Same!!! This is the only boss in the ENTIRE game, except for Rykard because of his gimmick, that made me HAVE to change from my dragon build. I still haven’t beat him, but I’m only like 30-40 tries in. I’m trying to steer clear of the Fingerprint Shield and poke method, but I’m about to cave to an Impenetrable Thorns bleed build. This will probably be the only boss in the whole Soulsborne series that I beat once and have no interest in fighting again. I LOVE phase 1, but phase 2 is just pure, unbridled chaos!
Reporting back to this video to say that THIS GUIDE HELPED ME FINALLY BEAT RADAHN. Specifically the impenetrable thorns one. I've never beat a boss with anything but a sword before now, but that one looked so fun, so I respec-ed into Arcane and Int and after a bunch more tries I finally got it. Thank you so much for this guide man, I'm now using that same build to help friends through other bosses in the game and it's blowing everyone's minds!
I was still able to beat NG+7 Consort Radahn with the good old Scavengers Bleed power standing jump attack build, strong base game build still carried me through the DLC
Radahn was the first fight where I actually recorded and studied footage of my deaths just to beat him. I do this for no-hit runs but never for just making it out alive. Phase 2 is so oppressive at first that you just die without learning anything. Wound up doing it in like 55 tries with Square Off, but had to learn literally every move the hard way
Instead of using the smithscript daggers I would recommend using the claws of night because: 1. Claws do more dps 2. Better scaling 3. Way easier to proc bleed or frost So basically, the smithscript daggers are just completely outclassed by the claws of night.
I used sword of light and darkness, multilayered ring of light and Radagon’s rings to destroy this boss both in 1 and 2 phase in ng+, and I was doing 10k damage with Radagon’s rings in first phase and over 4k damage with multilayered ring of light in 2nd phase. So yeah, don’t sleep on holy damage especially in the dlc.
Thank you for the hint! Multilayered rings of light made short work of him. Was running 70 INT 45 FTH so I used the golden order seal to cast the spell while holding the dryleaf seal on the other.
You can counter act his meteors with Rannis darkmoon if cast immediately after you dodge his jump into the air. Ranni's darkmoon can also be cast immediately after he does his light speed attack if you are near him when he starts it.
Cold cross naginata + heavy fingerprint shield helped me. Its special because it has pierce, frost and bleed which he's weak to AND you can attack while blocking. Yep. You can poke radahn during most of his combos. Talismans were two headed turtle, greatshield, golden braid, and dragon rest greatshield. Good luck!! ❤
Glad i didn't see this video before i beat him. I my lack of self control would've had me cheesing him with the thorns. I can see those getting a huge nerf
I did a full run with Dragon Communions Incantations only. Even Malenia was down in a few try. I vanished some of the last boss of the DLC. But this Radahn doesn’t seem to be doable with my build. If you try and win, i appreciate a video. Thanks for your build
Honestly can't believe a video with builds to beat Radahn doesn't include this. Just L1 poke to death, completely ignore his entire moveset, he becomes a complete joke.
Best build to beat Radahn is Mohg spear and fingerprint shield.. ..if you're struggling to find openings..you can just attack and guard at the same time.. You can use the Ash of war when you see and opening for big damage Biggest thing to look out for is phase 2...standing in front of him will see you getting your heat stolen It took me around 6 tries to beat him with this build..use your usual bleed set up and you're good to go.
I managed to beat him! Used Cold Milady. Basically didn’t even touch my ashes of war lmao. Wing stance can be good for closing diatances and doing decent damage. But anything can work if you have enough time to land it.
On my dex/int build, I used Wing of astel + brass shield was the set up I used wing of astel worked wonders on gaius as well (also on romina, but what doesn’t) Brass shield just to block part of that slash-slash-double slash combo which is pretty hard to fully dodge
Also any hyper armor high stagger ash + melanias rune and defensive buffs are strong against him. I havent done him with deflect tear, but i have a feeling thats the real GOAT
This boss forced me to learn how to use the Buckler shield. It honestly made this fight a joke. Highly recommend it if you’re having trouble (pair it with the Miséricorde)
Thanks for the various tips. I was able to beat him utilizing your first tip about about the impenetrable thorns and it made the fight much, much less of a slog than Malenia. This was my third playthrough of the core game. First time was a sort of janky strength build (random stats put into dumb shit so I could try to use heal spells or magic not knowing theres 2 kinds of magic, they both require different weapons to even use them, and theyre basically useless with the minimal stat investment). Whole game thinking this is some Zelda shit rocking a shield and a stupid lordsworn straight sword I found early in the game and just kept upgrading cause this was my first Fromsoft game and I had no idea how any of the mechanics worked. After that, my thoughts were "that game would have been waaaayyy funner had they explained the fkn mechanics throughout the game" and I played a second time using a hybrid dex / faith build. Also the youtube / reddit elitists brainwashed me into doing it no summon (never again, thats some unenjoyable bullshit lol). After that I wanted to try a pure int / sorcery build plus get Frenzy ending for the Plat trophy. DLC came out before I finished it so I could jump right in kinda halfway through that playthrough. Quickly learned that "damn all the shiny new weapons I wanna play with dont really fit a mostly int build." Eventually get to Radahn and run it for a couple hours solo, w/ Mimic, with Ansbach, w/ Mimic and Ansbach, w/ Mimic, Ansbach and Thollier to get a feel for the fight with various conditions. Results are not ideal. Both NPCs make him insanely tanky, one NPC makes it harder to read and dodge the few patterns Ive got down, the mimic and one NPC can DPS burst him to second phase just to leave me to die, and solo aint no way I can realistically dodge through 100+ combo sequences to sneak in 100+ single attacks. Research online and see a pretty successful tank build, but Id have to respec completely. See another one using the new Troll summon while healing from afar and hiding behind giant shield so thats also a respec. Then I find your video and see the thorn sorcery. At first Im thinking "arcane is my crappiest stat so bleed won't be as effective". After playing around with the with the idea in my head though, I think "I have the staff of the guilty thats been collecting dust. I can upgrade it, throw it in the offhand to make up for the low arcane and drop my useless shield. The mimic will have it too. Ansbach can inflict bleed, and Im good enough at dodging for a bit that I could keep pulling aggro back to me to give the summons time to heal. Also crack the physick to heal allies and I can probably ensure they dont die by the second phase. From there, just play/dodge enough just to pull aggro back to me a few times (use the perfume with the one time damage mitigation if I can get it off), and I think this sounds pretty valid. And it did, quickly. So thank you for the ideas that inspired the strategy. Malenia 1st time w/ Mimic and ROB took like 12 hours split over 4 days, Malenia 2nd time no summon same thing more or less, integrating your idea into what I could do, Consort Radahn 3 hours over 2 days. So thank you for saving me a few more days of pain, you a real one 💯
A slept on method to defeating him is slapping carian retaliation on a shield, equipping the dagger talisman and the blade of mercy, and literally just parrying the shit out of him. Any single sword swipe (not the double swipes don’t try to parry those they are not parryable) can be parried with pretty easy and generous timing due to carian retaliation. It’s not how I beat him the first time, but I did it the second time I beat him and it honestly made the fight so much easier. Completely negates a lot of his combos
1.Grab the golden braid from the shaman village 2.Get the lords divine fortification from Gideon ofnir after beating malenia 3.Get as many scadutree fragments as you can There you go this combo will give you 90% damage resistance against holy damage, pop the fortification right as he does his big aoe in phase two and ALL of his holy follow ups stop dealing damage to you Turn his phase 2 back into his phase 1 If you want even more safety against him use the mimic tear and give him marikas blessing plus hefty and normal rot pots Once you use divine fortification your tear will also have the same damage resistance as you making him immune to the holy aoes and giving him an easy full heal he can use repeatedly while also rotting radahn which he is very weak to This boss has a lot of ways to deal with him you just have to know which is the best for you
when i found the putrescance cleaver i'd already been using a cold infused butchering knife - i had bloodhound step on it but switched to savage lion's claw after the DLC came out. imho i think the cold butchering knife is low key better. the damage is similar, the frost is similar, and you get 1% max hp back every time you land a hit. i don't use the cleaver's weapon art really ever, soooo but i'm also biased, because i've loved the butchering knife since release. something about it, lol. brilliant weapon.
If your a strength build, you can power stances 2 great stars. The left hand with cold infusion and cold mist to proc frost quickly and the other one should be heavy infused. You then will just use a bleed grease on the heavy infused one or if you have time, blood flame. The boss gives very little window of time for buffs so I recommend just the quick grease. Your best options will be jump attacks and basic R1s. You get a lot of ur health back from this strategy due to its passive. With claw talisman, the new chest piece that boost jump attacks while procing bleed and frost, you should be able to do a lot of dmg
I beat him with Deadly Poison Perfume and Poison Antspur with "The Poison Flower Blooms Twice", the absolute nuke when you trigger deadly poison, poison and rot was hilarious!
Big hammer from the black knights (sacred infused), perfect block tear, guard talisman, physical and sacred defense talismans, Malenia great rune. just attack with guard counters, 3 of those will stagger. best build for me
5:00 if anyone cares, you dont even have to fight that misbegotten. If you run past him to the putrescent boss, he follows and falls off the ledge you have to jump over, thus giving you the incant. Happened to me 7 out of 7 times.
It took me around 50 tries at my first attempt. Couldn't do it. Was about to break and use summons but shifted to shield poke setup. Did it in 2 tries. Then second time it took me another 30 attempts but finally got solo kill with zweihander. Now I can beat him everytime(in less than 5 attempts) with any decent weapon! So those attempts did bear fruit!
cheers you are very very good. i died so much time.. more than 100 i think but I didn't want to respec. at last, i summon tollier and tiche (she was my mvp), my build is a pure sorcerer, i won with ranni dark moon (can negate the rocks and freeze the bastard) and Night Comet. imho aggro looks low with this spell. My build (19 scaudutree /10 ashes) was mage with carian scepter, staff of lost with huge magic boost for NC, light roll, godfrey talisman (other huge boost for NC, i think the other MVP), graven mass talisman (other boost for magic), radagon and the one from shaman village to negate holy damage. Wondrous physics: enhance magic damage and resistance to every damage. I'm very satisfied, maybe a bit lucky (i succeeded in giving to this bastard, already freeze, the scarlet rot with pots, other big damage). Nobody tried this ? I saw in youtube a guy better than me tbh, winning using my same build, ciao!
Wow, my build was lower than yours (scadutree fragments 17/9 ashes), level 240, and I only respected once for more vigor though but I still beat him eventually (without any summons either). Frost does hella damage for stagger (which I used Ice Spear for), I kept burning his health with the Black Knife, and Bloodhound Claws for the bloodhound step effect when needed. So, yeah...mostly still had a mage/sorcerer build I guess ya could say. The talismans I had was Blade of Mercy, Assassins Crimson Dagger, Ritiual Sword & Shield.
@@Afrocypher9590 ciao cheers to u as well, you did very very good withouth any summon. I had carian scepter and staff of lost with Dryleaf Dane armour, preceptor's trouser, Rennala gauntlets, fire knigth elmet. Withouth NPCs I was dead after few seconds.. (In first moment i tried with sir ansbach and tollier but the General became more than impossible. So tollier + Tiche) ... it was important to have windows to freeze the general, and scarlet rot as well. At this point he became doable. I remark two things, scarlet rot plagues the bastard also in second phase, I'm almost sure of this, and ranny moon can negate the rocks, I'm sure of this. A pure magic build must put to the limit what he has. in this boss fight for my build it was Rannie dark moon + Night comet + enhancing equipment for NC. Invisibility spells with staff of lost and godfrey icon are very good, low aggro and huuuge damage. I had 60 vig, 50 minds, 90 int (waste I know but I'm a sorcerer from baldur's gate time, no change LOL), 40 stamina (other few points in strength and faith just for resistences). level 206. ciao!
@@giannibelardi2970 Oh yeah, thanks & same to you bro. I did use summons for some of the other fights here & there though. But, Consort Radahn is just ridiculous especially with the NPC assistance. For a long time Tiche was my _"Ace in the Hole"_ too, during the 1st playthrough I used Banished Knight Oleg a lot. Never felt ashamed using the game mechanics despite hoe some try to gatekeep how they think it should be played. Funny, I didn't get to use the Scarlett Rot like I wanted. I know in lore it pretty much _"kills"_ him slowly after the battle of Aeonia with Melania but I wasn't sure if that'd take effect here. I used 60 vigor too, nearly 50 intelligence & like 30 sum'n mind & endurance. I swear everything was cool until phase 2, man the amount of times I kept dying only to seem like I had got the hang of it until those flashy light speed after image attacks hit me (smh). When I tell ya I was so done with this game after a while... definitely more harder than base game Festival Radahn. Just f**k him as a boss in general!!! 😂
Claws of night are an insane sleeper on this boss, 2 boint blank ashes proc bleed and if needed can use range on it asaell as the r2 moveset being thrown but the lights where fast acting melee claw set.
I still think malenia is a bit harder specially in a first encounter because her life steal is unfair. summoning an ash or shielding still has significant drawbacks against malenia as she can regen of it. if phase 1 malenia is as aggressive as her 2nd phase or as aggressive as radahn then it would be clear cut. I'm not proud of it but in my first playthru against consort Radahn i just hid behind the fingerprint shield, brought 15 health flasks, and poke him patiently with a blood infused messmer soldier spear. Occasionally come guard counters. The same tactic will not work against malenia since she heals of off it and i will simply run out of resources.
Any decent greatshield with the Antspur (blood infused with poison mist ash). You just shield poke him until he drops, not even an issue. The double stack of rot and poison eat him alive and the bleed procs just speed it along. The grab in phase two is literally the only thing he can even hope to win with.
2:16 Actually, the Maternal Staff is kinda bugged right now. instead of only applying a portion of it's arc scaling to blood sorceries for a ~40% status boost like the Albinauric Staff or the Dragon Communion Seal it applies the full 165% arcane scaling to the status build up.
For anyone struggling he didnt actually put the best build to beat him but some in comments has said, its basically shield and poke, you may have to respec your guy but its pretty much easy mode , just get defensive and stamina talismans and holy negation, and make sure to use scholar sheild which is a spell to boost your shield, also upgrade the sheild for highest gaurd boost ( fingerprint or the new moore shield is good, or black shield from rift castle as v high holy negation if your struggling for strength on the first two shields) for poke i used nagakiba spear, but if you have arcane and can get better bleed then any long blade that pokes will do, also second faze pop flask for stamina refill and whatever else you may struggle with. It took a few tries but got it done pretty easy
I eventually got tired of getting him to down 10% health so the way that i beat him was that i put on the antspur rapier and verdigris greatshield with the greatshield talisman and kindred of rot exultation and proceeded to poke him while blocking absolutely every attack and barely taking any damage
I was going through a Dragonborn build where I used both dragon communion, dragon cult and ancient dragon weapons and spells, and it was going well until this boss. I wish it was at least viable without becoming a speedrunner.
I used a keen uchigatana and a keen nagakiba dual wielding with no armor. Then I used mimic tear at the start of second phase. I died to him a lot doing the fight without mimic so by the time I used mimic I knew the fight pretty well. Once I started using mimic tear, I beat him second try.
I died 50+ trying my best against this boss. Impenetrable thorns... 2 tries. And the 1 try that I died because my cat jumped in front of my screen and refused to move. Thank you.
There is an alternative weapon that can be as good, or even better than the Putrescence Cleaver. That's the Death Poker, that weapon helped me a fuckton in the DLC and beating Radahn aswell. It's Ash of War is still busted.
Funny, I didn't use any of the DLC weapons to beat him. Considering you get most of 'em so late in the game I ain't have time to max any of the good one's out except for a few. But, I used Ice Spear (does hella frost stagger) + Black Knife (to health burn) + Bloodhound Claws (for bloodhound step) + a Greatshield (I think it was the cuckoo one iirc). The talismans I had was Blade of Mercy, Assassins Crimson Dagger, Ritiual Sword & Shield. The 1st phase was easy af after a while but phase 2 is just complete utter bs especially with the after image speed bright yellow flashlight attacks, couldn't hardly see a damn thing & his cheap hit boxes throughout the fight didn't make it any better. Hardest boss I've ever fought in my entire life, but I did it though!
The worst part about learning that dryleaf is good against radahn is that I used dryleaf for most of my dlc run but I was too scared to fight him properly so I just summoned or looked for cheese builds online.
60/10/60/48/19/12/25/60 Golden Vow + Flame, Grant Me Strength + Scholar's Shield Full Solitude Armor, Bloody Helice + Fingerprint Shield Talismans: Greatshield, 2-headed turtle, Verdigris, Lord of Blood Poise + stamina recovery in flask Mimic tear. I poked him back to where he belongs and he barely even scratched my stam bar.
I had completely forgotten about the deflecting hard tear. I've probably been making things way harder than they need to be on my dryleaf arts playthrough.
I’ve beaten him about 40 times now through co-op just helping people, i’d say nothing comes close to a status effect shield poke build using the fingerprint shield and scholar’s armament
I tried a few internet suggestions. Nothing worked. I finally got him with the build I’d used all game and my mimic. Thumb shield and poke, nope. Dragon Katana thing and mimic though I will give you thorns 👍
I'm still struggling with this one, but after I spent all larval tears trying out different builds and died 63 times, I do a lot of damage and go easier to the second phase with a faith build. I have equipped the godslayer seal upgraded to its maximum and the blasphemous blade as a weapon. Black flame wall and rotten butterflies from romina do a lot of damage too.
My build made him fall in second try, a simply wolfchest shield and carian sorcery sword, buff the shield with the shield buff spell and have fun. * Guarding strikes when he uses his aoe stuff like the pull and the leaping strikes. * His normal combos can be easily parryed, even in second phase. * If you cant parry, keep the guarding strikes, but take care of your stamina. Talis: [dragon crest shield/shield talisman/radagon icon/ godfrey icon) Why the icons? Its a int build , it is indeed focused in melee combat, but uses carian sword spells for extra sauce :3
I used high end str build with haligtreecrest greatshield and blood godskinstitcher +24 with mimic. Poking behind greatshield worked very well. Not the most heroic style😅
I thought midir was hard af when the ringed city released but he became my all time favorite fight. Freide is hard because there’s 3 phases and phase 3 is pretty aggressive. Gael is just a good boss. The right difficulty and balanced. Radahn is the hardest boss I’ve ever done next to orphan and Lawrence. Idk why Lawrence was so hard for me but it was awful for me
Unfortunately the Impenetrable Thorns have been nerfed with the latest patch (30th July 2024). The rest of the builds are unaffected though.

I used sword of light and darkness, multilayered ring of light and Radagon’s rings to destroy this boss both in 1 and 2 phase in ng+, and I was doing 10k damage with Radagon’s rings in first phase and over 4k damage with multilayered ring of light in 2nd phase. So yeah, don’t sleep on holy damage especially in the dlc.
every othyer boss than radhan has been a alright challenge. radhan is all challange
Thank you for the hint! Multilayered rings of light made short work of him. Was running 70 INT 45 FTH so I used the golden order seal to cast the spell while holding the dryleaf seal on the other.
Ty, cleared it pretty quick with the thorns build, gonna grind back here and try it with a melee build next
You can counter act his meteors with Rannis darkmoon if cast immediately after you dodge his jump into the air. Ranni's darkmoon can also be cast immediately after he does his light speed attack if you are near him when he starts it.
Phase 2 is just so wild 😂
It's a bunch of bs!
@@Afrocypher9590 ahahah you are just trash he is not that hard after 107 tries i beat him in ng+2 and beat him again 2 times more after that
Thanks for the video, I just got the multi layer rings of light and I’m a strength faith build so this is the method I’ll try when I get to him
Cold cross naginata + heavy fingerprint shield helped me.
I genuinely found going in with a shield with carian retaliation and an antspur rapier and parrying him to be the easiest strategy for this fight
That is exactly what I am doing except I am golden parrying him
Don’t forget Fingerprint Shield + Antspur Rapider. Total cheese.
I used mohgwyn spear instead works very nicely
Sword Spear and Bleed Grease did the trick.
And 3 heft rot pots
If you can use the scholars shield or shield grease… yeah gg Radahn it’s over
Honestly can't believe a video with builds to beat Radahn doesn't include this. Just L1 poke to death, completely ignore his entire moveset, he becomes a complete joke.
toxic gamer alert
Best build to beat Radahn is Mohg spear and fingerprint shield..
..if you're struggling to find openings..you can just attack and guard at the same time..
You can use the Ash of war when you see and opening for big damage
Biggest thing to look out for is phase 2...standing in front of him will see you getting your heat stolen
It took me around 6 tries to beat him with this build..use your usual bleed set up and you're good to go.
I managed to beat him!
Used Cold Milady. Basically didn’t even touch my ashes of war lmao. Wing stance can be good for closing diatances and doing decent damage. But anything can work if you have enough time to land it.
I just beat him last night, used black steel greatshield and meteoric ore blade, definitely a tough fight
On my dex/int build, I used Wing of astel + brass shield was the set up I used
wing of astel worked wonders on gaius as well (also on romina, but what doesn’t)
Brass shield just to block part of that slash-slash-double slash combo which is pretty hard to fully dodge
Black steel great shield works really well with sacred affinity makes it 100% holy resist
Scarlet Aeonia and Milady was the only thing i needed✨
Easiest and most consistent by far is Fingerprint Shield + Poke Blood Anspier Rapier.
It deals bleed and rot while staying safe behind the shield
Also any hyper armor high stagger ash + melanias rune and defensive buffs are strong against him.
I havent done him with deflect tear, but i have a feeling thats the real GOAT
5:28 "Oh i missread that" proceeds to take 0 damage and avoid the attack perfectly😂😂
This boss forced me to learn how to use the Buckler shield. It honestly made this fight a joke. Highly recommend it if you’re having trouble (pair it with the Miséricorde)
Oh my god it’s Gwyn all over again
Yeah for the first phase.. the second is just Michael bay mind wtf
@@scal221 Trust me if you stay right on him at all times he’s pretty free (if you’re parrying). Just takes s bit of practice
Yeah and then they Say its the hardest fromsoft boss
just get better and try to roll at the good timing ???
Quickly learned that "damn all the shiny new weapons I wanna play with dont really fit a mostly int build."
Eventually get to Radahn and run it for a couple hours solo, w/ Mimic, with Ansbach, w/ Mimic and Ansbach, w/ Mimic, Ansbach and Thollier to get a feel for the fight with various conditions.
1.Grab the golden braid from the shaman village
2.Get the lords divine fortification from Gideon ofnir after beating malenia
3.Get as many scadutree fragments as you can
There you go this combo will give you 90% damage resistance against holy damage, pop the fortification right as he does his big aoe in phase two and ALL of his holy follow ups stop dealing damage to you
Turn his phase 2 back into his phase 1
If you want even more safety against him use the mimic tear and give him marikas blessing plus hefty and normal rot pots
Once you use divine fortification your tear will also have the same damage resistance as you making him immune to the holy aoes and giving him an easy full heal he can use repeatedly while also rotting radahn which he is very weak to
This boss has a lot of ways to deal with him you just have to know which is the best for you
when i found the putrescance cleaver i'd already been using a cold infused butchering knife - i had bloodhound step on it but switched to savage lion's claw after the DLC came out. imho i think the cold butchering knife is low key better. the damage is similar, the frost is similar, and you get 1% max hp back every time you land a hit. i don't use the cleaver's weapon art really ever, soooo
but i'm also biased, because i've loved the butchering knife since release. something about it, lol. brilliant weapon.
Carrian retaliation + miscerode. Ever faithful
2:48 Frostbite increases damage taken by 20%, not 10%.
I use two cross-naginatas, one with bleed and one with frost using chillingly mist. Does the most damage out of stuff I’ve experimented with on ng+7.
I beat him with Deadly Poison Perfume and Poison Antspur with "The Poison Flower Blooms Twice", the absolute nuke when you trigger deadly poison, poison and rot was hilarious!
Fun fact, Multilayered rings of light is boosted by the Goldmask to make that spell even better.
Dual Godskin Peeler Jump-Multihit-Bleedbuilt was the way for me
Big hammer from the black knights (sacred infused), perfect block tear, guard talisman, physical and sacred defense talismans, Malenia great rune.
just attack with guard counters, 3 of those will stagger. best build for me
Devonias hammer + deflect tear + guard counter, double turtle neck, and two handed sword talismans shreds radahn
Cheers! First time seeing multi ring of light - looks interesting.
I beat him after 7 tries with a great shield and a spear with blood loss, intense and long fight, but working
it was surely a fucking boring ass fight...
I’ve been using my strength/int build and ita got me through most of the dlc except for radahn
I listen to this when going to bed, would recommend, great voice, great hair
You infused the Dryleaf Arts with cold to proc frostbite.
I infused the Dryleaf Arts with cold to cosplay Sub-Zero.
We are not the same
Radahn apparently wanted payback for the first fight with him with all the other NPCs ganging up on him.
cheers you are very very good. i died so much time.. more than 100 i think but I didn't want to respec. at last, i summon tollier and tiche (she was my mvp), my build is a pure sorcerer, i won with ranni dark moon (can negate the rocks and freeze the bastard) and Night Comet. imho aggro looks low with this spell.
This is really good video.
Taylew Golem summon and Heal from Afar, stay locked onto Radhan when you wanna heal Taylew since Radhan is almost always in Taylew's face.
Any decent greatshield with the Antspur (blood infused with poison mist ash). You just shield poke him until he drops, not even an issue. The double stack of rot and poison eat him alive and the bleed procs just speed it along. The grab in phase two is literally the only thing he can even hope to win with.
2:16 Actually, the Maternal Staff is kinda bugged right now. instead of only applying a portion of it's arc scaling to blood sorceries for a ~40% status boost like the Albinauric Staff or the Dragon Communion Seal it applies the full 165% arcane scaling to the status build up.
oh that's very interesting, explains the one hit bleed procs.
I used the ability of Reduvia with the lord of blood’s exultation, summoning Mimic Tear.
I eventually got tired of getting him to down 10% health so the way that i beat him was that i put on the antspur rapier and verdigris greatshield with the greatshield talisman and kindred of rot exultation and proceeded to poke him while blocking absolutely every attack and barely taking any damage
My mimic lockin last 5 second and proc bleed. He's the real one
I finally know what to use on Radahn! Thanks!
I was going through a Dragonborn build where I used both dragon communion, dragon cult and ancient dragon weapons and spells, and it was going well until this boss.
I wish it was at least viable without becoming a speedrunner.
The best build is porcupine and its not even close 😎
I used a keen uchigatana and a keen nagakiba dual wielding with no armor. Then I used mimic tear at the start of second phase. I died to him a lot doing the fight without mimic so by the time I used mimic I knew the fight pretty well. Once I started using mimic tear, I beat him second try.
“Packs a heavy punch, literally” and “fist weapons”
When describing a weapon that literally does not punch. It just has kicks and palm strikes
I died 50+ trying my best against this boss. Impenetrable thorns... 2 tries. And the 1 try that I died because my cat jumped in front of my screen and refused to move. Thank you.
I feline your pain 🥁
Thank you. You saved my mental health.
Beat him with the claws of night pretty easy, i reccomend trying them for those who havent, shard of alex and the new throwing talisman buffs the Aow
We got Ainrun turning family friendly before we got gta 6
Okay
0:47 "FAITH TWO"
Finger print shield and spear…
spam r1….
watch your stamina bar…
double turtles talisman
The worst part about learning that dryleaf is good against radahn is that I used dryleaf for most of my dlc run but I was too scared to fight him properly so I just summoned or looked for cheese builds online.
I was at it for few hours with an int build. got frustrated, specced into thorns and got him on first attempt. T_T
I beat him with the Claws of Night. The weapon skill works really well at close range against him.
60/10/60/48/19/12/25/60
Golden Vow + Flame, Grant Me Strength + Scholar's Shield
Full Solitude Armor, Bloody Helice + Fingerprint Shield
Talismans: Greatshield, 2-headed turtle, Verdigris, Lord of Blood
Poise + stamina recovery in flask
Mimic tear.
I had two people help me beat him, and I'm not ashamed. It still came down to either me or him losing the fight.
For anyone trying the impenetrable thorns route, I completely forgot that you can spam cast the spell to make subsequent casts faster.
Talis: [dragon crest shield/shield talisman/radagon icon/ godfrey icon)
Why the icons? Its a int build , it is indeed focused in melee combat, but uses carian sword spells for extra sauce :3
putrescent cleaver is such a nice weapon
I used high end str build with haligtreecrest greatshield and blood godskinstitcher +24 with mimic. Poking behind greatshield worked very well. Not the most heroic style😅
I thought midir was hard af when the ringed city released but he became my all time favorite fight. Freide is hard because there’s 3 phases and phase 3 is pretty aggressive. Gael is just a good boss. The right difficulty and balanced. Radahn is the hardest boss I’ve ever done next to orphan and Lawrence. Idk why Lawrence was so hard for me but it was awful for me
reduvia with the highest poise armor, can't change my mind.
Broooo!!!! The thorns… appreciate you 🥹. I finally beat that MF’r haha 🙌🏾
