- Even though they were both from the same place, they couldn’t have been more different. One grew up in the streets and the other in church but, music would be the thing to link these 2 vocal talents for decades to come.Ruff Endz had the early 2000’s R&B game on lock from the moment their first single dropped. However, their outstanding sound and look couldn’t keep them from eventually disappearing from the scene for many years leading fans to believe that they would never be heard from again. All I know and care about is _No More._ They came out during the dawn of the aughts and during that time, I was sorta displeased w/ R&B music, overall. Also, I think I was sorta burned out. From 1992 - 1998 are the years that I was obsessed w/ music. After 1999, my excitement sorta fizzled out. I was in high school and I had other things on my mind. Anyway, I posted a comment under one of they more recent efforts in music and whew! One of them told me about myself. I don't remember which one, but he basically told me that I had no business commenting on his music, "Do you know me" and "Who do you think you are?" Basically, if you ain't gon praise me then don't say anything at all. My attitude was, "Well sh¡t, you oughta be happy that somebody even care enough to listen to y'all lil' fonky song." Whatever. Ain't no love lost. I still enjoy _No More_ and play it all the time. Bubblegum pop sorta infiltrated R&B music so true blue R&B was slowly phasing out.

In Baltimore, growing up in the “streets” + growing up in the church are the same coin. Imagine u live with your moms and her family but you usually spend long weekends and the summers with your pop’a folks.
