Thanks for coming my hometown. Great history, all spot on. Glad you didn't miss the best Yao tiou in town. Sri petaling formerly known for its dim sum street...
The accuracy in explanation and facts cannot be denied especially on the later incidents . Anyway that being said , i used to work around that area back in late 90s.. did not realize that there are so many hidden food gems . The seafood porridge has been been there back then . Parking is an issue , i hope now its better. Will make a trip there & check out the food gems. Thanks Elmo for another great video !
There is a roadside fruit rojak that is very delicious. In front of Public Bank and during 4D draws days, in front of DaMaCai. Most food covered here is from the old shop lots.
How about a video on my favourite food of all time. Zing hi or glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo leaf. It’s dragon boat festival soon and Soon I will be visiting Malaysia and could use some advice on where to find the best. Keep up the great videos. Enjoy everyone here in Calgary Canada. Thanks Gordon
Your painstaking research, tremendous efforts & dedication in presenting the best to your viewers are indeed commendable. What's most impressive is u speak without fear or favour. Every single info is a fact. Bravo! V salute you! 💐 Luv your intro.
Based on your recommendation, this morning, I've tried Cindy and David's Kai See Hor Fun and Penang Hokkien Mee. They're excellent! This Kai See Hor Fun has pleasantly strong shrimp aroma. Satisfying.
Thank you Mr Lee. Very good recommendations. I will definitely visit these places when I go to Malaysia. I have been to Sri Petaling before and never knew there are so much good food there. 👍
Time 0:02 Improve Immage 👍 - Wah ! Elmo, 😱 I don't recognise you at the beginning 🤦♂️. In your smart haircut and light blue T-Shirt with collar, you looks so handsome 😅. Its the right move on improve your public immage Infront of the camara 👌. Keep it up 👏🏻.
I used to be very impressed with the Kai Woh Pow when they started. Then the quality went down so bad i couldn't finish a pow and the price just wasn't worth it. Maybe they've decided to regain the worthiness of their branding again and you find it nice. Maybe a revisiting is in order. Thanx to your recommendation. I should get back there and try other goodies especially the Choke.
I agree the price is not worth it, nothing special even it looks special. It taste the same, just order a tai pau and a loh mai kai, it is the same thing. Perhaps a mantou plus a loh mai kai will do the same trick too. Fancy looking does not mean it is good, try it for the sake of trying and forget about it.
any food review is incomplete without the price. you only need to state the price at the time you visited the place, regardless of what the price will be in the future. if the price goes up in the future, no one will blame you as it is totally unknown to you at time of filming.
Great episode featuring Sri Petaling this time. A few of my all time favorites was also filmed - namely Wat Tan Hor , Congee and a nice hot bowl of noodles with good innards / soup and also the ham Choy soup with ingredients served with a bowl of nice fragrant rice ( or yam rice ). Last but not least - it is difficult to predict the price of food as the price changes frequently due to the changes in the price of the materials for the cooking. Agree. Thank you Elmo for a well done episode again. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Yatt Lau !!!
Besides pork, chicken is going to increase price soon 🥺 heard a lot of chicken related stalls in msia have closed due to fresh chicken supply shortage in recent months.. dunno how long the fresh chicken export ban will last
@@malaysiafood328 yes, first heard while having chicken rice for lunch on Tuesday.. can only enjoy the fresh taste while it lasts. Majority of our Chinese/Malay chicken-related foods, their flavour is dependent on fresh birds which cannot be found if frozen
There were so many interesting comments which I'm going to miss now! Looks like it wasn't just taken down, it was ordered (by Little Napoleons. Lol) to 'shut down' (?!).
@@malaysiafood328 Thank you, Mr Lee. We also went to Garden Bamboo Restaurant last night but Sky was on leave. Many thanks for your recommendations. We always watch your films and we like to listen to the history introduction before introducing the food. 😄
