    The bitter vegetable is called
    “ampalaya.” In English, it is called bitter melon. It is good for people who have diabetes.

      @@ValentinaLovingPhilippines it's okay, the kids in the province love to climb all the trees and seek adventure in nature, like we also do before when we are still kids in the province. It's great to grow up in the province with nature btw 😉

    Your children seems like authentic Filipino children. We used to play climbing on coconut tree in the province during childhood.

    It’s young sugarcane, it’s not sweet cause it hasn’t had time to develop the sugar content

    Haha...thats not sugarcane! I think thats weeds! Sugarcane is a bit big and you need a bolo to cut it. 😅

    • @ValentinaLovingPhilippines
      @ValentinaLovingPhilippines  2 місяці тому

      yes i also think so)) but kids love playing like it's sugarcane, hahahah

    • @eli.capinbxu
      @eli.capinbxu 2 місяці тому

      Yes, I agree, Valentina, it is not a sugar cane. A sugar cane has dark purple skin with long sword-like leaf. The one that your kids tasted is a wild kind of sugar cane. In Samal and in the area, we call it "bugang" in Bisaya language.
