I use almost chinese lights and I love them. I saw so many bars, clubs, big events, wehere chinese lights are used and they work perfect, so I can not understand this "hating" video aimed against cheaper chinese lights. Yes, one must be cautios, because on the market re very oft real shits, but there are also lot of very good stuff ;-)
Here's all ya need to know. ADDR stands for DMX address Cha...stands for channel mode, most all led bars can be ran in 4, 8, 12, 16 and usually 24 channel.
I too was very puzzled at the menu that seemed simple but when I went to hit the sound or auto mode the light would not lock in and "ensure" the scene. I tried over and over passing different menu layers but kept getting a C620 or CB20 reading... my preferred look did not want to stay. Then I hit the "menu" and the selected code number "enter" together at the same time and it stopped blinking and the scene stayed. Hallelujah. I hope this helps someone.
Ive got the same or "similar" light and i run it on an auto mode which reacts to sound and it has a "gain" setting which really looked great up against my back wall and banner.
Thanks for the review, brightness is what I was worried about. I understand your frustration with the menu. I use dmx with Lighting Consoles such as Chamsys and Grand MA2 so I look at those channels to determine what type of control I want to have. Typically the more channels the more complexity. So you set it on how many channels you want and then set the dmx address. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
@@zangzang1268take a look back at lighting demos. You need a lot of the same fixture to get an effect. So saving 70% x100 lights makes a difference. It all manufactured there anyway. + the only issue I had lately was with fan quality
@@wisico640 They are great for guys/gals just getting started. I use a couple of the cheap moving heads on a tripod light bar in my front yard for Halloween. They in no way however, compare to the name brands - Chauvet, ADJ, Elation, Martin...
I’ve had good luck buying some of these off brand lights. Granted they are mainly used at my home & very well taken care of. I imagine that being transported & put up/down regularly would wear them out quicker than the name brand stuff. The off brands definitely cut corners in certain areas.
Im curious if the Chinese lights stand the test of time show after show. Thats always been my concern. Also, those menus names are pretty standard even on Chauvet fixtures. I also highly recommend using dmx. You can take it another step further and add midi program changes with my dmx 3.0 or other similar products. Its game changing and truly a pro setup when you can control exactly what your lights are doing rather than hoping they look cool.
I'm a bit late on this reply but having now used this light for a bit now, I can say that I don't have a lot of confidence in it. I use it only when I know I'm going to set it to one color and leave it. I'll use it in my facade or like a large uplight. I have mydmx go which I personally really love but I have not connected it with this light. Thats awesome you use mydmx as well!
It´s all the same... everything comes from the same producer in China. Look all these PAR or Moving Heads in the Low-Price-Range. They all looking the same and use the same Channels for DMX. The only difference between the Products is that you pay more for "ADJ" (or every other Brand) and get a Sticker on your Device.
Or when a LED dies or something goes wrong good luck talking Mandarin for the warranty repair. ADJ or Chauvet will have English speaking reps here in the states. Also, this was a year ago, with all the shipping BS and economic reset these things will probably start costing the same price. What use to cost a company $2000 to ship from China before the scamdemic now costs $22,000! We’re going to be paying out the rear for the same Asian junk soon.
You also get inventory already in the US, plus a company in the US that will stand by what they sell. And while their stuff may be made in China, it is made to a higher quality control.
The u king version has a remote. We have had no issues with Chinese lights. One of our lasers is Chinese, bought it 2018 and still going strong
I have lots of great Chinese lights.

Most of the popular name brands are internally just a bunch of Chinese parts
Any DMX stage light will come to life... you guessed it... with a good dmx controller 😂
You're missing a big part of the picture there 😮
Am I understanding that your beef with these lights is you won't read the manual?
Here's someone walking through the settings of a similar light in detail. ua-cam.com/video/ff7uRjebO0w/v-deo.html
If you don't know how to read a DMX table then you shouldn't be charging people for lighting services.
Yep I use off brand. They’ve worked for me in the past. Now I use the Rockville best par60s and they are amazing!
Those Rockville ones aren't cheap but glad to hear you like them, I may have to check those out. Do you DMX your lighting?
Have you tried the Rockwedge lights from Rockville?
Good video bro! Cali stand up !!

So let me get this right. You're using $3-$5K professional lighting consoles with $80 Chinese no-brand lights?
@@zangzang1268 right 😂. Yeah, because that makes sense. Hahaha
@@zangzang1268 You do realize those are also software consoles right?

Yeah I don't know why you don't have it running on some kind of DMX.

Let me know if you have success with that.
Many of those off brand lights come with a remote control which works well.
got one at resale store in great shape for 5 bux . it runs for 8 minutes and starts blinking on and off intermitantly . bug or feature lol .
Hello have found out how to turn off sound. I wanted to link them with DMX but the mic on both turn on and master slave stops working.
