Looks delicious. Lobsters would be so fun to catch. Keep the catch and cook videos coming. Would also love to see a video showing all your gear and why you use certain pieces of equipment.
Great catch and cook. Sam looked like she crushed that risotto recipe. I have never had a seafood risotto, I am going to have to try that. My family loves butternut risotto, you should give it a try. The videos with Sam cooking are very enjoyable to watch, keep them coming. Mahalo
Catching lobster without a snare or a rake or a spear is so addictive. I started about 12 years ago and it still brings me as much joy today as it did on my first time. Can't wait for the covid restrictions to end, we are heading into prime cray time here.
@@RyanMyersExpeditions The hunt for a 5kg cray never stops for me. We have several species in Australia, but the Southern Rocklobster Jasus edwardsii is the ultimate prize for me. Can start hunting them again tomorrow thank fully.

What a cool video guys. I spearfish at Ilhabela, Brazil and we are lucky to catch lots of lobster over here, so I’ll definitely try that recipe! Cheers!
Moarrrrr catch and cook please, also not many spear fishermen on you tube edit and make vids like yours. Love are your vids wish more were catch and cook. Best spear fisherman on UA-cam
Definitely Sam cooking .It's generally really hard to find good recipes as most folks that spearfish have set ways on cooking there fish. SO MORE IDEAS ADD UP TO MORE FUN.Thanks Again.
FL season is closed but I can taste those lobsters looking at them! I only use my hands too, I dont trust nets or snares and shooting like you said can have unintended results, stay safe out there!!
Killed it kids! I see a lot of catch and "cooks?" which are pretty cringey to watch. Not because of the inexperience in cooking but the constant acknowledgement that they aren't looking into how to better their culinary expertise. So even if you're not like Taku from OutdoorChefLife, I really admire the appreciation to learn both the hunt and the cook aspects. I think that really honors a hunt a lot more. Keep at it!
Another great vid again and If you get a chance to grab some slipper lobster in Hawaii try them out bro the meat is a bit sweeter then the spiny lobster. the chow looks delicious great job🤙🏿
@@RyanMyersExpeditions nice bro looking forward to that vid. Man you make me want to get back into spearfishing. Did a whole lot of that early to mid 90's. I usually just rod and reel from land and kayak these days.
Great vid my man. Always good to see people catching lobster by hand, I cant watch people spearing lobster even if it might be legal in that particular area. As you say they could have eggs, then the mother is dead and thousand of lobster are not born for future fishing! Keep it up bro!

Hi Ryan.. Im a new follower.. Just OMG you have ur unique way making videos with that lovely person (sam).. Just be careful broo.. Between which program u r using to editing the videos? Thanks
Nice dive brah! I noticed you hesitating when u were right in front of some of da bugs and trying to go for more of a top grab but trust me dats how I’ve lost choke of them. A technique my unko taught me is to just keep your fingers tight and shoot your hand straight at their face trying to grab the lower part of da antennas so they no break off when u pull um out! Just my little tip which helped me catch 2x as many bugs that I was loosing before. No hesitate just grab!
A tip for cooking mushrooms, some edible species of agaricus contain agaricines which can cause some intestinal discomfort. Fortunately they are easily broken down by the heat when cooked. So it’s always better to “over cook” them.
always go under the antennea not over the top and grab them by the bottem of the antennea - also use your other hand as a distraction to make them lift the antennea up if needed
