51:00 The main reason we love the Philippines is....
The reason we don't eat salad all the time is because MOST, not all, our dishes already has vegetables in it. We are a vegetable eating people. Just like most Asian dishes like Thai and Vietnamese dishes there is plenty of fresh leafy vegetables so there's no need to eat salad on the side. U.S. and European countries eat a lot of meat and potatoes, and salad is eaten separately because they don't normally incorporate vegetables in their dishes. Our food is all in one, everything included in it 😅
Valentina you look more prettier now, same with your two boys and your hubby becoming more funnier and happier.
😮 WOW Amazing. I think every Country has different cultures, as long we respect each other and be honest to one another, humility, ♥️🏝️ 🇷🇺🇵🇭🌹☮️😮 Thank you for sharing your story.
Filipino food are designed for our climate, which is hot and humid and for farming. Our food and beverages are extra salty and sweet to replenish your body after a sweaty day of works and daily activities. Rice and other carbohydrates food in the Philippines like cassava, banana, corn and sweet potatoes can last 4 hrs of heavy works, not like bread or oatmeal only last from 2 to 3hrs and you’ll hungry. In the Philippines, even if you’re only setting without work you’re still sweating and burning your food inside your body. That’s why you need hard carbo food. And rice is one of the staple food in our country again, because of our climate which is good for rice planting. Beef, Lamb, dairy products mostly, we are not use to it in daily basis except for milk because of our weather which is hot and humid, you’re prone to high blood pressure. Fatty dairy products are mostly good for cold climate to burn fats. Almost all, because of our climate, even our flip flaps (Chenilas) are designed for our climate. Even our natural skin color (Kayumanggi) are designed by our climate. Except for our height and nose😅. Who’s with me? Comment below 👇😄
Wow, interesting observations, thanks 🙏
Hi sergie, I’m one of your followers, I want to share with you the history between Filipino people tied with the Russian during hollucaust, and how the Filipino sheltered the Russian in our country in ww 2
When we were still young our elders and parents already teach us how to respect and be hospitable to other people., we always say hello with a smile to the people we meet as a sign of welcome,. We also ask them to come and offer a free food and accomodation if they are far away, we always do helping people we call it BAYANIHAN in terms of need😊❤
Good rules 👍
I like this kind of upfront no reservation and pure honesty way of discussion from a Russian people point of view.
I'm learning a lot from this.❤❤❤
Thank you 🙏
Yes it's true that most Filipinos eat rice 3X a day but those native ( KATUTUBO)Filipinos who lived in the mountains eat sweet potatoes, boiled bananas & casava. They eat mostly vegetables because they can't afford to buy rice, meat & fish.
Filipinos are never late, only after 1 hour. 😄
In mostly rural areas Filipino families have more children than those in urban areas. This is not only because couples spend more romantic time together but also they can have more family members to tend to farm duties.
Russia is the largest country in the world to have so much area to be utilized. In the Philippines, the growing population and limited land area, every space is maximized.
Filipinos expect everyone to be smiling and charming! 😉😉😉
We pilipino is workaholic too...if they have a chance.i work 2nights & one day just to earn more money without sleeping.
we eat rice daily because we have abundant available rice in our country and to our neighboring countries❤
Extra food spicies and beverages like tea, makes our body stinks because we are sweating a lot. Basic and simple is enough, like garlic, onion, black paper, chili, ginger, lemon grass, bay leaves and tomato. We use lots of vinegar and calamansi (lime) to neutralized fatty foods. Pickled food, very seldom, we are not use to it, because of our hot and humid weather it easily spoils stored foods, since we don’t have cold snowy weather to store and preserve. Except atsara (pickled papaya or carrots), we do most with salt and sugar preservation of food, like shrimp paste, fish sauce (bagoong), smoke meat and dry foods.
Rice is life ..lol when you know how to grow or rice planting you’ll probably appreciate more Why Rice is like gold every piece of rice is so precious that even old this you can’t waste it or drop 1 cooked rice on the table or floor coz the process of growing it is tough and hard labor.
Wow, I loved & enjoyed your vlog. It's wonderful , honest & full of humility. Mabuhay & thanks from Manila. Brilliant vlog. Hug & kisses to your kids. (ingat) or careful.
Thank you very much 🙏🙏🙏
Because of the hardship in the FAMILY, Government IMPLEMENTED this FAMILY PLANNING but No Law for this 1 or 2 child policy. You can have more child if you can afford to give basic needs for them.
Don't expect Filipinos to keep their promise whether it's about time or anything else. They owe it from the politicians: who never keep their promises during election.
It's my first time here. Thank you for this comparison. I agree with you about the food bcoz of the weather. Our food taste light bcoz of our weather. The spices gives warm inside your body especially if your country is always at cold season. Wine also feels your body warm. You need more spices and wine❤. Yeah we are Catholic and Russia an Orthodox. You doctrine is different while Ph believe in Holy Trinity The Father The Son And The Holy Spirit is One. Enjoy staying in Ph. GOD BLESS.
Thank you
We are happy you are enjoying your stay.
good video (thumbs up)
VERY DELIGHTFUL CONTENT
Thank you!
Very nice idol our sir welcome here my beautiful country Philippines 🇵🇭 and beautiful people very hopt........
Thank you
Omg! You guys are funny I like it when Valentina said Filipinos eat noodles with rice..😅 you’re right we use to do that when we’re a kid eating pancit canton with rice.. 😅 I’m hooked with your videos now.
Pancit bihon, pancit canton, lomi,
Sotanghon are noodle dishes that can be eaten as viand for lunch or dinner paired with rice.😊
It can also be served as merienda food paired with toast bread.
This is fun! 😂😂❤❤❤❤ just subscribed!
Welcome my new friend 👍
We eat salad but the simple one. We call it "Insalada" especially if our dish is fried like fried fish, fried chicken and BBQ. Our main dish or main course is always put veges. So no need salad. We call this One Dish Meal bcoz there is meat, veges and soup. Like Nilaga, Sinigang, Bulalo, dish with sauce we always put potato carrots, banana, green peas, corn etc.
Thank you for explaining
OMG sergei is meant for Social media very energetic full of content ideas... keep it up Sergei!
Thank you very much 🙏🙏
Watching i like russia and philipines 😊
ginger tea is called "salabat" in Tagalog...fresh ginger is boiled and the liquid is drunk and you can boil it again for 2nd and 3rd time or you can opt for powdered one at supermarket.
Thank you
I love your background so beautiful
What is common in all races is family oriented the importance of family..whats important is we all LIVING the LiFE in our own liking..life is so short
Rice is a staple food of SOUTHEAST ASIAN COUNTRIES,so not only the Philippine.
Valentina you look stunning! Love the new hair!❤
Good observations on cultural differences....most are economic and weather related as well.
Thank you. Yes it seems that all differences have a objective reasons
i put rice that was cooked several hours ago in the boiling freshly cooked ramen! the best! absolutely the best!
I like ramen
Nice comparison for information purposes and exchange of cultures and values 😊
🙏
True what you say bout russians like most EU countries..the weather is cold most times and people are cold..when there is sun a bit cafe shops/ restos bring out their tables with umbrellas like fiesta going on but still no community togetherness..reason why filipinos have get together of parties for bdays or whatever groups they belong they got parties and all is invited.
Yes in summer Russians more warmer 🤣
If you want a suggestion for salad, try Philippine chicken macaroni salad. Easy to make. Combine cooked macaroni pasta, mayonnaise, bits of cooked chicken, pineapple bits, peas and cheese cubes.
hello to both of you, nice vedio watching from Baguio City, Philippines
Thank you !! I’m going to visit Baguio in August
I love watching your videos ❤
Thank you!🙏
I been so many countries the best beer for me is San Miguel Pale Pelsin in the Philippines
Try grilled eggplant salad with tomatoes, onions, chilies with dressing made of kalamansi juice with a dash of fish sauce. You can add salted eggs too!
Agree, this is a great salad!
Wow, sounds delicious
I like this content ❤ very informative 😊
Thank you 🙏
@@FriendlySergei your welcome 😊❤
We have ginger powdered used as tea then add calamansi
Pancit Canton at kanina.lami kaayo Lalo na pag hot spicy Canton.
Here's my take on differences between Russia and Philippines. You can expound on these.
1. Cultural and Traditional
2. Racial.
3. Religion Orthodoxy vs. western Christianity
4. Geography....Eastern Europe vs. Asia Pacific Islanders
5 Government.... Communism vs Democracy.
6. Economy.
8. Politically.... Putin controlled system without freedom of expression
9. Chronyism in Russia,
10. Corruption excessive in Russian public offices
11. Human rights is a nightmare in Russia.
12. Etc. etc. etc.
Russia is not a Communist country. That was the Soviet Union for which Russia was part of, and the prime country. The Soviet Union fell in the late 80s.
The way Putin is ruling Russia and the way a lot of Russians think and being controlled and brainwashed is a communist system.. it’s just a matter of how their government is being called right now..we are not blind and deaf on what is going on in your country.. we don’t hate the individual Russians.. but we can be cautious on how Russians act in our country just because a lot of Russians still blindly follow their leader without using their own conscience..
Yes asian people grow is eating rice, it's the staple food in asia especially, since it grows everywhere in asia and more economic for countries to feed over populated people, even India and Africa they eat rice as well... Yes you should try filipino salad like Ensalada salad, look for it I youtube for the recipe, Ensalada salad, kangkong salad, cucumber salad, even seaweed like lato or guso salad, those resembles with Kinilaw but seaweed instead of fish.. you can even make a pork kinilaw instead of tuna..we grill the pork meat and slice it into cubes and prepare it as kinilaw ..same ingredients. You can also try ampalaya salad...
Thank you!
best ginger for cold or sickness are the red ginger which we also put together with honey and calamansi, i agree with beer, cheese for most of those are imported to the Philippines unlike on your country it's abundant.
Here in Philippines I think just only 3 children so you can give good education for the future
wish i meet a Russian guy who are serious in relationship in future but i dink know how to find them 😮. I’ve been working in Dubai here in 10 yrs and never have a date after my bad experience in 10 yrs i never find any more. Enjoy your stay in Philippines guys. i watch you 8 months already. I am from Philippines but i work here in Dubai until now.
Thank you 🙏
Rice is our staple food here in the Philippines, but we also have potato and some root crops as a substitute. Your food is very different to us because of the climate and plants grow in cold climate is rarely seen in the Philippines but it doesn't matter because we are happy people even happier than Russians do you agree!?😆
Agree!
noodles and rice started out of necessity coz it is cheap than buying ulam(meat) we pair it with rice it is a hit amongst students and low income families because of it’s affordability.
It is a very stressfull life if you're constantly thinking about those things when you're in Russia. We pretty much have the same amount of difficulties in life in the Philippines, of course not exactly what you have in Russia, but we manage to not take it too seriously and get too stressed about it hahaha.😅
❤❤❤❤😊😊😊
Camote tops salad same timpla sa kinilaw but you need to blanch first the camote tops before timpla then instead of salt we used a little ginamos para mas masarap at of course with rice pa din.
There are lots of differences between Russia and the Philippines: weather, beauty, economy, military power, etc.
try fruit salad and vegetable salad.
Valentina, the braid suits you. I like it on you.
Philippines have many superstitions also...but like Russians now only old people still believe in superstitions young people do not believe in these anymore.....also many Pilipinos both young n old still believe in the supernatural like ghost (multo) aswang (vampire), dwende (knomes) kapre(giant, hairy creature that livies on trees) , tikbalang (half man half horse) n many more scary creatures of the night..
Hello my Friend🙋😂😂😂😆😆🤣🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏👏👏👍👍
Heloooo!!! 😉
Filipino's loved to eat rice coz it's carbs so we need more energy for the whole day Filipino is very hard working people, specially if you work as ah blue collar job and also our tropical weather here is hot compare to Europe, the more you consume your energy for the whole day the more they eat rice, but it depends on them. specially our food is so tasty and delicious much better with rice. but there are some not to much rice it depends on them. like in Europe and western country you like more potato. but in every part of the country now since our food is already introduce in some part of the country specially if they married to a Filipino and they already taste our food. some foreigner now loved to eat rice now. We have different superstisious belief here also in every part of the Philippines in every provinces they have their own. but I don't believe in that.
Wow, That temperature of -42 is too much. in the Philippines, in Baguio City we only experience +6degrees only the coldest
At -40 all schools usually closed. But I remember how we played football outdoor with friends at this temperature 🤣🤣 crazy Russians
In Philippines not many sidewalks because houses occupy them, the land so small unlike in the largest country in the world with populations almost same as Philippines 😊
Some filipinos eat noodles with rice coz they treat the noodles as a viand (or "ulam" in filipino). And they do that coz instant noodles are cheap, less than P 10. Compared to a viand like u eat in the carinderia which will cost from P 20 to P 50
Very informative video. Rice is our main sources of food as Filipinos coz its the only kind of grains that can grow whole year here and even our nearby countries. We have a salad dishes also and pickled vegetables and fruits but not maybe as like eu countries, the reason maybe you have lots pickled it just because you have a winter season its your way to preserve and do some more stocks food for the winter. Our resources can fit only due to our climate, when it comes to what plants can grow, and food we produce, even the attitude or modes of Filipinos 😅. We are tropical countries no winter season coz we are archipelago sorrounded by waters, not like as yours surrounded by huge lands.
Thank you 🙏
Sergei... I am Filipino, but even I get annoyed with Filipino time! LOL When someone says they're going to meet me at 7 o'clock, I expect them to be there at 7 oclock ! They call that Filipino Savings Time... When they tell you that they'll show up at 7, they will show up at 8 or 9 oclock.... So if you want them to arrive at 7 , tell them to come a 5... so they will be there at 7 !
Wow! Good idea 🤣🤣
❤️🤗🥰
Another belief, Philippines
1.Every New Years Eve, 12 midnight
Our father tells us to do “jumping” so we will be taller.
Interesting 👍👍
True spaghetti & rice
For us it’s very unusual, because usually we eat both as side dish for meat, fish or vegetables. So they play the same role. That’s why it is unusual for us to mix it in one meal.
Cool🎉
I like your laugh! You laugh like a Filipino now 😅😂🤣
Ahahahhaa😂😂thank you 🤣🤣
@@FriendlySergeisuch contagious laugh 🤣
Filipinos love to whistle.
We have trains but I think in Luzon. Trains are not popular in Philippines because it has too many islands . Russia is a very big country so they can travel by trains for long distances.
Hello ❤
Kindly promote your wife's channel always the way she promotes yours always. Its better that way so that your both channel grows more . Your content are both nice. God bless. 🙏❤️

👍👍👍🤣🤣🤣🤣
It’s crazy to compare Russia and the Philippines
U r a Negative thinker .😂
privet bratan
Привет! Ты кто? 🙂
Привет Валентина
Привет!
nice to know about how russians have many beers and wines. and how many cheese. and salads. pickles. and beef and lamb. i mean, i loved how you talked about russian food and other russian stuff. good to know russian culture. this is very rare knowledge. philippines only knows, america, japan, europe. mostly from movies. stereotypes. but not reality. its nice to know about real culture about other coutries. especially russia. filipinos really really don't know about russia. what we know about russia is only from movies. especially action movies. and funny because russians always portrayed as the bad guys. hehehe. if not, a good muscular side character good guy. who always drink vodka. hehehe. also i like you talked about your geography, climate, russian economics and infrastructure. i watched the whole video. hehehe
Thank you very much! I am glad you like it
❤❤❤😊👍👍👍🇵🇭
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
We have many Filipino salad ask the Filipino chef, and go to baguio salads every where 😂
I’m going to Baguio in August
Chiropractic for muscular or bone dissorders..yan ang sinasabi nyo na masahe in russia. It is a Doctor who especialized chirro
Please be considerate guys, I respect your opinion but don’t get me wrong. If you guys noticed majority of the Filipino people living in the poor conditions. If you live in a lower class families you noticed that noodles and rice, canned sardines with rice dried fish with rice. That’s the only way for majority of us to survive everyday struggles a very cheap food. That’s why the rice is so important for us rice is life ,, like you guys you always looking for potatoes and bread. Potatoes for us is just only ingredients for some dishes
Bread for us is just only a morning snack or afternoon snack.
lamb is not a staple meat in the phil. maybe because lamb are not native to tropical country.
Yes I think so
so your rice version in russia is bread i think not only in russia but all in Europe and the reason why rice is our main food because it is easy to store cook cheap and last longer unlike bread because its hot in the Philippines it can easily rotten unless you have a special storage or a cold room
Yes, agree. Also I think because it’s difficult to grow wheat in your climate and for us not possible to grow rice
superstitions are funny! we have wakwaks in the Philippines "flying witch" Don't you miss all the cheese and breads?
Yes I miss bread and cheese sometimes. Just imagine if you come to the country with no rice 🤣🤣
I'm a Filipino who drinks vodka often. But I live in the US though
I don’t like vodka 😂 how you drink it??
@@FriendlySergei With cranberry juice
With juice is ok 👌
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😅
The bread sounds interesting! What do you use? wheat? What grain?
Yes wheat and rye bread
I think you mentioned more than 10 differences Sergei.
Yes, went a bit overboard, sorry for that 🤣
🍺!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Yes, Valentina is right. we eat rice with noodles...heeee.. I don't know why. both fattening..
So funny hahaha... 🤣 but we learn from each other's differences 😍 Russia is a very beautiful country ❤ Fortunate that I had a chance to visit Moscow, Saint Petersburg & Murmansk in 2018 🥰
What did you do there? Just a tourism?
@@FriendlySergei Yes, I joined a travel tour to Russia 🥰
What do you remember most?
@@FriendlySergeihow can I forget strolling around the beautiful city of Moscow particularly in the Red Square. In Saint Petersburg my favorite was visiting the Hermitage and Saint Isaac's Cathedral. But the most that I will remember was our trip to Murmansk because it was an adventure (dog sledding, chasing the northern lights, saw & feed a real reindeer (haha) in a reindeer farm and most especially dancing & singing with the beautiful Russian people (we stayed in Teriberka in Murmansk)❤️
@@FriendlySergei And to add ... was able to experience and see the beautiful underground subway of Moscow ❤️
Philippines do have смекалка.
more relax no money 😂😂😂
😅
bring some rusian vodka here,😊let's sunog baga taste its😂
No problem having many kuds in phil because of our weather.in phil is a tropical country you can plant rice ,vegetables and fruits to feed their children the whole year.. in russia you cannot plant because of very cold weather and snow ..all plants and trees is dead when there is snow..thars why vegetables and fruits in russia is very expensive because it is imported in other countries..
Yes we have own fruits only in summer and autumn. And some local fruits like apples possible to store whole winter as well
