I got about 45% in most subjects during my metric years. I thought I’d reached a dead end. Fast forward, 6 years later, I ended up in the US where I applied for Cardiac Sonography. I got 94% in anatomy and physiology, 90 in ultrasound physics, 91% vascular ultrasound, 89% cardiac ultrasound. Truth is metric results should not stop you from pursing your dream career.

I heard you talking about grade 8 and 9.] I am in grade 9 (I'm a boy) and I have been obtaining level 7s in NATURAL sciences since term 1 until term 3 but my math was level 3 in term 1 , my results from term 1 weren't good ( learners average was 66.33%) but I decided to study more in holidays and everyday ... learners average increased to (68.33%) I wasn't very happy and I got position 5 in my grade so I decided to study even more so I got 5 distinctions in term 3 (including NS) and the other 4 subjects were all level 6's. I'm happy enough now because learners average increased more to (79.67%) and now I'm position 1 in my grade . I'll continue coming back here for more study tips to develop study motivations and disciplines. Love youuuu🥺

I'm currently doing grade 11 and I take Economics, Maths Lit, Business and Accounting. I want to go to UCT and I recently found out that I need Pure Maths to make to the Commerce Faculty. I've been weighing the options I have and I've decided to repeat grade 11 so I can do the Maths that's required. I was also given the option to do Pure Maths in grade 12 next year by my HOD but I'm not sure how well I'll do since the last time I did Pure Maths was in grade 9. It was not an easy decision, repeating a whole grade but I decided to look with a different viewpoint. Repeating grade 11 will give me a chance to improve on the subjects I need improvement on (Accounting and Economics). I do however have been slacking because I had this "I'll do this again next year anyways" but your video has changed my mentality. I'm also aiming for 7 distinctions. It's hard but not impossible. I fell in love with the university of Capella Town and I don't imagine myself studying somewhere else that's why I want to work hard. Thank you

After matric I switched to law and I just finished my Bcom (law) degree I am supposed to be completing my LLB degree soon. Don't get me wrong, I love Law school, but I just heard about a 6 months short course being offered at UKZN for students who did Maths Lit, who wish to convert to pure Maths and I have been obsessing about doing it since. I should have also just repeated grade 10 instead of dropping Maths when I did all those years ago, but I did not have enough courage. I have regretted that decision every singe day since 2009 when I was in grade 11 doing Maths Lit.
Don't they tell you the pros and cons of picking certain subjects? I feel like your time could have been saved had you had someone guiding you to take pure Maths and not Maths Literacy. It's a shame really.
@@_theerealnono_7694 we had no advice whatsoever. We were supposed to go to a career convention in Grade 9 ( 2020) but we couldn't because of the pandemic. I feel like that would've been very helpful in my decision making

I’m in matric now and I’m really struggling with physics and Afrikaans as an additional language. I’m not proud of my term 1 marks and I’ve also dropped in life sciences and maths. Hey I relate so much with your story lol but I learned the hard way to take my studies serious.. In grade 8 and 9 I was always number 1 in the top 10, then came grade 10 I went from number 1 to number 5 that discouraged me and my marks started to decline from then, in matric I was having this baddy attidute lol I dunt even know where it came about but I was partying and not coming to school on Monday so that really affected me but nonetheless I passed by matric with B and all subjects above 60% and even a distinction except Maths(I got 48%) that affected me from getting in the university that I wanted, so I had to go to college instead of university(realized that my diploma from college doesn't get me the job I want) then later on I rewrote my matric and got into university, took my studies serious and finally I'm a qualified engineer.
@@zm7674 our journeys are not the same! some have to cross through hurdles before reaching their goals! The fact that you completed a College diploma, then rewrote your matric and went to a University is inspirational on its own, that’s the power of not giving up!!! ✊

Physics in Grade 10 is so brutal 😂💔 I remember almost half of the my classmates changing subjects after receiving their term 1 results. But once you get used to it , you'll see it's not that deep. When you get persistent it'll become Very fun because you enjoy what you understand

We are the same when it comes to maths I also get 85% and sometimes 100% ever since I arrived in high school but I balance my subjects I do 9 subjects but I only get 6 distinctions and level 6 on three easiest subjects ngishaye u100 kwi maths, physics and accounting

In grade 8 and 9 I was always number 1 in the top 10, then came grade 10 I went from number 1 to number 5 that discouraged me and my marks started to decline from then, in matric I was having this baddy attidute lol I dunt even know where it came about but I was partying and not coming to school on Monday so that really affected me but nonetheless I passed by matric with B and all subjects above 60% and even a distinction except Maths(I got 48%) that affected me from getting in the university that I wanted, so I had to go to college instead of university(realized that my diploma from college doesn't get me the job I want) then later on I rewrote my matric and got into university, took my studies serious and finally I'm a qualified engineer.

@@zm7674 our journeys are not the same! some have to cross through hurdles before reaching their goals! The fact that you completed a College diploma, then rewrote your matric and went to a University is inspirational on its own, that’s the power of not giving up!!! ✊

JESUS has been really good to me,am in grade 10 and I always have anxiety about my marks.My marks are really good,I practically give myself time to connect with GOD then after that coolness I get down with it and understand my work.Sciences is not easy guys so I don't really rely on my intelligence but my GOD 😘

I struggle with procrastination and I went onto youtube just to find something to motivate me, I'll be writing my finals this early October and I feel that I'm just behind and I've actually started to doubt if I will ever make it. Physics in Grade 10 is so brutal 😂💔
I remember almost half of the my classmates changing subjects after receiving their term 1 results.
But once you get used to it , you'll see it's not that deep. When you get persistent it'll become Very fun because you enjoy what you understand
I felt like physics was the easiest subject in grade 10,now I'm in grade 12 ahh it's another story, I get like 45 to 53 percent so😢
To be honest you literally changed my life. I deleted all my social media
And my teacher makes it more harder by never showing up.
I don't do physical science

I wish that you had made this video in term 2, right now its kinda late for me since I'm writing my trial now but other than that great advice especially the time table part. I finally know how to do it.....
If I may ask, how would you advice me to improve my math skills, I am sitting at around level 5 right now, the thing is i do not know what i know or what i do not know.....
We are the same when it comes to maths I also get 85% and sometimes 100% ever since I arrived in high school but I balance my subjects I do 9 subjects but I only get 6 distinctions and level 6 on three easiest subjects ngishaye u100 kwi maths, physics and accounting
