Hello, I am also getting mine very soon, how are you finding it, any initial problems?
it's been 2 years since you wrote this comment, how's it going?
You are the best teacher ever :) Thank you :)
Thank you for these lessons! i just started to play the violin, after 5 years of mandolin i thought this would be easy but it's actually kinda hard to learn so the lessons are very useful! :-)
Awesome tutorial, man. Getting a violin this week, and I'm hoping that I can play this very soon.
I guess 51 people didn't like that they couldn't see your right eye. I don't know what else not to like- this was very helpful. Having played the piano for years, I think I've figured out how to do basic fingering just by seeing him play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
Really like your videos- though you could use better lighting. You have a very easy way of teaching, and you seem very genuine and have a good sense of humor. I am 57 and have always wanted to lean how to play the violin. My daughter just bought me one for Christmas! I am so excited to learn. I know it will take some time, but I have waited this long, so I’m cool with that. Thank you!
Yeah this video has terrible lighting, but the newer ones are much better in case you haven't seen them ☺️ But that is amazing, it is never to late to start learning an instrument and i wish you the best of luck on your violin journey! Also, time and patience are your bet friends 😉
so fun to watch you! extra brownie points!!! bhahahaha cute!
Thanks. After 2h of practicing I was able to play this one decently. I always thought that the violin would be impossible for me.
Watching over quarantine. 😅 now planning to buy a violin 😊😊
This video is so dark man ,,, could you put it right please,,, I cannot even see the strings . Thank you
you look so nice and friendly ............. thanks for the videos........
thank you so much for making these. despite the poor lighting in this one, it was still extremely helpful
A demon is teaching us violin. LOL. You're awesome dude. Love your humor as well as your musical skill.
Thanks helped me a lot now majoring in music in Oxford uni
Your awesome! Thanks for the videos, I just brought a violin yesterday.
Cool,Your making me learn!!:D Keep up the work
I really wish you would start making videos again because I greatly enjoyed this!
I like the way you teach. I actually understand it. You're funny, too, which makes the video more enjoyable. 5 out of 5 stars from me. :)
Omg he is the best teacher on UA-cam :D I learned a lot :3
I'm just joining in here in April 2022. Further lessons will likely answer, but what school did you choose, and how is it going? I've always wanted to play the violin, but was always 'too busy'. Going to give this a shot. Violin should arrive in a few days. Can you recommend a link to a vid for violin set up and tuning?

Suzuki is japanese not chinese >_>
oops my bad! your absolutely right man! :P
it's all good there's so many different asian races like korean, chinese, japanese, people can get them mixed up sometimes
Ethan Atchley It's not called "races", it's called "Ethnicities" omg
gearofwar113 It's (they're) not called "Ethnicities", it's (they're) called "Nationalities" omg
Fucking idiot.
an Gaidheal Who are you to argue with? are you an asian? fucker .Trying to look from your western way and think its right in your way?
Personally think Twinkle twinkle sounds better starting on G. I just started learning the violin and tried playing the song from ear and trail-n-error. Thanks for your videos! Not super stiff like some lessons.
I just acquired a violin. You are my first tutorial to begin learning to play it. This tutorial is awesome although this video has shadows and can't see exactly where your fingers are. Thank you for this tutorial!
oh...by the way. I can play guitar.
i like your style, good teacher
Thank you! 😃
I find it difficult keeping my fingers on one string without it touching the others. Did you have that problem in the beginning?
not really... you can learn from your mistakes
Shirley Edwards your problem is almost certainly finger angle. You want to make sure that it is the tips of fingers and not at all the finger pads touching the strings.
I will buy my first violin..Im too old to learn but this is beginning of fun..Thanks
great video sir best of luck for your future.....
I'm a pianist and just brought a violin for fun - love you tutorial that's how it got me started - now everything make so much sense (coz I was trying to do a C at start and it became a mess lol..)
