For Siew yuk, yes, he is one of the best in town. But char Siew, still not yet. Suggest you to go Restoran Uncle Meng @ Shamelin, or Restoran Char Siew Yoong. There are both nearby located at Cheras, but I personally prefer uncle Meng one.
Hey bro, i believe the chicken were fried in the pot of oil, those were not soya sauce but cooking oil repeatedly used many times which changed it's colour. This is unfortunately very bad for our health. Please take care.
My previous workplace just 1-2 minutes walking distance.... I had been eating at this kopitiam almost every week during lunch break for over 15 years even before his siew yuk became famous....the first three years, I was able to eat the siew yuk at a cheaper price and can mixed it with either char siew or toasted chicken..... After the siew yuk became famous, the price double up and you have to order the siew yuk by stripe, no more mixed.....of gosh, time flied by way too fast.. look at his grandsons grew up so fast....I still remembered the day his son got married......have you notice on the wall behind where you sat, there are some photos of Master Wong took with Malaysian famous politician and former Malaysian badminton player, Datuk Lee Chong Wei when they had lunch there.

Thanks for your comment Agnes. It sounds like you have some great fond memories of the shop. How lucky to have been eating at it for so long! It's nice to see the business passed on to his grandchildren.
Wow, u guys get to see the whole process, im impressed!! This guy is known to only serve his food from 12pm sharp. From 11.30 ish, patrons will come to the kopitiam, sit down and wait for 12pm to get the roast pork. I was one of them on many occassions🤣🤣🤣🤣
Owww yaa...that's what a call bbq pork feast.. For the char siew, the burnt bit tastes the best and that crispy pork...no words to describe it. I always order a mixture of all the pork plus chicken.
Good choice! You really need a little bit of everything... And we totally agree, the little burnt bits are so flavourful, honestly the best meat feast ever 😂
Mamma mia!!! That was super extra illegal 🔥🔥🔥 The meat looks so tender and juicy with that beautiful crispy skin. OMG! We hope we can get to try it out one day soon 😝 Thanks a lot for your hard work ❤️

Thank you lovely couple for sharing such a terrific demonstration in BBQing....almost could smell the aroma. I'm Eastern European, my husband is from S'pore....Perth, W.Australia
Not sure if it has already been mentioned... The initial boiling of the slabs of belly pork is to soften the skin to enable it to be pierced with his multiple-nailed stabber. The holes in the skin permit the fat to oozes out, thus bursting the skin to make the crackling.
Thumbs up definitely for this delicious meats. If they have an extra cooker, Wong Sifu could add Roast Duck/Five Spice Marinated Goose in his menu. They probably started preparing the meat around 07:00 am or 08:00 am in the morning since their customers business from 12:00 pm to 02:00 pm only lasted two hours for 14 slabs of Pork Belly, 4 skewers of Char Siu BBQ Pork, & don't how many Soy Sauce Chicken they sold average each day. Since Chris already made his own Char Siu BBQ Pork, he can prepare this special recipe from Wong Sifu as well when he go home.
Visiting KL in few weeks time…. Will definitely try their roast meats… putting the plate of rice at one side like a side dish … seen few foreign tourists doing this lol
if u want to eat there...you need to go there before 12noon to que coz they only start serve at 12noon... que built up before that and by 1pm ++ usually everything is gone...
That siu yuk, char siu & bbq chicken looks so yummy 😋😋😋 unfortunately have to be in Malaysia to try it. If they can package to the US that would be awesome. You both are so lucky to have the opportunity to try that. I just subscribe! Stay safe and eat healthy. 👏👏👏

Went there before, yes their siu yuk is special. His secret is he removes the bad parts and gives only the best parts.
You're right, he is very particular about the cut of meat and removing anything that isn't of top quality. Truly special :)
