I've always loved how when Clive abducts Flora, there are six grown adults in the room, two of which are police officers, and the first to chase him is Luke.
This game always stuck with me because of how much one person’s choice & greed impacted so many others so greatly and painfully. Really makes you think about life and also bout how much of a douche bill is because he literally caused all of these events.
The worst part is how Bill never gets his comeuppance. The only thing that happens is a snide comment from Chelmey at the end. Everything is Bill's fault, and everyone else suffers for it instead of him.

I love the way the game makes you think the title "Lost/unwound Future" is referring to the "future London" the main portion of the plot happens in at the beginning, but then by the end you realize it's referring to the future Claire and Layton could have had, now lost forever.

This game played such a big part in my childhood, I always played it when my parents fought, it required me to think and use my brain, which distracted me from my parents yelling, and as a reward for solving puzzles I would get to watch an awesome cutscene! So Nostalgic…
I had a similar strategy with the both the Layton games and the Ace Attorney games. Brainteasers are a surprisingly great distraction technique from arguing family members haha. Both series are very dear to me as a result. Love both of them.

I perfer the UK version purely because I think the voice acting is a 100 times better than the US. Especially with Luke.

She left her date with Hershel in a dark top but when we see her the next time dead on the ground she is wearing her future clothes. Claire's corpse we see in the middle of the game IS what happened to her _after she returned back to her time at the end of the game!_ 😨

i've always wanted to play this game- once it came out on Android i INSTANTLY bought it. And holy crap. . .I beat it within three days and I'm so glad I played it. I almost cried- By far one of the best professor layton games.

This franchise was the best selling Nintendo franchises in the UK for a very long time. Every store shelf was packed with them with every new release. I think when Lost Future came out Toys R' Us had like nearly 1500 copies in store. I don't know, I was only like 4 or 5 at the time, but I can remember every store I went to Professor Layton was one of the most trending game franchises, along with Halo, Batman Arkham and Uncharted.
Clive is like descole. Both are villains who lost their parents when they were young and that's why wanted revenge.they even know layton in the past,manipulated others for their own goals and wanted to destroy a city (by descole was that he wanted to destroy 2 cities) but get in the end redeemed
Something I realized about this game in particular is how they showed Layton to be a little more out of character than before. Not knowing how much Claire impacted him to break his normality when he see’s her again and the ending. This game shows Layton at his vulnerability but honestly one of the best of the best ever made. Also I hate how Bill never got his dues for what he did and the damage he’s caused to Clive and everyone around the science field
When i first played on the DS, when i first saw Clive i had the biggest crush in his character for some reason even thoigh he ended uo as the villain🤣😍
I remember getting all nervous when Layton revealed they weren't in the future...and when he says, "Someone here masterminded a scheme even more awful..." I actually said aloud, "Please don't be Future Luke, please don't be Future Luke..."
Even though I really like this game, it's far from perfect, but one thing that, IMHO it's absolutelly perfect is Don Paolo's character arc, my man is just straight up the mvp of this game (going from a goofy, mustache-twirling villian, to a simpatetic and very human rival and ally, and I just can't get enough of his tragically humurous backstory, that moment actually made me laugh out loud 15:30; it really is something that feels right at home on a Layton game), and I'd even argue that, alongside Layton's "journey", is by far my favourite aspect of this game.
