I highly recommend Victorious by Skillet because Chester's passing was a motivation for writing the song. Try to find John talking about the song live because he goes into more detail, and it's an awesome powerful song

I saw them play feel invincible in concert. There had a guy in a hood on the main stage, a guy on a separate center stage, both singing the first lines from the song. Then when the main part of the song came in John Cooper bungee jumped from the top of a screen and got pulled up when he said shot like a rocket.

Hey Alex. Thank you for another enjoyable reaction. I have been a subscriber for a while now and honestly can say that I have never come across any of your videos that I didnt enjoy.
I think it is so amazing that are taking a liking to Skillet. The first of their performances I ever experienced was a song called "Sick of It". After that one performance I was hooked for life. This happened when I was pretty much at rock bottom due to my aclohol addiction. I was actually registered to check in to a year long rehab facility when I discovered Skillet. I was having a lot of anxiety about going into this rehab program and having to leave my family behind. There were many forces at work that helped me to actually check-in to the program and to also stick with it for the full year. Music has always been a huge part of my life. Once I started listening to Skillet I loved them so much that I couldn't stop. Everytime I would listen to them I would feel a peace come over me and any anxiety I was feeling was gone. Yes, Skillet is a Christan Rock / Metal band, but the way they compose most of their songs, anyone, Christian or not, can fing a song or ten that they enjoy listening to. I believe that most, if not all, of their songs contain lyrics that praise God and talk about how with God's love on your side that you can overcome literally anything and Rise Up to become the person that he created you to be.
Anyway, I'll step down from my soap box now by saying that I firmly believe that, in part, the music of Skillet is one of the reasons that I am still here today! I have included below a link to Skillet's performace of "Sick of It". I would love to see you do a reaction to this video and also to hear your thoughts after it is done.

My „rock and metal - journey“ started with Skillet in 2014 and I´m sooooo thankful. Jen inspired me playing the drums as a girl. Music motivates me and makes me smile. Skillet holds a huge place in my heart, even if I´m not a Christian.

I swear skillet gives me a whole new energy level that I never knew I had. The music literally takes me over and I can't help but get into it and jump around sing along and just god would I love to be there.

If you'd like to hear their evolution, check out "I Can" (1996), "Locked in a Cage" (1998), "Best Kept Secret" (2000), "Kill Me, Heal Me" (2001), and "Forsaken" (2003). In all of these John and Kory (joined Skillet in 2000), are the only members still in the band. Any female vocals are Kory.
They have great songs from all albums. Sometimes once bands get bigger their older albums get forgotten. One of my favorite songs is Saturn off the first album too.
Yes they do. I just listed one song per album until they got to the sound they have now. "Saturn" was the first Skillet song I ever heard. I've been listening to them since the first album came out in 96.
