......it’s a gospel song......they just allow everyone to make their interpretations, but it’s mainly written to be a gospel song.
I wouldn't say The Resistance is heavy metal. It is a excellent rock song though.
It’s definitely Christian music, it’s just not “traditional” Christian music. Instead of writing songs about God directly, Skillet writes most of their songs from the POV of a Christian, basically songs about the life and struggles of a Christian. But with that type of writing it definitely can be interpreted in a different way
I wish the whole fucking world could listen to this absolute legendary GEM of a song, this is definitely the most underrated song of the entire human civilization
Loving this reaction! Check out "Hero", "Monster", "Comatose" and "Awake and Alive" by Skillet. Also another band to check out is Red. They are a Christian Rock band like Skillet. Some of Red's best work "Let Go", "Feed The Machine", "Breathe into Me", "Sever", "Already Over" just to name a few.

I love the distorted yells from John that add so much flair to it and then Seth on the guitar shredding and Jen bringing the thunder on the drums is what makes this song absolutely ELECTRIC especially when they play it live.

Skillet is a Christian Rock Band the members are John Cooper/lead singer/bassist, Korey Cooper John's Wife/keyboards/background vocals/rythum guitarist, Seth Morrison/lead guitarist, Jen Ledger/drummer/background vocals. Seth Morrison joined on there album Rise, before Seth joined they had another lead guitarist named Ben Kasica that played till Rise, Jen Ledger joined on there album Awake, before it was another drummer named Lori Peters she played till Awake she also helped Jen Ledger out with drumming, Korey did all of the background vocals on there old stuff till Awake then Jen does the background vocals on there new stuff and when they play live Korey and Jen both do background vocals
This is the second reaction I’ve seen you do for Skillet I think. And your dancing was right on point… lol. They hit ya right in the feels with their stuff. Great way to get pumped up!

Corey is a great producer... Amazing how she comes up with the ideas and Jen is a legend on the drums with the back up vocals. The whole group together is filled with talent. Like they made the glass jar of talent stretch because all the talent just couldn't fit inside it. Yes ik glass don't stretch which was why I chose glass. Man I'm not smart😂

Skillet is a Christian Rock Band they had different members, the current lineup is John Cooper Lead Singer/Bassist, Korey Cooper Keyboards/Rythum Guitar/Background Vocals, John Cooper's wife, Seth Morrison Lead Guitarist, and Jen Ledger Drummer/Background Vocals, before Seth Morrison was Lead Guitarist Ben Kasica that left after the Awake album, and Lori Peters Drummer she left before the Awake Album she taught Jen Ledger

Skillet - Legendary
Skillet is amazing. They have so many good songs and they can surprise you at timed to. You will hear a lot like this. But they have quite a few slower songs too. But pretty much every song will always have a positive message. If you want to hear something similar from them I'd suggest Not Gonna Die or Feel Invincible. For slower I would suggest Terrify the Dark or Reach(falling deep mix) since it's the version with Jen the drummer singing. Or for a kind of in between of harder and softer stuff I'd suggest Salvation. It is the only song from Skillet where Jen is given the lead singing role.
Check out the title track off their newest album Victorious. Great message and killer song.
I've noticed in watching your videos that you enjoy drums/drum solos. React to Godsmack duel drum battle. It is badass. Drums and show at its best.

Also, please check out Muse. I recommend Plug in Baby, Hysteria, Thought Contagion, and/or Knights of Cydonia as some of my favorites. Honestly, there very few Muse songs that are not good, so picking any song of theirs to react to is probably going to be a positive experience.

Also on a more personal or bias suggestion. I would suggest checking out the drummer Jen Ledger's side band LEDGER. Any of her songs with them really. In my eyes all of them are great. But her 2 biggest songs are Not Dead Yet and My Arms. She has a pop/rock sound at times. But I am bias because her music with LEDGER really helped me from a dark time in my life a few months ago. Her music saved me from doing something stupid and saved me by helping me reconnect to my faith. So needless to say I am a slightly bigger fan of LEDGER's over Skillet but not by much.
