I don’t care for the lyrics or vocal style of this genre of metal, but the music itself is incredible. That gravity blast is one of the sickest things I’ve heard. Incredible talent and skill on display.
I'm seeing a lot of comments saying that the play-through is fake. Aaron Kitcher himself replied to this by playing the entire song live, at full speed, on a 5-piece set. Here is the link to that video:

Yeah, he plays it live, but not at the same speed, not every note. The original video is fake, but who cares? I love the video and I love the band.
@@grimfist79 The im talking about is the video where the actual footage and audio are completely unsynchronized, so theres no clear way to tell if he can't keep time or not. And you're saying he shows bad technique, his heel-toe technique is on point and his blast beats there are *nearly* flawless I'm not sure what you're talking about there.

people are probably saying things like that because isnt it a fact they dont do any lives... maybe they thought the video was shot in parts and maybe it is, who cares really, the guy can clearly play it
Anyone dumb enough to think it's fake apparently can't comprehend the CYMBALS MOVING..... If you watch them, they move in an ENTIRELY organic way. If it was sped up in anyway, they would be a dead give away. Haters gonna hate.
People saying his play through is fake need to re-watch, and only look at his cymbals. You won't question the video ever again. Sure the video is edited. Just like anyone else who was uploading a quality play through would have done on literally any instrument... But watch his cymbals, they move in an entirely normal and organic way throughout the entire video.
I love how people say it's triggered like he's faking it or something. That's not what triggered means, it just lets you hear all the notes more clearly.
There are people who don’t understand what triggers are, and they are wrong it’s not triggers making it sound that fast. It is fake though for sure they even admitted for the new album a kit wasn’t used at all and I doubt he tracked anything on this album as well. There are people that can play these songs but even when they do it doesn’t sound like the album.
it's literally just the programmed drum tracks from the album, the perfomance you are watching here is not what you are hearing.
There is a video out of him playing it on a 5 piece kit. Pretty much nails it.
@@MrProfchaos71 He's a great drummer for sure, and i freakin love IA, but there's a lot of videos showing it is fake, a lot more than showing it's not. Just because it's fake it doesn't mean we can't enjoy the music and the video.
@@TomBragaMusic But the video in question literally shows him playing it on a small kit. I don’t know what else you want. Basically I guess nothing is real anymore unless you see it yourself and you get to physically inspect the drum kit beforehand
Yes its triggered and edited, its for music sake, theres a video of him playing this live on a 5 piece kit with no in ears, makes a few mistakes due to playing to the track out loud but he can play it
Much like Shawn Lane (and to some degree Buckethead) did with guitar, this kind of thing makes me feel that we're genuinely approaching the limits of unaugmented human capability.

A lot of people talk shit about Aaron being fake and yeah the drums are programmed but he is an insanely good drummer
Lol have you ever checked out the Canadian metal band "Archspire?" Their drummer is all crazy blast beats and you'd probably dig it. Being a lifelong drummer in my later 30's who doesn't have the best posture, I would never want to play in a band like this because I feel like it would destroy what's left of my neck/shoulder muscles lol. I play a lot of heavy metal music (lots of Meshuggah/Pantera type stuff,) but the metal bands that are full of blast beats like this just do not seem like fun to play in, even though I love listening to them lol.

the only way his playing sounds this clear is because of triggers. Triggers are by no means cheating like many people claim it is, but to play at this this speed not all your notes will sound the same with the same intensity. You NEED triggers to make it sounds good, don't get the wrong idea... you need to be good for triggers to sound good, otherwise it will make you sound worse
Aaron Kitcher is a beast on drums. I'm a metal fan, but death metal isn't really my thing. Still, its speed fascinates me and I've probably seen this video 100 times. 😅 The guy is just crazy. I love it!

He’s WELL known for using triggers though so there’s been an ongoing debate in this video and others, as to whether or not he used them in these videos. And now that he’s…. We’ll say “pleasantly plump” everyone thinks he uses nothin but computers. Idk I haven’t looked into in years but 🤷🏻♂️☕️
Triggers is fine, that isn't cheating but he clearly can't play the part at 2:20 live without quad pedals for example and on another playthrough he made lots of mistakes. Also makes endless excuses why he can't play live yet has no problem playing black tongue live which is a much slower beatdown deathcore band.
The only issue is that he keeps saying he can play it live but conveniently can't when he should just be honest and say it's a studio band and a little out of his abilities on purpose to be over the top and that's fine, but lying to preserve his ego is lame

At some point it's no longer music just noise coupled with skill. It's the "look what I can do" mentality rather than about actually writing something.
Not here though.
You not understanding/enjoying a certain type of music does not nullify the fact that it is indeed music. Some people just gravitate towards extreme music like this, myself included. Theres a lot of talent involved in genres like this and not to mention its just downright fun to listen to.

FIrst off.....I am not diminishing the talent. But, EES did a reaction to this and noted while the skill is OFF THE CHARTS, he is using triggers. I mean while fast a f*&k, he is getting the sound quality and depth on the bass drum with next to no movement on the arm. Once again...TALENTED beyond imaginable, but trigger use is what makes it sound so clean.

Friendly reminder for all the big brains in the commments who think they know what they are talking about. triggers do not = cheating, quantizing = cheating. The problem here isn't that Aaron is playing with triggers (obviously) the problem is that what you are watching him play is not what you are hearing. The drums heard in this playthough are LITERALLY the same programmed drum tracks from the album. Aaron is obviously a very talented drummer which you can see from his live drum cams with black tongue. IA however is a different story. All the drums are programmed, all the playthroughs are just him miming or they are heavily edited and quantized in post, and that video i know some of you jackasses are going to refer me to where he plays it with a backing track live and the kicks are getting blasted through the PAs, please fuck all the way off, that video in no way proves that Aaron is capable of playing this song even close to cleanly.
