Very cool house - I'm really impressed by the quality on the materials but even more so the design. Very stylish and sophisticated - I love the industrial aesthetic with all the black details, all warmed with wood. Great job!
It is cool and nice but i feel like at this price point dimensions of shipping containers are really holding back the potential. Absolutely nothing bad to say about the final product otherwise tho.

Yeah. I have read those reviews. But steel homes have been around a long time and they can be sustainable. You have to insulate well, but that is not hard to do. Whatever you do, there will be detractors. This feels like the falling water home shape the Frank Lloyd Wright used and I think it’s one of the best designs for aesthetically pleasing home in the woods. Just gorgeous and inspiring!

Devon...wow...just wow. Great design...boss discipline and great passion and planning. Easily the best container build I have seen and a fabulous location. It has it all. The fact you built all of this yourself is amazing - BRAVO!
The house assembled from shipping containers is very modern and unique on the outside, outstanding on the inside with exquisite details. The house is so beautiful and classy.
This is GORGEOUS! Beautiful design and the most beautiful views out the bedroom windows. I bet you would see some awesome wildlife too. Have been looking forward to this video since you showed it briefly in another video the other day :)
This is BEAUTIFUL! I could see this costing a Million bucks, if not even more. I love everything about this home. Being an Airbnb, it'll be paid off in no time.
I was excited until he said it was for B & B use. I'm finding that a lot of cool construction ideas that I see on youtube is for that purpose. I have a place in nature that I have been wanting to renovate & do something fun & not too big that blends with nature & I'm finding out that a lot of municipalities forbid this kind of construction for private use but they'll allow some of the stuff we see on youtube after they've re-zoned an area for the purpose of rentals. Then you're surrounded by noise & parties in nature & the only winner here is the municipality because they can charge higher taxes. Everybody is out to make money. We live in a world where, on one hand we say, let's save the planet, but are totally unwilling to make the necessary changes to achieve it. Let ordinary citizens build interesting dwellings to LIVE in, that will blend with the environment & won't ruin their budget. This stuff really makes me sad. All these great building ideas used for rentals. It's a huge problem that has to be addressed.
Why is it a problem? What’s wrong with rentals? Travel is a big part of life and someone doing business in travel is nothing wrong. short term rental in a city is an issue as it results in shortage of homes so that needs to be regulated. But if that is not an issue in some places, open up a travel dwelling. It’s part of life.
When it comes down to it, regardless what people say all that really matters to most of them is money and how much more of it they can get to buy more stuff, I’m curious to see how much of that money 💵 and stuff they are going to take with them when they die !
What a mind blowing home and view. That main bedroom looks like you are waking up in a 🎄 tree house. What a calming peaceful place. Absolutely perfect for a writer or artist. I am not usually fond of such minimalistic design. But the Scandinavians really have me obsessed with their styles. And this house is no exception. Great job. Hope you get it paid off in record time. Not sure if you know this trick to cut a 30 yr mortgage in half. All you need to do is pay one extra payment a year in December but put the extra payment totally on the principal.

Beautiful home! I work with a prefab container company local to me to build more affordable and sustainable housing along with some spec projects. So my goal is to do something similar.
Why is he using such a beautiful home as an air BNB? It's a labor of love and it would be a shame to rent it out to people who aren't going to take care of it and treat it like crap since it's not theirs.
I understand your point, he is acquiring asset, he is learning to not be emotionally attached to it. I wish him to have many more in the future if it’s in his plans. Containers are great ways to build assets with fancy design as long as you DIY to save cost and increase profitability.
You didn’t get what he said? He also got a private loan for 5percent. So he wants to make some profit off of it to pay the loan while someone else is renting it out everyday. 😁
That's a lovely home. I am sure he's looking forward to using it himself, although the AirBnB income will be welcome to pay the mortgage. He's put in the sweat equity - I know from living in the PNW that he's right about the costs if he hadn't done the work himself.

Don’t forget the extra costs he mentioned. Realistically, yours would be a million, two million dollar build depending on where you put it. Its always going to cost more than you think.
It looked like the windows might have had a a thin blackout pull down shade. Looks like there is some type of handle and possible shade at the very top.
What an inspiration to all young people. If you get of ya arse and work instead of sitting around waiting for life to come to you. Just exactly what you can achieve. Fantastic well done. 👍👍
I would love to know what the total cost was. My husband and I have started to seriously consider building a container home as housing prices in our area are INSANE.
He said almost $600,000 and he did all the labor himself. This is an INSANE price... it would be over a $1 million if he just hired someone to built it. I was hoping a) container homes being cheaper and b) your own labor - it would have been no more than couple hundred K, but it sounds like you get what you pay for and if you want to get high quality - it's not cheap.
@Yuriy Zenda the one argument I'd mention, is that not only did he use 5 containers stacked in a way to make it look fancy (the two containers on top with the overhang) which made him need to use a ton of structural steel. As well, as you see his appliances and furniture, you could cut a lot of costs by buying less expensive flooring, tables, stairs, and just about everything else. He has a lot of too if the line stuff in here, but a more budget friendly build could include a more basic design, more budget furnishings and more to cut costs
Really bums me out that people like him do all this just for an income property. If you aren’t building all that for yourself in the wilderness don’t build it. Leave the land alone if you just want to make money off it.
You should come see my container home in San Diego County! Its on 99 acres and has the most incredible sunsets and a bit of an ocean view even though its 22 miles inland. 100% off grid which is what made the land quasi affordable. Not on Airbnb though its just my dream house
I’m a little jealous…I’m from SD but live in western NC and now it’s so expensive there. Water may be an issue, too. There is no shortage of that where I live. I can visit, though. My family is there. I’d love to see your home! Put up a video! 😊
What are the best strategies to protect my portfolio? I've heard that a downturn will devastate the financial market, so I'm concerned about my $200k stock portfolio.,
Review your portfolio with a professional and don't make the same mistakes again. Diversify, as in your stock portfolio, and hopefully consult a professional. The key to building wealth is long term. I learned 10 years ago that you have to keep emotions (rookie) out of your investment decisions at all cost. Now, i've made over 800k in profits from my 350k investment.
I've been in touch with a financial analyst ever since I started investing. Knowing today's culture The challenge is knowing when to purchase or sell when investing in trending stocks, which is pretty simple. On my portfolio, which has grown over $900k in a little over a year, my adviser chooses entry and exit orders

no rent no mortgage totally off the grid great investment of time and money 🎉
What an inspiration to all young people.
If you get of ya arse and work instead of sitting around waiting for life to come to you.
Just exactly what you can achieve.
Fantastic well done. 👍👍
Hope you’re doing the same and not just talking
@@yuriyzenda5857build cost is 350k works out to 233 per sq ft.
@@yuriyzenda5857if designed properly, can be dove at 125 to 150k per sq ft.
AMAZING❗️❗️❗️💜 I LOVE this complete project that turned in to one of the most BEAUTIFUL Container homes I’ve ever seen💯💜
In Europe It would be illegal to live there or rent since stupid milions of restrictions :|
Fully agree
🥱😴
This is one of the most fabulous places I've ever seen!
It looks much better than regular house. Just gorgeous❤
Really bums me out that people like him do all this just for an income property. If you aren’t building all that for yourself in the wilderness don’t build it. Leave the land alone if you just want to make money off it.
How about you let him do what he wants with his land?
@@wykydytron “His land” lol capitalism fucking sucks
Market behavior can be complex and unpredictable. Mind if I ask you to recommend this particular coach to whom you have used their services?
'Grace Adams Cook' , is her name. She is regarded as a genius in her area and works for Empower Financial Services. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.
Thank you for the lead. I searched her up, and I have sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon.
Blown away. So impressive, wish I had the foresight to do something like this when I was his age.
Amazing work he’s done and what a beautiful place to have some peace and quiet 🤫 ❤
I love this house !! I want to build one just like it!! I cant wait to book it to see how beautiful it is in person.
as someone who LIVES in Washington up in the mountains... boy. Thats going to be "fun!" when the moss takes over... and then there is how many times he's going to biff it crashing down off that deck in winter. maintaining it is going to be tough.
This is why we should be learning building and inherent creative and mechanical skills in our youth.
The property is beautiful!
What a beautiful project, a great, elegant and functional place, and the owner is a man with the vision, so all congrats to him on the amazing house and greatly finished interior and exterior of the house.
I’m an engineer and I knew off the back 20 seconds in he was too. 😂😂. I’m now encouraged to do this
