It's a shame though that those Baka bombs in the game have to be intact right up to contact in order to detonate. IRL, you would have done significant damage to the ship even if it had blasted you in midair. Ask the USS Jeffers about that little fiasco.

Fun Fact: The Ohki was nicknamed by the US Sailors the "Baka" which was the Japanese word for fool, idiot, etc...
And Yes the Ohki were used during the Pacific War during WWII it was just that they were used at such a late point in the war that they weren't as effective since US Carrier based fighters would shot down the Betty's(Japanese twin engine bombers) before they could launch the Baka

me keep up the IL2 1946, its one of my most favorite games, and there's only so much videos of like these. so keep it going. :)
You should also get some mods like the High Resolution / True Color Textures Mod, and the jet era mod which allows you to fly migs, panthers and stuff. you can get homing missiles to, its pretty cool.

Love these IL-2 videos! Way better than War Thunder IMO. I know it's made by the same devs, but for this games age it looks great, and it's realism is awesome. War thunders cool, but way to arcade like on the damage models, and such! Keep it up man, been loving the series!
I was under the impression that devs from the original IL-2 had worked on war thunder. Not the whole team, but a number of devs had worked on war thunder from IL-2 Stumovik. Could be wrong homie, but that's what I remember reading.

incase you use a nvidia card (translating from german to english i am not sure if its 100% correct):

>you may have to check your ingame rgaphic settings again and turn them to max after this. if you cant turn them to max, check if you realle selected "enhance", not "replace"

+Kawaii Penguin Exactly! In this when you get it, you get everything at once and you can have fun along with it being a great simulator. War Thunder is just a pay-to-win or wait 50-years-for-the-next-airplane MMO.
I love this game so much, it's timeless in nature, if you didn't know about this game I'll bet it'd be confused that it was released recently c:
War thunder has better graphics more mission and you can respawn unlike your hairline

I feel like you probably had to arm your ohka's bomb, which is why nothing happened on impact. Or ohka's just don't work when player controlled. Also you shoulda flew the Ki-84 for escort, it's better. :)

You have to realize that he plays more than one thing and he can play what he wants. If he wants pulsar he will do that but if he doesn't he will do something else.

Yea, these things were actually very frightening. Imagine a rocket powered plane coming towards your ship at 500 mph. They usually blew a gigantic hole if they hit their targets. I think the Nazis built a wooden version of this plane, but was rather designed to destroy planes mid-air
