I have an 89 club car d.s.. it runs great on short trips but if you drive fora long time it dies.. Had carb cleaned ,oil changed ,new fuel filter. It actually had 2 fuel filters one in front of carb and one behind. The one behind was removed. It runs rich, can smell gas when driving it. And like I said it stops after awhile I had to push choke in to get it home , actually all the way home what could be wrong ?

where do you get the tool to suck the gas out of the gas tank
Mine cranks over when you switch it to forward and doesn’t crank when u push the gas and it keeps cranking after its started how do I fix that it’s a 98 fe 290

And another question, all fuel pump for golf cars can work, doing same work on any golf car?

They are all typically the same but have different layouts to fit different configs
Cant you get a rebuild kit for the fuel pump
In some cases, you can. Most of the rebuild kits are almost as cheap as the fuel pump so it doesn't make sense to rebuild it.
When trying to start it at the end, you used an air compressor to spray some air into the fuel tank. And then it started. What did that do?
I do that to push gas through the fuel lines and pump. New pumps need to be primed and this helps to prime it. You don't need to use a lot of pressure, just enough to get the fuel moving.
I have a 2003 Club Car DS and it will die just like the key was turned off. I wait a minute or two and then I can drive it again. I replaced both fuel filters, the solenoid and 3 microswitches and now it is worse than is was before. When it stops now, I get a strong smell of gas. Any ideas what to look for?
When you say it dies, does the engine completely stop or does it keep trying to crank over? If you smell gas, its possible the ignition coil is failing. There is also a rev limiter on the lower front of the engine that can fail and cause similar symptoms. When it does it, check spark by removing the plug from the engine and plugging it into the plug wire. Lay it on the engine and crank it over. The spark should be bright and blueish/white.
@@Kevinsgolfcarts When it dies the engine completely shuts off, it is like the key has been turned off, it will not turn over or do anything. I wait a couple of minutes and it takes off again. It is intermittent and there is no rhyme or reason when it happens.
How do I adjust the air fuel mixture? I have an 09 DS and the overflow tube just sprays out fuel
There really isn't much of an adjustment on these carbs. If you have fuel coming out the overflow, then the float is not closing. You will have to disassemble the carb, clean it and reassemble.

Sometimes I do. It depends on how many are waiting to be worked on for the day. I try to get them in and out as quickly as possible. I can usually get carts back to people the same day.
you went from chunks if carb bowl to video of carb reinstalled. What happened in between? Kind of critical in a video about a cart that wasn't running. Why would you leave cloudy gas in the tank? Lots of unsabered question and confusion in this video.

When replacing the Driven clutch on a Club Car DS, should I apply anti-seize or some type of grease to the keyed shaft before re-installing the clutch.
The original '97 clutch came off pretty easily. I want to be sure it will come easily again, if I need to replace the clutch in the future. I watched your videos on Club DS gas and did not find my question addressed. Thank you for your help.
Yes, its a good idea to apply a rust prohibiting agent to the shaft prior to installing the clutch.

I have an FE350 engine I'm going to use for a belt driven power washer Im building. Question. It has a gravity fed fuel system with a tank. Could it be possible for me to remove the tank and add a larger auxilary fuel tank and install a fuel pump to this engine? It seems like a far superior engine to the comperable Hondas or clones out there.
I see a few issues with what you are planning to use this engine for. First issue is starting the engine. These engines don't have dedicated starters and rely on the starter/generators for starting and charging. They also do not have dedicated charging systems. Second, they have tapered PTO shafts and are very short, about an inch long. It will be difficult to locate a pulley that will fit on the shaft properly. Third, these engines are not gravity fed, they have fuel pumps and use the pressure pulse from the crankcase to drive the fuel pump. Fourth, these engines do not have internal governors. They work in conjunction with the rear differential to control engine RPM. There is an RPM limiter mounted to the engine but this only cuts the ignition when maximum RPM has been reached, then enables ignition when RPMs drop to a safe range. This will cause surging each time its hit. The FE350 is a Kawasaki engine and not designed to be run in a standalone method. You would be better off with a purpose built engine with built in governor, fuel, ignition, charging and starting that is designed for power washers. Otherwise I can see more trouble than its worth. Not too familiar with these engines, but it's hard to beat a Honda. The clones (like the Predator) are very good also with a HUGE aftermarket following.
I've got a 82 g1a yamaha 2 stroke gas powered cart it's getting fuel and spark the tricky part is if i squirt gas into carb it will run after sitting a few minutes i have to repeat the process any clue what could be the problem? I've replaced the carb,fuel pump,spark plug and still can't figure it out please help.

Sounds like you may have a blockage in the fuel line somewhere or the pump is not primed properly. There is a screw on fuel filter located at the bottom of the tank. Most people don't know those are there and the filter falls apart and clogs the line. Drain the tank, remove the filter element or replace it with a new one and blow the line out. The fuel pumps on those are not very strong at sucking fuel so any little blockage will stop fuel flow just enough to cause this. Its possible you have a leak in a fuel line near the pump. Sometimes these leaks allow air in but do not show leaking fuel. I hope this helps!
Kevin's Golf Carts 1 more question if the crank seal on the belt side is leaking would that have any affect of it running
Absolutely. The fuel pump relies on the pressure changing inside the crankcase to operate. These are pulse driven pumps that use diaphragm to move fuel from the tank to the carb. If the crankcase has a leak, it will not pump fuel. It won't run well, if at all.
