When you said 3 hours per past paper I was like DAYUMMM. I remembered teh way I did past papers. Now I'm a crummer, so when I crammed, I was able to do about 4-5 past papers in one day and finish studying before the next day. How? SECTION BY SECTION! You said it. This was my way of going through all of them quickly. It's very effective. Now since it's been a while since I matriculated High School (2018), I don't remember if I'd answer all 5 sections (let's say I did 5 papers at a time) in one go then marked all at the end. Or I'll do the section, mark, go to the next, mark, and so forth. Now that I'm typing this out I remembered that its the latter. Section A from 2017, then mark, then Section A from 2016, then mark, and so forth. That way, what I did not get right the first time around, I'll learn why then by the last paper, 2013, I'd score almost 100% for the section. It's a game changer. Butv tbh, cramming gets to you especially when you;re REALLY struggling with a subject. AND, it NEVER works in uni. I learnt that the hard way😂. And I'd also try and go ALL the way back. Sometimes we saw that a question from 2009 was in the paper😭 (but seeing a question from that far back seldom happens). I say 2014 it a good place to end.

@@sikelelamonakaliHeyyy❤ can u make an example of the topic of acids and bases in matric. What basic concepts do you need to know from grade 11 to understand it better in matric?
@@neo13994hey there, before I reply to this, I need to know if you’re doing the CAPS or IEB syllabus? Because the syllabus for the 2 are slightly different 🌻✨
Hey there, are you not able to access them online? If you aren’t, send me a DM on Instagram: @sikelela_monakali_ and I can maybe try sending some of them to you, or sending the direct links of the past papers websites🌻✨
Hello there Euclidean requires you to apply the theoretical concepts. After learning those concepts, you need to dedicate time to now applying them. I suggest you take 5 past papers and do only the Euclidean sections of those papers. Look at the different ways that they ask questions, especially the questions that require the same approach. Focus on the concepts that you find difficult and that count a lot in the exam. You want to score a lot of marks in those questions. Euclidean contributes a large portion of the exam, so therefore, they test you on a lot; you need to see this as a good thing because this is where you should be scoring a lot of marks. I hope I’m making sense🌻✨
i am writting my trial exam maths p2 on monday and im so stressed. i feel like I'll forget my strategies on answering trigonometry especially the 2D and 3D dimensions😔
Hey there🥺 You still have time to implement my tip of practicing only the section of trig 2D and 3D dimensions in past papers. Trig counts a lot in the paper, but that can be seen as a good thing, because there’s a variety of questions, of which they repeat some concepts in some papers, so this gives you an opportunity to score a lot of marks. Today is Saturday (the 24th of August) well that’s if you’re reading this reply on the same day that you commented the above comment. Take 3 past papers and do the trigonometry sections of each. Use the memos to mark yourself. But try to focus on the concepts that you see are repeated in all the papers🥹 I’m saying only do 3 papers because you are writing soon. So start with 3, and then once you’ve completed those, do maybe another 2. You still have time. There’s a reason why you encountered my video BEFORE your maths exam. I wish you all the best! Remain calm and stay confident in yourself.🌻✨you’ve got this!
I’m not quite familiar with March tests/assessments, but my assumption is that they only test you on the work that was covered from Jan - March right? So I would say that you should first go through March past papers (as the setup of the paper will be very similar to what you will be writing) And only after you have done multiple March papers, only then you can perhaps look at June/End-year exam papers (but with those you should only practice/study the topics relevant to you, the topics that you will be questioned on in your upcoming March test/assessment. ) Hope I’m making sense 💐💕
Hey🌻 So I was doing the IEB syllabus, and hence for my matric finals, I practiced IEB papers (papers set by the IEB) I also did papers set by other schools that are also part of IEB to see how different (IEB) teachers test their learners. I unfortunately couldn’t practice the papers of other provinces in grade 12 because the syllabus of those papers and mine was different. However in grade 8-11, the syllabus was almost the same. The major change came in grade 12, and I had to practice the most relevant papers. If you’re doing the CAPS syllabus, I suggest practicing the papers set by the national government first, and then go on and check papers set by other schools and other provinces. But prioritise doing papers set by the government (if you’re CAPS) or papers set by IEB (if you’re IEB). Doing papers of other provinces is good for extra practice I hope this makes sense. 🌻✨
Hi this year I will do olevel so I need ur help so from past paper I should learn from 2024,2023,2022,2021 only? And how to know which paper have memos or no and need part 2 plsss ❤
Hi there, I’m not familiar with olevel. Are you doing the Cambridge syllabus? Which syllabus are you doing? Okay so, I want you to FIRST do past papers of the most recent 5 years. So that would be 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2020. You prioritise doing these papers first. And only AFTER you’ve completed them all, then you go back and do 2019, 2018, 2017… and so on. But this is only IF you have time. And remember when you are doing the papers of 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015 (and so on) you ONLY do the sections of the past papers that are relevant to your syllabus. Dont waste your time doing sections that you won’t be tested/examined on. To know which papers have memos, you must check on the websites for the memos. On the same websites that you use for your past papers, the memos are there too. So before even opening the document of the past paper, you check that there is a memo for it. You open the memo document to confirm that it really is the memo. And only after you do the past paper, then use the memo to mark yourself. Part 2 is coming soon, stay tuned! Thank you for engaging by asking questions 🥺 I hope I’m making sense, if not, please ask again, and I’ll try my best to explain
Yes I printed them out because it allowed me to create more of the exam setting. But if you are unable to print them out, then that’s not a problem. As long as you have internet access/data to access them online - then you’re fine!!😅
Hey there. I’m considering creating an entire video where I’ll be answering this . Do you have specific things that you’d like me to give tips for? Like poetry? Comprehension? Literature? What about English home language would you like me to give tips on?
@@sikelelamonakalihey, thanks for responding. I would like to be assisted with paper 1, paper 3. Paper 2 is not much of a problem but it won’t hurt getting tips, a different method of doing things

Hey, you can search “www.testpapers.co.za” on Google, and you’ll see papers of different subjects. Or you can search “www.sappers.co.za” and you’ll see multiple papers there (for CAPS and IEB) Additionally, if you’re doing the IEB syllabus, you can search for the IEB website on Google and there are multiple papers there. I hope this helps🌻✨
We don’t really use calculators in medicine. I haven’t used one ever since semester 2 started, because we’re doing modules that don’t require calculators. I only used a calculator in semester one because I had modules such as physics and chemistry which involved calculations. I used the same calculator from grade 12 (CASIO calculator)
I’d suggest you do all the November exams and Supplementary exams (May) of the past 5 years (2020 - 2024) and the 2025 May exam (when it is posted on the past paper websites) After doing those 11 past papers, then you can go back to the previous years. However focus on past papers of the 5 years first
Hi there. It depends which syllabus your school is following. If you’re at a CAPS school, do CAPS papers. If you’re at an IEB school, focus on IEB papers.
I was doing past papet section by section around March,I've masterd alot of topics in physics, but now ? I've forgotten what i was doing 😭😭😭so that means I should start again???
You need to be consistent with it. But I understand where you’re coming from. You don’t necessarily need to start again. Go back and see what were you struggling with the most. The things that you understood and were mastering in March should just be revision now. But go back to the sections you did, and see which questions you found to be difficult, prioritise those, and find sections in other past papers that will help you with improving in the sections you found challenging in Match. In addition to that, you can do different past papers and see how you do. With the ones you did in March, redo those sections (if you have time). However if time is against your side, then go back and focus on the sections you struggled with. Remember that physics requires consistency, nail your definitions! Understand the concepts and make sure you are confident with applying the content. Going forward, Focus on applying the content with more and more past papers. (Continuing with the method you used in March) I hope this makes sense🥹🥹✨
Thank you so so much ❤ Currently I felt overwhelmed because I did not know how to revise for my final exams and with your tips I feel like I will nail it🥹❤

What would ur advise be to someone who is struggling with Euclidean
Hello there
Euclidean requires you to apply the theoretical concepts.
I hope I’m making sense🌻✨
thank you verrryyyy much
You’re most welcome! ✨🙏🏾thank you for watching
i am writting my trial exam maths p2 on monday and im so stressed. i feel like I'll forget my strategies on answering trigonometry especially the 2D and 3D dimensions😔
Hey there🥺
You still have time to implement my tip of practicing only the section of trig 2D and 3D dimensions in past papers.
But try to focus on the concepts that you see are repeated in all the papers🥹
I’m saying only do 3 papers because you are writing soon. So start with 3, and then once you’ve completed those, do maybe another 2. You still have time. There’s a reason why you encountered my video BEFORE your maths exam.
I wish you all the best! Remain calm and stay confident in yourself.🌻✨you’ve got this!
@@sikelelamonakali thank you so much, I needed this so much.
Can I ask in general...
If you are writing a march test/assessment, do I only go thru past papers from march?
I’m not quite familiar with March tests/assessments, but my assumption is that they only test you on the work that was covered from Jan - March right?
So I would say that you should first go through March past papers (as the setup of the paper will be very similar to what you will be writing)
And only after you have done multiple March papers, only then you can perhaps look at June/End-year exam papers (but with those you should only practice/study the topics relevant to you, the topics that you will be questioned on in your upcoming March test/assessment. )
Hope I’m making sense 💐💕
@@sikelelamonakaliAlrighty makes sense.
Thanks for replying too.

Hii there❤ I'd like to ask if you practiced past papers from all provinces or just yours for finals?
Hey🌻
So I was doing the IEB syllabus, and hence for my matric finals, I practiced IEB papers (papers set by the IEB) I also did papers set by other schools that are also part of IEB to see how different (IEB) teachers test their learners.
Doing papers of other provinces is good for extra practice
I hope this makes sense. 🌻✨
Hi this year I will do olevel so I need ur help so from past paper I should learn from 2024,2023,2022,2021 only? And how to know which paper have memos or no and need part 2 plsss ❤
Hi there,
I’m not familiar with olevel.
Thank you for engaging by asking questions 🥺
I hope I’m making sense, if not, please ask again, and I’ll try my best to explain
Thanks❤❤
You’re welcome🫶🏾
How did you do your past paper? Did you print them out or ...
Yes I printed them out because it allowed me to create more of the exam setting.
But if you are unable to print them out, then that’s not a problem. As long as you have internet access/data to access them online - then you’re fine!!😅

Hey, you can search “www.testpapers.co.za” on Google, and you’ll see papers of different subjects. Or you can search “www.sappers.co.za” and you’ll see multiple papers there (for CAPS and IEB)
Additionally, if you’re doing the IEB syllabus, you can search for the IEB website on Google and there are multiple papers there.

For medicine, do you need a scientific calculator or will just any normal calculator do?
We don’t really use calculators in medicine.
I haven’t used one ever since semester 2 started, because we’re doing modules that don’t require calculators.
I only used a calculator in semester one because I had modules such as physics and chemistry which involved calculations. I used the same calculator from grade 12 (CASIO calculator)
Which app can you use for past question papers ❤
You can use the app called “PAST PAPERS SA”
Or alternatively, you can use the websites I recommended in the video
Grade 10 but here I am :)
💃🏽💃🏽I’m glad! Yes these tips are helpful for you too
Which past paper do you suggets a grade 12 in 2025 to use
I’d suggest you do all the November exams and Supplementary exams (May) of the past 5 years (2020 - 2024) and the 2025 May exam (when it is posted on the past paper websites)
After doing those 11 past papers, then you can go back to the previous years. However focus on past papers of the 5 years first
Hope that helps💐
Thank you❤

So I should do ieb and caps papers?
Hi there.
It depends which syllabus your school is following.
If you’re at a CAPS school, do CAPS papers. If you’re at an IEB school, focus on IEB papers.
❤
❤️❤️
Does this apply to other grades😢
Yes, it definitely does!
(Continuing with the method you used in March)
I hope this makes sense🥹🥹✨
