Hey lovelies, FAQ's below!: 1) These lasted me three weeks before I took them off, they didn't fall off, they didn't chip at all. 2) The use of the base coat didn't help with longevity, but I feel safer using a base coat as it's healthier. 3) I can't do any more gel nail videos at the moment as I've had an overexposure reaction so I'm giving my nails a break! (Not a fault of this product at all, fault of my nails haha) Thanks for the 15k views!
But people get fill ins and leave it on CONSTANTLY and don’t get that, is that something only a few people get or does everyone have to take it off? I don’t want to go without lol
@@amber_Forever16 Some people are very lucky and never have issues, but it’s an overexposure reaction, so it could all of a sudden happen, it could happen gradually or not at all. Unfortunately there’s not a lot of tell tale signs until you have it.
That’s called onycholysis and it can happen with absolutely any gel nail products. I had it myself, and honestly half of it is down to people not being careful with uncured gel. If you do nails at home you have to make sure that no uncured gel touches your skin, and make sure it’s throughly cured with a UV lamp. That way you’re less likely to develop a reaction.
Did this last night with full cover tips and I’m soooo happy with the results and they seem sturdy. I dragged the gel out underneath to the free edge before curing and it gave it extra strength(you attach the FCT or press on with the builder gel)
Love your voice and I love this builder gel too! I actually did mine without the tips and my natural nails are short like yours. Great video, you got a new subscriber.

omg you seem so sweet 🥺 I've been messing around with polygel (and failing, mostly lol) the last 2 months or so, but im definitely going to pick this up from amazon !! ty for sharing 🙂🥰
Omg me too! Polygel is just not working for me! Builder gel looks fail-proof! I got tired of nail salons charging me $240 for my gel nails and toes that only last me two weeks before the time start popping off and they keep filing my natural nail down so thin.
Girl you got talent!! I’m a small nail UA-camr too I’mma subscribe to show support we gotta stick together! 😍 your personality is so cute i love these nails you did! Thanks for the tips girl!
Thanks Clare! I've had to have another file to get the right shape but I'm so happy with them for my first set! They're so easy I'd deffo recommend them! 💕
Make sure you buff your natural nail so its smooth and then I think your layers were probably too thick, make them super thin, a little goes a long way! Good luck ☆
Also, it might help to do the thin layer, then hold your nail upside down for a couple of seconds and let gravity do its thing, try those tips first and see how you get on ☆
Some is file off and some is soak off, so this one you can soak off in gel polish remover or acetone. File off the very top layer to make it not shiny and the put acetone on a cotton pad and pop that on your nail. Hold it there with tin foil for around 10 mins and it will peel straight off.
I'm so glad you uploaded this video, I'd heard about builder gel but I didn't know how to use it or what it was for! Can't wait to see you finish those nails with some colour! Eyeshadow looks gorgeous too! 💅🏼💖✨

On one hand to see if it made any difference to longevity. I dont think it did to be honest but better to be safe than sorry and always use a base coat
Hi, it's the bellanails lamp on amazon, it's only 11 watt I believe and it's around £15. I've never had an issue with curing though so well worth the money in my opinion ☺

Ah no! Don't do that, if they're not curing after 30 secs to 1min max depending on the brand then your lamp is not high wattage enough or you've got dodgy gel. Also, are you sure they're tacky and it's not just the wipe off top coat residue? What brand is your lamp and gel? Please dont expose yourself to that amount of UV, you can end up with oncholysis ☆
Gel always has a tacky layer that needs to be removed with gel residue remover or 91% isopropyl alcohol and gel requires a minimum 36 watt UV/LED lamp also make sure your gel is compatible as not all gel works with LED the tacky layer helps gel stick to the previous layer
