I want your review after the install... I have followed your other videos and have also wanted to do this mod but wondering if it is worth it
I knew going in that this mod was going to do little to nothing for my Crosstrek. I feel like it's something that would be felt more in a manual and/or a higher power, more modified engine, where that reduced rotating mass would help more.
When putting parts on that the engine has to rotate like this, you should be able to see a difference when you have the car in neutral and you blip the throttle; lighter parts allow the RPM to raise and lower at a quicker rate, and when I tried that, I didn't notice anything change. It was just a single pulley changed out, though; making other parts like that lighter adds up.

Why did you replace the pulley?
I ordered another part, and this pulley was on sale to the point where it would put me over the threshold for free shipping and was only $10 more than not-free-shipping. Figured it was worth it just to make the video, and maybe I'd be pleasantly surprised by a small performance gain.
