This size range works good for us on the Madison , Missouri, Jefferson for the big browns . You may not get many but the ones you do get are worth the casts .
These are awesome been using them for Georgia trout. Had a question. What is the purpose of the 2-3 twists in the dubbing loop before putting in the material, I tried doing it but the twists run down the loop while I’m putting in the material. I’m sure I’m doing it wrong but wanted to know what purpose they serve. Thanks.
Love the concept of the mini intruders, but a little confused... are you fishing these for trout? Steelhead? .... or both? One more than the other? Otherwise, this is a nice easy tie that I'm sure I'll be making a few of... also, what other color combinations do you tie this in or recommend?
We are fishing these primarily for Steelhead, they are a bit large for most trout fishing. Other classic color combinations would be black and blue, black and orange, pink, among others. Have fun tying! These flies are a lot of fun to create!
@@justinmikkola3309 This fly has a sz 6 hook so really is a good bug for trout fishing , anywhere you would use a sz 4 standard streamer this should be a good call. Hope that helps.
