I have heard Lemon Grass is a Snake deterrent. Tanglad-Lemon Grass could be of great help if you could plant it around your house.. the vacant lot next to your house is a breading ground. Ultimately it will change the moment it can be occupied.
If the snake offers you an apple please refuse 😱 nice of the neighbor cat to come over to keep an eye on things..good eating from the garden ! All in all, a lovely life 🙏🏻👍🏻
Mgtanim kayo ng pangontra sa snake o pantaboy sa snake. Like lemon grass (tanglad), herba buena, karabo at dulaw. Damihan niyo para wlang ahas na papasok. Lalo na sa labas ng pader nyo mgtanim kayo ng lemon, karabo, dulaw at herba buena. Dagdagan nyo rin ang pusa niyo.
My sugestión is apply all around of property the snakes repelent is like granulated form you can find on home depot or Lowe’s plus need like 2 more cats they will keep the snakes out of the property
I would put electric fence around the property. The same used for cattle. It can be connected to any metal fence and isolated by hooks to concrete. Unless they can dig under the fence, it will keep them away.
Stay safe..esp when u r harvesting ur veggies.. when the snakes feel cornered and threatened that's when they attack, have some cats roaming around ao as to be awqre of the surroundings..
I would recommend getting a water sprayer and use citrus mixed with a little water and spray your yard regular snakes hate citrus and garlic and will leave! Keep spaying on a reg basis. Hi, snakes don't like mothballs. Spread some around the outer walls of the house, and in the flower gardens and indoor cupboards. That'll keep them away ... Or an axe? Your choice ... Lol
Also Used motor oil can be applied to your fences..snakes also hates the smell of petroleum ..like gasoline, kerosene , used motor oil...plant lemon grass around, they hate that also.
Hey guys, I have the same issue in Thailand. My wife puts a fan on with slightly adjusted blades creating virations, snakes hate them. She buys a powder solution and sprinkles in the garden, it's some anti snake stuff. Planting as others advised is also good. Be careful out there, ever vigilant.
I have seen three in past four years near lapaz, Leyte. One baby all grey, two adults, grey, yellow some black. I think they have den under Old concrete pad
I work at a zoo and have over 4 decades of experience with venomous snakes including cobras and mambas. A samar cobra in my garden would definitely give me pause. We hope everyone stays safe.
Just hsve a local cat (preferably male cat) in your garden. It will take care of all rodents, birds, and snakes. Let the cat live outside the house so that the garden will be its territory. It is what we do and it works.
Lemon Grass, oregano.....etc... screw that! Build a moat, a 20-foot moat completely around the house, then electrify 10kW the soapy, salty water with solar power and battery backup. Finally, on the inner side of the moat build a snake trap (landscape fence and a crab-like trap at the end). Inside the crab-like trap, place a manually operated 20kW electric door- mat. On your person, carry a machete. They get inside septic systems.. think about that for a second or two...
Hahaha and make sure you don't live in Philippine. End of horror stories. Sorry guys. You live in tropical area. You have to accept critters and insects. A lot of critter and insects.
Plants lot of lemon grass around your property it may help the snake to go away. That’s one of the reason my trauma growing in the Philippines. I hate snake before mostly hate it now.
Plant oregano lemon grass malunggay in all over the house the snakes dont like the smell of this plant. Bring more cats in your backyard to protect you from the snakes
I'm lucky we don't have cobras in Roxas City, Capiz. It would be best to go outside your wall and cut down all the plants and trees growing there. This could prevent them from going over the fence into your yard.
They are everywhere my friend and they can get into the smallest spaces. We need to overhaul the garden and outside areas with the neighbors here. I don’t mind regular snakes but Cobras are seriously dangerous. Have a great day guys 😊
Snake often build nest under your wood pile. It is because it provides shade, dark like dents and easy to sneak out at night to hunt for rodents. Be careful when you stand by and cooking, worse case when you just pull out a piece of wood for stove burning a strike will follow. JMHO.
That's pretty scary considering there's no specific AntVenom. In Australia we have dozens of highly venomous snakes such as the tiger snake the king brown and the Taipan but at least we have antivenom for all of them.
Man, that would even scare me as a prior snake owner. Don’t want to sound like a smart ass, but please use a longer broom when checking next time. Strike distance from snakes might surprise you and you don’t want the risk of finding out on the spot. The cats are brave for sure, but also know their reflexes are faster than the snake’s strike. Actually really cool to look up on UA-cam, there are a lot of slowmo’s on cats reflexing on snake strikes. Be safe there🙏🏻
Can also make a catcher using a pipe with a string or wire inside with a loop on one end that tightens when you pull the cable from the other end. It keeps it a safe distance from you as well.
Check google for snake repellent plants. Lemongrass is one of them. Plant them around the perimeter of your garden or house. It may make snakes stay away from your garden/house. Just a suggestion though. 😊
If your land is near a rice field 100% there will be cobras on the households nearby especially if you stockpile of anything where the cobra can hide crevices anything as long as your area is near a rice field. to prevent from attracting cobras in your backyard keep your area neat and clean remove the stockpiles where snakes can hide.

Another thing that you have to be careful not to touch the head of that dead snake especially if it's a Cobra. It can still kill a human being just by touching the fangs that may puncture your fingers. It can still secrete a venom. I've watched a vlog about that. Oh dear 😱.Dahil siguro sa mainit na panahon kaya jan sila nakahanap ng malimliman.Very dangerous 😳😊😊.Be very careful 😮
