- My Chemical Romance is a really cool band. I love their theme of doomsday/Halloween. It is really cool. This song was awesome. I really liked it a lot. I cannot wait to hear more of the Chemical boys and their Black Parade album.
I don't know much about them as this was only the second song I have ever heard of them. But, what I have heard makes me want more. This band doesn't just have good music, but they are total entertainers. I bet their concerts were really awesome.

Fun fact: Every member of the band (except for the bassist Mikey) got injured when they shot the video. Third-degree burns, torn limbs, and fractured hands, specifically. They don't do anything halfway

I am never usually a 'you need to listen to the whole album in the right order' person, but The Black Parade really gains by a full listen in album order, so after you're done reacting one at a time I recommend spending the hour or so to listen through. It's just fantastic.
My Chemical Romance are definitely musical & creative geniuses 💀 they're one of a kind! you should check out "Sleep" and "The Sharpest Lives" next
Agree, a guy trying to kick himself in the nuts is “entertaining”. These guys put out deep beautiful music.
MCR doesn't do halfway.
You have to check out their song MAMA, if you want their more creative writing, versatile side. They implemented a lot of sounds reminiscent of great erras of music in their song Mama.

This is an anti suicide song :) the band says they wrote it at their lowest point after a member was dealing with severe anxiety.

MCR became an addiction for me. No other music compares. For me this is the best band that’s ever been.

this was the first mcr video i seen when i start listening to them and i loved it!
One of my favorite songs. One gripe I have with the video is that they clipped it early. The album version has the instruments fade out and the lead singer Gerard Way's vocals (with multiple harmony layers) singing the chorus acapella for the last few seconds. I think it hits the listener better.
It’s funny you called them adrenaline because it was pure adrenaline that got them through this video shoot. They filmed this in one night, the same weekend they filmed the Black Parade video (and filming 2 whole videos in 2 days is exhausting itself because one video usually would take the whole weekend) but during this video they all got injured. They look like they’re in pain because they were. Both the guitarists’ and the drummer’s hands were wrecked from playing all day both days, one of the guitarist’s (Frank) talked the singer (Gerard) causing Gerard to tear almost every ligament in his ankle, and the drummer got 2nd and 3rd degree burns from the fire behind him.
Also, fun fact: the thing on fire behind them is the float they used in the Black Parade video

Gerard tore ligaments in his foot during the video, so when he's rolling around on the floor he's actually in pain. And the drummer bob bryer (We hate him) got third degree burns because he was so close to the fire. Frank (one of the guitarist) actually jumped on Gerard when he was in a kneeling position which caused the injury. And if you look, the thing that is on fire is the float that they were standing on in"welcome the black parade".
We don't all hate Bob.
@@jimthecactus7425 He might be a good drummer but he's racist and used to bully mikey. And one time he hit gerard to "Make him stronger." so I understand if you like him because he's a good drummer but other then that no.

This is only the second reaction of yours I have watched, but it is so much fun seeing the enjoyment and appreciation from you. I do disagree about the nothing special part. Gerard is an artistic genius across the board i.e. his other artistic interests and endeavors. He reminds me of Tori Amos who has so much creativity packed inside.
Yea, I might have not clarified that very well. I think these guys are amazing. I was just speaking from the rhythm and chord perspective as a familiar rock sound that we all love.
I cannot wait to hear more of their songs. I am sure my eyes will be opened to some amazement! They are unique for sure.

fun fact: in this video, both the drummer, Bob and the singer, Gerard, got hurt xD Bob got really bad splinters on his fingers and burned his leg and Gerard got tackled so bad he had to walk with a cane for some days. At the end of the video, where Gerard's on the ground and screaming it's because we was actually in pain and couldn't stand up hahah

The only part I disagree with lol. These men are incredible musicians and carry a lot of really interesting musical and lyrical concepts in everything they've released. I love how much you're appreciating these guys though! MCR is one of my all-time favorites.
I cannot wait to hear more. Thank you for that. I am sure I will hear the more creative details as I get further into them. I am not a musical genius, so really, my opinion is worthless...hahaha. I was just thinking that the song sounded familiar, in the sense that, the rhythm and cadence was predictable to me. If you notice in the song, I was actually pounding my fist in parts that I knew were coming...as if...I heard the song before. So....I guess my comment was based on that feeling. I do think their songs are amazing and catchy and I cannot wait to hear more.

MCR are my all time favorite Band, i saw them live a few times and IT was always amazing. You should react to some of their older Songs from their first two Albums ( one of my favorites are headfirst for Halos, thank you for the venom, cubicles, drowning Lessons, it's not a fashion Statement it's a deathwish, early sunsets over monroeville...) To be honest, i love almost all of their Songs 😁

You need to do the early stuff like Helena and Ghost of You and then the last album Na Na Na/Sing combo which is a story all in itself. Everyone got hurt in this vid, Bob the drummer suffered third degree burns and Frank (guitarist) landed on Gerard (singer)and tore his ankle ligaments

Going to disagree with you. Gerard is a musical genius and the rest of the band is extremely talented and helps lift it all together. Quite literally the best album from start to finish I have ever heard still. A rock opera that tells a deep story while having banger after banger. That's musical genius.

It doesn't take over the top technical skill to be a good band/artist but having a reason or being entertaining will usually get you further, another example for a not amazing "band"/artist is Marilyn Manson not really amazing musically, but at least he himself is a pretty down to earth guy even though he does pull off some weird stunts, he's a kind of person who is reasonable, then you have someone like Ywngie Malmsteen who can play some extremely insane stuff that people spend their lives learning, but he can be pretty rude and self entitled (he hates donuts), but then you have people like Michael Angelo Batio who is a phenomenal guitarist but he also gives so much back to his fans whilst MAB is an amazing guitar teacher and a skilled guitarist, MCR has helped a lot of people struggling through life and they always go above and beyond with all their songs.
