Mr Brzenk used to do the same, and prime Voevoda's basement trainings are legendary. It's interesting to see how all these awesome athletes have different approaches to training.
I think Oleg trains at home a lot as well. I just saw a vid where he has simple homemade equipment right outside his house in his yard. Here's a link if you're interested. ua-cam.com/video/FVbrN66_LW8/v-deo.html

Forearm work is underrated. Almost nobody at the gym isolates forearm work. Man Devon you truly are a beast!!!! i'm a huge fan and you are the reason why i fell in love with the sport of arm wrestling and seeing your training and workouts helps achieve my dream of becoming a pro armwrestler💪
Dear Devon, I love your channel! You are the greatest arm-wrestler ever! The exercises you describe in this video (2:10) are very good and helpful. Indeed, I have always been intrigued with forearm exercises, size, and strength (inspired very much by your awesome physique!), and I have consistently used grippers for many years. However, after developing arthritis in my thumbs, hands, and wrists over the years (perhaps exacerbated by ongoing use of grippers, as they do push into the thumb/palm very much, as you describe), I did not know how I could continue forearm training that does not rely upon gripper-style squeezing and is not heavily-dependent on wrist flexion/extension (given that such movements are now troublesome also). So, I do thank you very much for this good advice and exercise demonstration; it has been working very well.
2:35 I agree on the hand grippers being hard on the hands. Not only the base of the hands, the handle pressing the tendons and veins. But also on the knuckles.

I'm never into armwrestling, but i always find interesting to hear your thoughts from the first time when i saw a video from one of your coaching sessions here on youtube. So i just wonder around here, but i'm curious so i think i ask you like what are the typical rep ranges are you use in these exercises (like 1 - 100 or even more sometimes) also I wanna ask are you do these sets every time or most of the time to failure or sometimes have easier sets, days? How much time do you typically rest between sets, exercises if you do more than one?

Hi Devon! Thank you for your thoughts and videos.
