I love this! Learning random facts is one of my favorite things to do. Although, there is a minor error in Fact #14. Layton was indeed 34 in Last Specter, but it's been calculated that Curious Village takes place roughly three years later, thus making Layton about 37. This would make his birth year most likely 1923.
It's difficult to figure out Layton's age as there are two routes you can take to figure it out. Layton is also quoted as saying "I first heard of the Mask of Chaos eighteen years ago" in Miracle Mask. He's 17 in the flashback sequences, and eighteen years later would make him 35 in Miracle Mask, so it's possible he could be 34 in Spectre's Call. Alternatively, the flashback sequences in Lost Future state that Layton became a professor at 27 years old. Lost Future's events happen ten years later exactly, so he'd be 37 in Lost Future. That would mean, if one game happened a year, he'd be 34/35 in Curious Village. The only way both these could work is more than one adventure in a year: 34 - Spectre's Call 35 - Miracle Mask, Azran Legacy, Curious Village 36 - Pandora's Box 37 - Lost Future
@@DearestHershel Wow, yeah, figuring out his exact age in some games is complicated. I worked with some other facts. Emmy stated (among other facts) in the beginning of Last Specter that Layton is single and 34 years old, leaving him baffled at how much she knew already. Luke also stated in Eternal Diva that the film's main events took place three years prior to the opening scene, which must have taken place after Curious Village and before Unwound Future due to both Luke and Flora being present. Eternal Diva takes place between Last Specter and Miracle Mask, and I'm not sure where I learned this, but I believe Eternal Diva takes place specifically nine months after Last Specter. I may be wrong on that fact, though. I tried my best using that information to map out time passage between games. Finally, I figured that Azran Legacy took place over the course of a few weeks, or even months. The point is, the Layton timeline is cloudy and confusing, and I've just decided to assume this: Last Specter- 34 Eternal Diva- 34/35 Miracle Mask- 35 Azran Legacy- 35/36 Curious Village- 36/37 Diabolical Box- 36/37 Unwound Future- 37
Brilliant video. The only details I can think off the top of my head were numerous characters appearing in the background of the Eternal Diva film: Mr Beluga and Babette at the opera, Cogg and Spring wandering about London and I think there's a character who looks like Sammy in a lecture by Layton in the intro.
In The Last Specter, there's flavor text where Emmy mentions Big Ben has stood for over a century. Going by the completion date on Wikipedia (1859), that puts the game at least at 1959. Curious Village would then be at least year 1962. Looks like he just barely dodged the war.

And do you think Pandora’s box is perhaps similar to the curious village in any way shape or form Because I think the story with Layton and Luke set currently in Pandora’s box is set around in the time period of 1960 or 60’x perhaps 1960’s or even 1950’s But then I think the tragedy that occurred between Anton and Sophia in folsense occurred 50 years ago in the past would have occurred in about the early 1900’s Or 1910 time period within the 19th century and the 20th century early perhaps maybe. And I think with the curious village perhaps when flora was little and baron reinhold passed away I think that would haven taken place around 1920 1930’s time or still some time around the first part or early 1900’s . What do you think? Or do you have any ideas still on the case? But Pandora’s box in the Victorian time period or gothic period because of that and that folsense was a cursed town too after the tragedy and because of the events in the past that changed the town into a cursed predicaments. It that in the curious village Layton and Luke are so,vying in the case in the period of 1960 Because of the location design lights and the laces and fashion and people and the electricity lights look of the locations designs too possibly.

All the models I have are ripped from the 3DS games. There are several Laytonmobile models in the gamefiles, though they're usually trophies or mini models that have been down scaled from the full car.

I love your videos! :D
Where did you got that footage of the 3d rooms?? Did you made them your own, so yes, how did you extracted them from the game
Would love to know too !
I spot some HD miracle mask cutscenes! Have you considered posting those anywhere, or the 3D model rigs?
The HD Miracle Mask cutscenes are actually from the music video to 'Mysterious Flower'. I just did some editing to remove Yumi Matsutōya from the shots, so all the focus is on Hershel, Randall and Angela.
I've posted pictures of the 3D rigs and models on my tumblr (also dearesthershel), though I won't be distributing the models themselves as they're not mine to give away. :)
@@DearestHershel I see, I guess I forgot about the whole piracy thing....regardless, the stuff you put on tumblr is infinitely cool, thanks for sharing!
And do you think Pandora’s box is perhaps similar to the curious village in any way shape or form
Because I think the story with Layton and Luke set currently in Pandora’s box is set around in the time period of 1960 or 60’x perhaps 1960’s or even 1950’s
But then I think the tragedy that occurred between Anton and Sophia in folsense occurred 50 years ago in the past would have occurred in about the early 1900’s
Or 1910 time period within the 19th century and the 20th century early perhaps maybe.
And I think with the curious village perhaps when flora was little and baron reinhold passed away
I think that would haven taken place around 1920 1930’s time or still some time around the first part or early 1900’s .
What do you think? Or do you have any ideas still on the case?
But Pandora’s box in the Victorian time period or gothic period because of that and that folsense was a cursed town too after the tragedy and because of the events in the past that changed the town into a cursed predicaments.
It that in the curious village Layton and Luke are so,vying in the case in the period of 1960
Because of the location design lights and the laces and fashion and people and the electricity lights look of the locations designs too possibly.
Fact #26
CPS can't take Luke
This is amazing
How did you know that layton was 34 in the first game?
Man! Those games in fact 8 I wanna ply them!!
Did you watch the professor layton short movie? It took place on a boat then an island, been a while since I watched it
Yeah, it's why I used Eternal Diva's footage while explaining the fact. I wonder how much of the original Pandora's Box plot they reused in the film?
Awesome video
In lived once in a apartment that had everything i⁰n one room i only lasted 7 months and then i had to move out back to my parents to find something new.
Good stuff
May I ask, Hersh- where did you get the Miracle Mask and Azran Legacy models from?
They’re not in the VG Resource, as far as I can see... and I’m dying to use Emmy for something
And is there a Laytonmobile model?
All the models I have are ripped from the 3DS games. There are several Laytonmobile models in the gamefiles, though they're usually trophies or mini models that have been down scaled from the full car.
I hope they re-release these games for Switch. I see the Phoenix Wright series and Ghost Trick being re-released for Switch and PS4.
I wish the prequel trilogy got hd remasters
I thought LMJ was a mainline game though
#BringBackLayton! 😊😊💪💪
