Saw all three of these incredible musicians live, but not together, this had to be the best concert in music history!!! Love, love, love!❤
refreshing... look at everyone enjoying the talent without a sea of cellphones held skyward...
beautiful.
Hey Paul K there is good music out there if you're willing to look for it
Good God Almighty, Miss Etta James.

This music takes over my body. I can’t stop moving. Legendary.
I like it.👏👏👏
Blues make you move , it's soul music. Shake on baby 💞‼️
I feel the same way but you don’t want to see me dance. I’m not sure I could beat Frankenstein in a dance contest!
You are not alone😅😅😂😂

With the corona virus sweeping the country right now Etta James and this hot band really, really boosted the spirits. Man she really tore it up ... that's a force of nature right there!
hahaha, desde colombia, roigth.. big 80s (80th)
Etta left it all on the field throughout her career. A consummate performer. This is golden... the track she did with Chuck Berry at his Keith Richard organised birthday celebration was God tier. Its on YT look it up...
@Whiskey And Mojo Tequila too.

Magical performance ! Thank you !
"A Good Thing Never Ends", said Mick Jagger. Rock on John Lee, Etta, Carlos and Elvin. You live forever.
Never be the same without these guys
A great band! I knew that was Paul Butterfield on the blues harp when I heard his first note! An unbeatable line up of talent, all complimenting each other!
I grew up with this kind of music. My parents, God rest their souls, were big fans. I want to thank u for keeping it alive. Every time I hear music like BB King, Etta, Little Ritchie & so many more, I can Invision my daddy gliding across the dance floor to meet up with my momma. They would own the floor, sort of speak.

Awesome 💃
Can't get enough of this 🎶
This is the best blues jam of the decade. All greatest legendary blues heroes really can't get till now. Tribute to the greatest legendary blues.
First time I seen John preform in movie blues brothers and since then I will always remember him. Santana in my days was the best guitar player, even I listen to hard rock. So we had many great musicians many past away and many still rocking.

It was so great to see Bill. He made these concerts possible, and after he passed. Rock & Roll performances were never the same.

The great Etta James with the best backup band you could imagine... One night at an outdoor concert I found myself right in front of Etta James... the heat and power coming from that stage was unbelievable... she was on fire! Since that night I have felt she was the greatest blues singer ever. RIP, with your heavenly voice.

Legends...one & all.
Mr. John Lee Hooker is my favorite blues musician. I love his voice and will always be in his debt to discovering (as well as my high school band teacher who lent me Mr. Hooker records) the wonderful blues music. And btw, he wears sunglasses because he's so cool his gaze would freeze you. ;)

One of the Greatest Blues singer ever seen. The credit even goes to Santana.

My god what a glut of music wealth. My cup runneth over. Mad respect for everyone on this stage, but nobody can rock a house like Etta. New Years eves at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco were crippling. God I miss her.

What about Elvin Bishop and Paul Butterfield?

What concert/music festival was this?
I'm not sure Buddy would appreciate what you did with his name. Lol
Can't get enough of Paul Butterfield. Jamming to him since 1968! What a lineup!!!
I miss them so much Etta James, Paul Butterfield John Lee Hooker, people who knew how to make music and do not forget Elvin Bishop, Wow what a night

Thought that was Elvin Bishop. Wow!
Una harmónica espectacular! Etta como siempre estupenda! Gracias por regalarnos estos preciosos momentos de buena música!!
On harmonica the fabulous Paul Butterfield, the year before he passed away R.I.P. ( born 17 December 1942 - died 4 May 1987).
@@era6938 Just one year before , looking at him at this concert he does not look in great health , i wonder what caused his end.
o.k , found it
Beginning in 1980, Paul Butterfield underwent several surgical procedures to relieve his peritonitis, a serious and painful inflammation of the intestines.[7] Although strongly opposed to heroin as a bandleader, he developed an addiction to it, which, according to Steve Huey in AllMusic's Butterfield biography, led to "speculation that he was trying to ease his peritonitis symptoms". The financial strain of supporting his drug habit was bankrupting him, and the deaths of his friend and one-time musical partner Mike Bloomfield, and manager Albert Grossman had shaken him.[
Sad that so many talented people end in this sort of way
F***ing amazing ...thanks so much - watching on Jan 17, 2020. Still relevant!

Always loved Paul Butterfield Blues Band. Saw them at the Philmore in 1968. Also on that card was a newish band called Fleetwood Mac. What a show!
Ok
FILLMORE....a venue and a major street....the building was later used by the JIM JONES SUICIDE CULT.
Linda Dee, I can only imagine how amazing that show was! Being 1968, Was this Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green?
@@robertevans7534 In 68 yes Robert with Peter Green,,,the real Fleetwood Mac
Thanks so very much to Bill Graham and everyone who made the Fillmore rock on both coasts and gave us so much music therapy to carry us through life. I was lucky enough to see Santana, Joe Cocker, Chuck Berry and BB King all in the same night at fillmore west when it was located down town. orange sunshine. the room turned to 2 dimensions & I wondered if it stayed that way would i be able to fool my folks?
Oh man, dit is zo goed. Feeling young again all over.
This is really so good.

Giving a dislike to this concert is like disliking a scenic tour of the Grand canyon for the first time followed up by rafting in the Colorado River below! Doesn't make any sense.
think they thought it was gonna be k-pop or something?
