All the PS5 "pro" tells me is to expect the PS6 to be $700, no disc drive or maybe one if you pay more, $75 to $80 games, no BC beyond PS4 & 5 & will showcase remasters of PS4 & the few PS5 games that were not remasters or remakes or cross gen.
it doesn't matter how much PS6 will cost or how powerful it is when Sony has turned Playstation into Gaystation the next 3 years will be make or break for Gaystation
Honestly, - 600$. - PSSR on every model. - More exclusive titles and expiremental/niche games with lower budgets (what i like to call the astro bot strategy.) - Disc drive, with the optional no disc console. - Hall effect joysticks. - Portable version as a mid gen refresh rather than "pro" which is starting to become kind of pointless.
Pssr could also lead to lack of optimization tough, newer pc games only reach good fps with these Technologies and they do add input lag and make the game feel worse. Its really a double edged sword, if it helps improve Performance its fine but if the game studios get the ability to cut costs and spend less time on optimization it could lead to worse feel at the same performance level
Maybe there’s something I’m not seeing but do we really need another generation of consoles? Graphically we are reaching a point of diminishing returns (The Arkham knight on PS4 looks just as good as The suicide squad). After a certain number, the amount of extra polygons or frames added starts to become unnoticeable.
There's certainly an argument to make that we don't. But in the meantime we are going to get them no matter what since Sony and Microsoft want to make them.
I mean, GTA6 doesnt perform great on PS5. If the PS6 can get the framerate from 30 to 60, we'd be close to the peak (next target is probably 4k120, then were done tbh. no more)
It’s also pretty great to have an upscale because now some older titles feel remastered when you play them. They’re still good games on their own so the upscale just makes them enticing to play again
I'm far more critical towards AI upscaling. It's not a fix-all solution by any means and as someone who plays on native 4k at triple digit framerates often I'm telling you here and now that no upscaler will ever match it. Tech will come around to obsolesce AI upscalers eventually.
With how obsessed Sony has been with graphics since their very beginning, and the fact that this so called solution needs a Ridiculous amount of optimization, which is just not possible with how long games take to be made these days, I don't think this is going to happen . The PS6 will probably just have a lot of extra power, so the price will probably be 900 or 1000, and even if the PS6 costs 900, I think that console will probably not have a Disc Drive either, so 1000 is guaranteed

My only problem is that the Sony is selling a basic pc for 700$ with the same games getting a upgrade from the upgrade like we want games not Consoles
