Trout Spey Intruder - Thin Mint Variation - Duranglers Flies and Supplies

- Rob, Duranglers shop manager, takes us through the steps to tie an intruder scaled down to swing for trout. Tied in a spicey thin mint variation, this is a great fly to swing for trout on a single or two-handed trout spey rod in larger, faster water. Scale down the lead eyes to a smaller size or even bead chain for smaller, slower, or shallower running water.

Sometimes on intruders the cut shank can be sharp and wear out the intruder wire so I typically take a little file to it. Love this version I’m going to tie some up!
Good call thanks for the tip! let us know how they fish for you!
it's impossible to watch with that bobbin sound
Sorry homie.
Oil that bobbin up !
no joke, fresh out of the package.
