Save Me holds a VERY special place for me too, I'm sorry for whatever you were going thru and I pray that your thru it and everything is better now God Bless!
All Great Songs But I didn't put Save me on the list because it's more than a song for me and I believe thru your dark time it helped you heal, Save Me came out while I was Going thru My Divorce and it's more than a song it's an Athem. Lucy holds that place at 1 for me because it's about losing that someone close and when My Divorce was finalized my Ex took The Daughter that I raised from 6 months to 12 years away from me, I'm Unable to see or speak to her and because she isn't my Blood I have zero rights to see her. Lucy will forever be that song that's my Favorite but have yet to make it all the way thru the song since my Divorce. My situation is forever in God's hands concerning Brianna but when you say Dark time I Completely Understand!

Its cool you are doing more Skillet they are one of my favorite Bands. I actually met them one time too at a concert at USF in Tampa, I got to talk to the lead singer and others and get stuff singed. They really are cool and are as guinine about their Faith and Music that the show to the world.

I love the fact about Skillet that every album is different, so there is no boredom. They aren't afraid to experiment and that's awesome. I'm hyped af to listen to the new album, especially because it seems that they are leaning a bit towards metalcore in terms of riffs and heavyness. I'm dreaming about hearing typical screaming vocals in their songs one day but that probably won't happen. Anyways, I have a feeling this album will be a total fire. Can't wait to listen to this.
Have you heard fight the fury it’s skillets lead singer John cooper and guitarist Seth Morrison and they are more metal John screams and has more harsh vocals and the guitar riffs are harder if you want to check them out

Love Skillet and I'm 58. My 25 yr old daughter who does some modeling and acting in LA responded to an open casting call for this video and was cast for it!! I was SO EXCITED. More than she was!! ha! You barely see her (she's one of the steampunk characters...the one w a bandana on her face) but what a great gig! She had to tell them her mom was a huge fan. LOL!!

The thing I love about their first songs off their albums is they absolutely go off the rails in a damn great way. Just go berserk and unhinged especially with their instruments. it's absolutely amazing!

1. the lyrics are good and easy to learn 2. the combination of a male and female singer is ridiculously awesome

Dude why haven't you done more Shinedown? Brent Smith literally has the best voice in rock. And you have yet to delve deep into some of their songs that really showcase it. Such as Crow and the Butterfly, Second Chance, Burning Bright, Cut the Cord, I Dare You, and Fly From the Inside. Or if you want a Southern Rock or Country vibe, give State of My Head a listen. Definitely has Skynyrd vibes.

John Cooper on the meaning of skillets new song ‘Surviving the Game’ a defiant song about not giving into the fear that the world is and has been experiencing. This song brings a feeling of survival. You have to do what you need to do in order to get your life back. A defiance against fear and the things that hold you down. For so many that’s depression, isolation, loneliness, suicidal thoughts, etc. this song is about becoming the person you’re meant to be and coming out on the other side of all the madness.
This whole entire cd rocks big time plus it's Epic too.
The best song to add to your Playlist would be skillet "legendary" best for gym work out.

I loved that video when you realized Jen was both the drummer and the singer. If you really like her voice, you should react to her solo songs, like Warrior or Not Dead Yet. She released a solo album in 2018, and a few EPs in 2019 and 2020. I love pretty much all her songs.

It has been stated a few times, you have to listen to Ledger and Fight the Fury, I will repeat it as well ... Not Dead Yet and My Demons respectively are good place to start.
But you absolutely must listen to Victorious ... you must, and when you do you will be ashamed that you haven't listened to it yet.
Victorious was inspired by the death of Chester Bennington from Linkin Park and so think Chester inspired Skillet music ... cannot miss!!!
