I expected light cheap plastic feeling, but it was sturdy and had a great weight and overall - if this thing had something with better software like Garlic or Onion (or something similar) it would be amazing. You'd think that handheld companies would be paying for great O.S support as it has the potential to be game changing!
Wholeheartedly agree. Stock (and the modified stock called Tomato OS) are good, but nothing comes close to the elegance of an OS running theemulation station frontend.

Update: I'm having some issues with roms that I have added. These are super Mario World ROM hacks, and I've noticed that some of them work but other ones don't. I just get a black screen after it says that it has loaded. I've tested these ROMs on several other handhelds as well as my PC, and they all work fine. I've noticed that this system seems to default to SNES9x 2005 emulator, where is all the other ones use newer versions snes9x. I don't know how to change that. Any suggestions? Super Mario World ROM hacks are literally the only thing I play on my retro handhelds...

I should have looked for a video from you first, but thanks to you I got it up and running! I did have one issue with my card format; I'm on a Mac and am using a 128g card, which I guess Mac will not allow to format as FAT32? Could not figure it out [newb] and ended up using a smaller card that was formatted appropriately, slapped the incremental update on there, and got it to install. Then just swapped back to my larger card with all my games and everything is as it should be! I might have taken the long way to get to the end goal, but I'm still learning! 😅 Thank you for helping me figure it out, Joey!!!
Great video!! I had to watch it in 2x speed you talk really slow compared to other UA-camrs but I prefer that than the other ones that are too fast to follow
I think in that segment he was suggesting that the included ROM was at fault for the stuttering, not the SD card. The SD cards are just prone to failure, but always better to use your own ROMs as well. Although I think that particular game is not going to run full speed on this device regardless.
using the tekken 5 rom included on the stock card made the game freeze at loading times (sometimes) now im using my own rom of the same game and no more freezing

Hi, thank you for the video! I did exactly what you mentioned, but I still couldn't find the games inside emulators. I rechecked Rom folder and it was empty, even empty inside the downloaded base package zip
Are all roms bad? One reason I bought it with the SD card was to skip the step of downloading each of the roms. But if they are bad you think I should replace all of them? Or maybe just change the ones that keeps crashing.

Because it's difficult and too much work. You can use Skraper and put the images in the Imgs folder, then folders for each emulator and images name has to match game name.

It worked for me i just left my old roms folder so i didn't lose the games.

You would do Crossmix or this, but not both. Crossmix overwrites all of this.

When I use Rufus to format the card I end up with two "autorun" files. Do I keep these or delete them?

so button to right of FN is the boost mode? or do u have to switch it back to left for boost mode?
Go to settings to choose what you want the FN switch to do.

You can use it to transfer files, Saves taking the Micro Sd card out to add roms etc.

how do I install MAME games? I put files in to the folder and it shows nothing is there. I tried refreshing the roms.
