This is so, so different from their earlier stuff. It's far more mainstream, but it actually works. I have to admit I'm still a bigger fan of the Iowa and self-titled days, those were the albums I grew up with (I'm 41 now), but they're one band I've never felt particularly let down by, even 25 years later.
I've always loved how their silhouettes converge into one at the end
Besides Corey, Jim and Joey wearing no masks in Stone Sour and Murderdolls, it's great that you only get small glimpses of what they look like underneath their respective masks; mouth/beard and eyes. It humanizes them in a way and I feel it lets people connect with the lyrics even more

Sadly, Slipknot had to let go the drummer Jay Weinberg today, it's a shame what the band took a route they'll regret
Wasn't the first, and won't be the last, I'm sure.
Why?
The problem is that Jay played reaaaaally different from Joey, and seems the band and Jay jad their differences. Don't think they gonna regret anything, since the way Jay play drums is more common and easy to find another drummer. The hardest step was findin somebody to take Joey's place.

oh man...what a time..2004-2005....I think that to record this album (vol 3), Corey changed his way of shouting/growling, since his voice was quite screwed up by the wrong technique, quite long tours and bad habits. At that time he suffered from quite strong alcoholism and suicidal tendencies. I guess that after this album it was a change for him from professional to personal......"long live the knot"
I would love to see you react to some of the other individuals from the band like you did with Cory Taylor. My opinion is that Joey Jordison is probably the back bone of everything they did musically and would love you see you react to some of his drum cam footage.
Have you ever heard of the all-girl metal band Crypta, who recently released an album and joined Billboard? They are unique, no one sounds like them. It would be really cool to see them on the channel because they are at the beginning of their journey and are already front line of major events. They are from Brazil and are so talented that soon I foresee them dominating the metal scene, which is often sexist and conservative. It's something important happening. Crypta! 🤟❤️❤️❤️

I would recommend a song that I don't see too many reactions to. Killpop is one of my favorites from Slipknot from the .5 The Gray Chapter album. It's a different vibe than this song, but I think you'll like it. It still has Corey's screams, but it's much more subtle with the way it starts. Keep it metal. \m/
Us oldies would NEVER use the word 'banger' but I appreciate the younger generation appreciating the 'elder' generation's music. Slipknot were my high school playlist. Especially, Purity. It's a shame they had to cut it from the original album. It was such a good song.

The story was about a girl who lost her teddy bear and then found it again, and I literally just wrote down all the lyrics to this song. I told the teacher it was from the bear's perspective 🤣

You should do some old Slipknot, like Sic, or Eyeless. You need to hear Corey's original scream before he knew how to scream properly. It was so much more brutal.
She only reacts to music videos or live versions, so thats not gonna happen (at least in the channel) unfortunately, she probably could listen by curiosity on her own but i never seen a single video from her listening to a studio song with no video.
You should check out Spite - Caved In, the music video is basically a tribute to this music video and the song fucks WAY harder.
