I have been using Korean and Japanese skincare since 2010, I got a Clarisonic in 2011-2012 and I still use the same unit until today. I love it, I can not get the same results without it. Now that I'm working from home and not wearing makeup everyday, I don't use it as often, but 3x a week is a must for my skin to be exfoliated properly. Using chemical exfoliation alone doesn't give me the same results. I will go on a hunt to buy more brush heads now. I usually disinfect mine regularly with hydrogen peroxide or 70% ispropyl alcohol. I buy the most gentle brush heads too, it's not so evil if you know how to make it work for your skin.

I won’t miss the Clarisonic at all. I tried the Clarisonic years ago to try to scrub away the RetinA peelies...nothing worked until I discovered Pixie Glow Tonic and DE Sukari Baby Facial about 5 years ago...completely eliminated the peeling skin from RetinA. (I have since replaced the Drunk Elephant with The Ordinary AHA/BHA Peeling Mask) Now I use a double cleanse, the Makeup Eraser microfiber cleansing cloth and a variety of AHA/BHA including The Ordinary Lactic Acid, and most recently Bay Harbor Beauty Pumpkin Enzyme Mask. GENTLE physical and chemical exfoliation is the way to go. Thanks for another excellent video.

Another great video. I typically use a two step cleansing with a microfiber cloth or my hands. I am much more about the products than I am about the gimmicks, so my hands work just fine.

For people with acne prone skin...no blackheads, but actual acne vulagaris that requires prescription medication to clear...the Clarisonic morning and night was critical to getting clear skin.
Now, for the rest of you without genetic problems with your pores naturally functioning as they should, the Clarisonic probably is a luxury.

I double cleanse and use a micro fibre cloth, but I also use my Magnitone. I’m addicted to it, I had my first one for years and when it broke I was very upset, then I got some birthday money this year from my dad (I know I’m 44 but you’re never too old for money in a card!!!) and bought a new magnitone and I’m so happy!!! I use the brush head for my second cleanse and the silicone head for my moisturisers, and sometimes the silicone head for my hair serum (I’ve had alopecia for many years). I honestly would be lost without it 💋💋💋

Hi babe, thank you so much for your reply 💋
I was very lucky when I got mine, it had just been reduced to half price and as if that wasn’t good enough, they had just one left in pink, so it was a win win situation that was meant to be!!!
I wouldn’t have thought about using the silicone attachment for working in cleansing balm but I’ve just done so and it’s worked a treat, thank you so much for the tip!!!💋💋💋

Thank you for a great video. I have the Aria which isn't made anymore and purchased the small travel one they released. I haven't used either in a few years to be honest, but for those that do use theirs, I wish they would at least keep the replacement brush heads around. Its crazy to sell a product for so long and just stop. I believe chemical exfoliating is becoming a lot more popular, so this may be what went into their decision, but they should still have the brush heads available, but that's just my opinion. 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Crazy for everyone to invest in this product and once again have a wasted device sitting around collecting dust. 😔

Looking back at this brush is so horrifying! Haha. I remember in the early days of UA-cam and "beauty gurus". They would do skin care routines using the clarisonic, and then go in with the St Ives scrub (daily).
Thank God we have all learned so much. I started using the ordinary about four years ago and it was definitely a break through. I'm happy the young teen agers in the age of tic tok have more information available to them about skincare that is accurate.

Skin care is so individualized. I am learning to take it slow. Add products one at a time and give it time. I am new to this. I consider this self care.
      What works for you?

    • @christinab5778
      @christinab5778 4 роки тому +2

If you are a makeup wearer you might consider a pre-cleanse before it (like a balm or oil) but if you have drier skin I think the moisturizing face wash should be fine. That’s just my thoughts!

How about the entire night's worth of sweat, grease and grime, not to mention product residue from my evening skincare... :'D My face is fucking disgusting when I get up, I legit can't wait to run to the sink and wash it off lol. Also, the Foreo is great, but ridiculously overpriced - Xiaomi makes a great dupe called InFace, you can get it on Amazon for $16.90 right now. Would highly recommend.

I don't believe in deep cleansing. When I - at long last - switched from a foaming cleanser to a creamy, detergen-free one, my skin improved almost overnight.
I have one of those cheap silicone scrubbies from Sephora that I I sometimes use, but I have ten lovely digits at the end of my hands that work splendidly as well.
(Aaaaand you basically just said the same NOW.)

This brush was amazing for my skin. I have oily acne prone skin and I use it for maintenance about once every two weeks. I use a double cleanse everyday and I chemical exfoliate about 2-3 times a week. But using the Clarisonic was awesome as a gentle physical exfoliator. Please didn’t use it right. They used it every single day. Too much. I’m so sad to see Clarisonic go.

    • @kita3256

Also, I never put the whole brush under water and each time after using, I take the brush head out and wash very well then I dry before putting it back in the Clarisonic. Stays super clean. I still replace brush heads every 4 months.

You made a foolish purchase. The drugstore knock off is not the same brush, and it's that brush that cured my acne vulgaris that only Accutane could clear up (but only for 6 months, until it came back).
Nothing has been better for my acne prone skin than a Clarisonic, and the knockoffs only drove me right back to Clarisonic.

L'Oreal is the embodiment everything that is wrong with corporate skincare. Not sorry to see the Clarisonic go but I agree with you that it's a terrible way for the company to phase it out. Back when I was a teen in the 70s I used the predecessor to the Clarisonic. I forget what it was called but I think it was marketed by Neutrogena and was a bulkier product but essentially identical to Clarisonic. I used to scrub the hell out of my face with that using some horribly drying cleanser, then apply some terrible alcohol based astringent and then follow up with super drying benzoyl peroxide goop. Ugh!
