      did you get one of the timers mixed up? it should have only taken 4 years maximum if done right, I think you may have accidentally overcooked one of your ginger or beef a bit. should give it another shot tomorrow and see if there's a difference.

    • @Leadvest
      @Leadvest 7 років тому +64

      Gristle, Friendsgiving is when you and your friends/roommates can't afford/don't want to go home to your respective parents for the relatively unimportant holiday; that is Thanksgiving. So you have it away from home with friends instead of family, doing a toned down version of the traditional meal which you really can't cook in your tiny apartment kitchen. But you try anyways, and swear next year will be a potluck/BYOB arrangement.
      Someone splits off from the friend group semi-permanently after finding out everyone is cool with the guy who sexually assaulted his sister. Your one friend who you always thought was cool gets really drunk and cries about his moms' cancer, and you can't help but think less of him, even though you know you're being unreasonable. Then next year he brings his girlfriend and she doesn't get along with anyone else. Then you realize Friendsgiving is just like Thanksgiving, just with a different but equally dysfunctional family.

Best of all, the step-by-step guide is so easy, its only 260 pages and requires 3 weeks in advance for the preparation. Ah yes. Simple, rustic, easy to prepare meals like this remind of when I was hiking across the Alps and came across an amazing little Italian town nestled in a picturesque valley just south of the Swiss border. A beautiful town where the Sun only shines directly on the marvellous European architecture for 3 hours per day. The crisp, clean air washes away the cares of modern life and allows a traveller to examine their goals in life. One must truly experience the almost spiritual care with which these traditional dishes are cared for and prepared to really appreciate just how hurried and rushed the modern world is and the deep hole that can be left in our lives if we don't reconsider our options and life choices on a regular basis.........

It doesn't even necessarily have to be a deliberate ploy, hell it's almost certain to naturally happen to at least some degree with any two people who have reasonably different levels of cooking skill. Seriously, the only situation where your solution would be the more fair one is where one party is deliberately and maliciously dirtying dishes they don't actually need just to screw the other party over, and I'd argue that anyone in such a situation shouldn't be sharing meals or chores in the first place 😅

(backed up because if you need an easy and simple recipe you don't know how to cook, there's nothing to be ashamed of). figure out what you are doing wrong to your ingredients. appreciate complex recipes now because you have a background of cooking and realize that it really isn't that hard to cook delicious food it just takes discipline not 'good recipes'.
