Got a free gifted sub, and got new content? Neat! Totally agree btw. I tried Dark Souls 1 once or twice before but never got far due to feeling insane levels of anxiety when playing (I had even touched the original Demon's Souls on PS3 for like an hour previously) and the game never clicked, but I decided to play Bloodborne after reading a great crossover fanfic on it (and I had it through PS+) and it sorta just instantly resonated with me. And I think it's due to the more simplified RPG mechanics. Halfway through the game and everything really clicked into place, I've found that I don't seem to struggle against most bosses nearly as much as other people seem to and going back to Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 1 just showed me how comphrensible those games were. And when I realized there was that end in sight, I strived to reach it.
I chose Sekiro cause I hate myself and the skill doesn’t translate well to other souls games. I’m playing Dark souls 1 right now and all I’m good at is parrying (and dying.) Get it cause shadows die twice and I’ve grown soo dependent on the revive that I think it’s fine if I die once in DS1 and then lose my shit when I can’t. Nevermind
I strongly recommend staying FAR away from Sekiro. The combat is just too good; I can't enjoy combat in other games now. I'm only partially joking, it's probably best to save Sekiro for last. There is legitimately a risk of being disappointed by Elden Ring after playing Sekiro.
It's kind of like what DMC 5 did for all other character action games for me. I went through three four and five and then said "oh man I should play the Platinum games" booted up Bayonetta and wept tears of sorrow
It's true and i can confirm that after playing Sekiro which was my first introduction to from soft games I can't enjoy Elden Ring for real and I kept thinking about Isshin Ashina and how much I wan't to fight him again(I replayed it like 7 times now 2 of them are new game plus 7 💀)
@@naptimusnapolyus1227 I still loved my first playthrough of Elden Ring, but even then I thought the combat was disappointing. I've got 135 hours in Sekiro and I still boot up the game for a playthrough every once in a while; it's just so fun.
I Bloodborne a lot! But honestly the best way to get someone into the souls series is Dark souls 3 hands down and it's the souls game I like the least of the 3.
its crazy i downloaded bloodborne this summer it was my first souls game i completed it loved it got the dlc loved it got platinum and right after i bought elden ring with the dlc 😂
i have ocd where i cant leave a game unfinished no matter how much i dislike them, the only 3 games i dropped ,idway through this year are lords of the fallen, serkiro and wukong , 3 souls games lmao

DS3 is goated.
Bloodborne is the only soul game I got platinum for, the rest of them I’ve still played countless unforgettable hours, but never got all the trophies
Replay Bloodborne, you say? Aye aye

Already started playing elden ring fortunately or unfortunately but I’m definitely interested in bloodborne
You'll have a great time with both!
I personally find Dark Souls 2 harder than bloodborne but maybe I just suck at it.
