150 difference between the two tents, is the Eurohike 400 air worthy of the extra £150?
Wow that is a big difference... I would suggest not. I mean if it's purely cosmetic, the Eurohike does look the nicer tent - but for a tent per buck... especially if it's £150 cheaper, can't help thinking the Quechua offers better value.... (personal opinion) Cheers Neil, thanks for watching, Adam
The Eurohike Genus 400 is the same idea but much cheaper and on par quality wise with the Decathlon version it also doesn't have a sewn in ground sheet, personally after looking at all options I settled on the new berghaus Air 4.1 Nightfall from Go Outdoors currently 350 as it will be dependable in all weather and guaranteed sound quality...
great tents, pls do a van next time they are warmerBerghaus Dome Shelter
The Quechua looks like it's been made by Lego but I did notice the ground pegs were much sturdier than those on the Eurohike.
I know wot you mean! Thanks for watching
Got one and it definitely doesn’t look like anyone else
Great comparison thankyou just what I was looking for...the valves on the euro hike look like a problem so I think Im going with the decathlon for the light and airy feel and thicker ground sheet...Without you I wouldn't have known. Liked and subbed.
Hey Spike, thanks that's great - I hope you have some good times - sure got the weather for it ATM! All the best - Adam 😃
Vango or (if you can afford it ) Zempire both of which blow these two tents away both in quality and functionality
Is there a model of vango that you would recommend for 4 person family?
The lighter one becomes almost see-through on a night time with a light on which would be a negative point
Indeed, my pictures do show that quite clearly - Thanks for watching
Thanks for your video. Would the decathlon tent be see through (see silhouettes) at night due to the light fabric? Seem so from your video. It’s the only thing putting me off
Hi thanks for watching - no silhouettes to worry about 🤗 regards - Adam
I think you should see the sonmezoutdoor London360Discover model inflatable tent, it's jauntier and more durable than all of them. @sonmezotdoor
interesting, I think an air tent will be the next family tent
Thanks for watching Lezley 😃
today we bought a Eurohike rydal 400 Air Tent cost £335. from Go Outdoors we spent 1hour and 30 mins trying to get this tent up we gave up. each time we pumped it up it deflated every time we took the attachment off I even rang the store and they said there isn't a fault its just with the air tube being new we needed to twist it.
Just make sure the pin is out when you put the pump on...
phoenix nights sammy snake hahaha
It was really good fun to make this video and I love my tent, camping in it all this week. 🏕
Have a good week - sad no Ukrainian SU 27's but, otherwise engaged... Anyway, thanks for your tent - and input on this video 👍 Enjoy that need, the need for... Camping 💪
I noticed you didn't use a footprint, why?
Can't use a portable compressor?
I would def go for the queshua for 2 reasons better material and the inflate seems alot better
Thanks for watching - appreciated 👍
Good video but I think I prefer the genus 400
Thanks for watching anyway! Appreciate it - will take a look at the genus... 👍
@@justgetoutthereguy the genus 400 was what the eurohike one your friend had lol
@@johndodd4375 I knew that... 😂
Do the air beams sag at night when it cools off? Also can they over expand when they get hot?
I only stayed in the one night and it seemed ok, however I feel that may need the odd top up on an extended stay... I guess no different to just retightetening guy ropes...🤔 thanks for watching - Adam
Stayed in the Quechua for 7 nights and never had a problem
Which campsite does Paul use for RIAT?
@@danieleggett8588 He works it. I go as a punter, stayed at the Fairford town FC site this year, bit too far out - guessing you go?
@@justgetoutthereguy Yes I normally get Friends of RIAT ticket and stay in a hotel but I'm looking to camp next year instead just got the Eurohike 400 after watching this video and looking at it at my local Go Outdoors. Only really asked because you mentioned power hook ups which most of the campsites close to RIAT are pop up ones and I think only 1 has power hook ups.
I have the regatta kolima 5 air tent. It's an excellent tent and in specs is superior to these IMHO. However all are great campers. A nice vlog fella.
Thanks for watching and comments - appreciated 👍 Adam
From what I have seen, only the front room would be an issue.
For me eurohike won hands down
Eurohike 5 , pole tent at go out doors £149 ,me just got one ,,spacious ,good tent ,, dont like the doors not being sealed all the way round ,intruders, and hasn't got canopy at side door for rain , but hay ho ,cheap and will do the job with plenty of room,,the air 4 XL, took hours to put up and furnishings, i needed a holiday after sorting it all ,, i dont like light tents as too bright in a morning and blindly in sunny days ,,i wouldn't have a air tent again, happy camping folks 😊
Cheers for input - Yup Happy camping folks 😜
You could hang your wet towel or clothes in quecha in that rope😅

Music way to loud
so sorry... I will reduce it next time. thanks for watching
Eurohhike .
eurohhike 1 quechua 0
Both of these tents are basically a waste of time and money, Eurohike is known as a trash brand and Decathlon as well have their fair share of facepalm engineering. Decent air tents from brands like Outwell, Vango or Zempire are more expensive but definitely worth it
Thanks for watching 👍👍
