This is a great rule for improvisation! I feel like I subconsciously have been using the rule of three without even knowing it, but now I will remember this for sure whenever I'm stuck! Thanks

Jeff, love this tip. Question. I always start many of my ideas on a 12 bar blues and transfer those ideas to other tunes. In my head this feels like Bird's Now's The Time. Can you do another video like this, but maybe over Stella or All The Things U R? Thanks. Your channel is awesome!

Your videos are great but it would be great to hear some chords in the back sometimes to give your examples a bit of harmonic context.

hey i'm looking to upgrade my mouthpiece, what might you recommend? My local store has no selection so I thought I'd ask here. I have about 200$ from a donation so thats pretty much my budget.

    • @JeffSchneiderMusic

+MusicNerd Your best bet is to go to a music store that has some mouthpiece selection and try a bunch out to see what feels and sounds the best. Meyer is a good brand to start with. Selmer Super Sessions are nice, too. I hear good things about the Vandoren models. I play on a Pillinger which I like a lot. If you don't live near a store, you can order from Woodwind and Brasswind. They'll send you a bunch of mouthpieces and you can ship back whatever you don't want. Good luck!

Known by blues guitar players since 100eds of years ( add 4th part : completely different to 1,2 or 3 and you end up with a blues pattern😂)
