I agree completely with what you said, but....
Would you agree that they made a really bad decision to remove the onsite grid power. The best thing they could have done is have a grid tied solar power system with battery backup. That way, they could draw power from the grid when needed. Now.... they will have to either upgrade their energy storage at great expense, or bring back in the electric utility at great expense.

Hey kids; You might reconsider a T.V. in the bedroom. We have one but seldom do we watch TV shows. Mostly we have "white noise" videos going, the Northern lights w/soothing music, rain and thunder, blizzard sounds w/ crackle fireplace. My wife and I are old now and have bouts of sleeplessness. These thing help with that greatly.

Having been here since episode 1 this episode raised some strange emotions. Happy tears that you are finally finished your dream home but sad tears for the same thing because how are we going to get our weekly fix now? Spencer must have been so full of pride knowing that he overcame all the challenges of complex tasks that he had to learn from scratch and did such an amazing job. Throughout Mackenzie pitched in to help with everything while becoming an accomplished video producer and giving birth to two great kids. Over a million of us have been witness to the most incredible project ever, learning so much valuable information at every stage. I can only imagine how vital this has been to anyone thinking about building their own off-grid shipping container home. We can only hope that you guys find another project to take on that we can follow with the same joy. Congrats to you both!

We all knew at the beginning of this journey, your home would be amazing. You definitely didn't disappoint. Your home is beautiful, inside and out. What the two of you created with just your own blood, sweat, and tears, while bringing two dogs and two babies into the mix, is just incredible. All of the animals (with the exception of the snakes), are a joy to see. I said in the beginning that most couples would not survive the ups and downs the two of you have survived, and come out on the other side with a love and marriage that is stronger than ever. I'm sure you're both swelled with joy and pride with the knowledge and accomplishments that you've gained during this build. You have so very much to be proud of! Thank you for taking us on this journey with you. I can't wait to see what the next journey will bring your way.

Your children will obviously grow up learning what's important in life...spending time with family, appreciating their surroundings. We built a home when we had 3 children with my husband, his father and his four brothers doing a great deal of the work and I helped where I could, painting, laying the flooring late at night while we had a family member home watching our children. I just have to say, Spencer you are amazing, with all that you've accomplished it's truly staggering that it turned out that good for someone with little to no experience. Many contractors wouldn't have been able to match it. I think the most incredible thing is that your family will be able to grow up in something you built with your own 2 hands. And you'll be able to watch them grow up in something you built. Of course Kenzie cannot be overlooked with looking after 2 kids and helping build, vlog and edit the videos. You guys make a formidable team and an awesome family. It's been fun watching you guys grow together during this process. Several things..first the obvious: your home is absolutely beautiful and so well-planned. Second, I live in a 1800 sq foot home with such wasted space that you have a LARGER kitchen…same size bathrooms..and BETTER floor plan; I have an inordinately large primary bedroom which is bigger than my great room (ridiculous waste of space) and a poorly designed “great room” which is NOT great. My weekends are consumed sweeping, mopping, and maintaining this home that is much larger than I need. Amazing..you have 1000 less sq feet and your house is far more functional with extra room in the important areas (kitchen). Lastly, I hope you both realize how inspirational you are to those of us you share your videos with. I’m soon downsizing and have sketched your layout for inspiration for my new home. You are a lovely family ♥♥♥ thank you!

Please make sure that you build one room, that is NOT a container! Like they did with their living room - the favorite one. Don't get me wrong - this guys did an absolutely amazing job, but, living enclosed in steel is NOT good... Your body gets detached from the electric and magnetic field of the planet that we need to be connected with. Containers form a kind of a Faraday Cage... No surprise their favorite room is the only non steel one...(apart of one wall)!

Spencer and McKenzie my God, you have done a phenomenal job in building your home.
You have built yourselves an absolute paradise. I am so happy for you guys beyond belief. I'm old enough to be your parents and I cannot express how happy I am for you two. I wish my wife and I could have done what you did when we started back in the 90s but the whole container home thing wasn't an option.
I love to build myself so I envy you Spencer. Never, ever take what you have built as a young man for granted. You created a sanctuary for your family.
God has blessed you and I love how your wife supported you every step of the way... even when you got very frustrated. I'm sure you let out that frustration off camera 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
You've learned invaluable experience that noone can take away from you. McKenzie you learned video editing on your own where you can have your own business doing that.
We all appreciate you showing your home to all of us. I love it. It's not about the size. What you've accomplished is worth more than a mansion to live in. As a man this brings me to tears! 😂. But tears of happiness for a young family.
Never let go of of each other and stay together because life is all about family, nothing else. In the future you will be able to sit down with your children and grandchildren and watch these videos and share and enjoy what you've done with your lives.
May God continue to bless your family 🙏

Wowwwww! Saint Germain said more than a mouthful! But, he is absolutely RIGHT! I pondered about what I could say to express how I truly feel, because I too, have been here for the long haul & I tell you, I can't begin to say it as well as Saint Germain has, so thank you Saint Germain for saying it so much better than I ever could have, because they're my sentiments exactly, the only thing I would change in his comment is that, I wish my husband & I had done something like this. Spencer & McKenzie, I have come to love & admire you two as though you were my very own. "Congratulations" on a job well done!!!
