      @@Statford Only Tex Watson, Leslie Van Houten, Susan Atkins & Pat Krenwrinkle committed the family murders & were convicted for them.
      Mansion did not kill any of the Mansion Family victims, he was not convicted of their murders either. He was convicted of conspiracy to the murders, but not the murders themselves.
      It's fairly easy to look this stuff up.
      From a legal perspective, the death penalty was a complete miscarriage of justice on Mansion. This was long before 3 strike rules & RICO cases. Snoop has the politics confused. Recreational marijuana is illegal at a federal lever which means it’s technically ILLEGAL everywhere including Colorado because federal law overrides state law.
    I’m a California resident born and raised, recreational AND medicinal marijuana is now legal at a state level but should the federal government decide that they want to shut that down, they’d have the authority to do so. That also goes for the other states that have legalized recreational marijuana such as Colorado, Oregon & Washington state.

    • @SherrickDuncan
      @SherrickDuncan 3 роки тому

      The federal government of these united states does not at all over rule the state government according to the federal governments constitution and bill of rights and declaration of independence in this our constitutional republic (not a democracy).

    • @ericmoore5551
      @ericmoore5551 2 роки тому

      @@SherrickDuncan True with a caveat. The state and federal court systems are separate and independent.
      By FindLaw Staff | Reviewed by Evan Fisher, Esq. | Last updated November 29, 2021
      The recreational use of marijuana is legal in 16 states and Washington, D.C. In 19 states, medicinal use of marijuana is legal for specific patients. Marijuana laws have changed significantly in the last couple of decades and will likely continue to do so.
      If you live in a state that legalized medical or recreational marijuana use, it may come as a confusing surprise to learn that possessing, buying, or selling marijuana is still a federal crime. The problem is that, despite the liberalization of state laws across the country, federal law still treats marijuana as a controlled substance, just like cocaine or heroin.
      This conflict between state and federal law creates a situation where you could be charged with a federal crime for activities that are allowed by the laws of your home state. Federal agencies are mostly reluctant to charge individuals with cannabis-related crimes (unless the drugs are associated with larger organized crime, gang activity, or impaired driving). There are also several ways that federal marijuana laws can affect everyday life decisions, from where you bank to where you live.
      The reluctance mentioned by FindLaw is based on many things to include but not be limited to; resource availability, prosecution expense, prison expense, etc.
      Therefore, the law enforcement officers (within jurisdictional responsibility) which fall under the umbrella of the Departments of Homeland Security and Justice can arrest you for marijuana offenses in any state. The charges, if any, will be brought to the federal court by the US Attorney and if prison time is the result, it will be served within the Federal Bureau of Prisons not a state prison.

    • @SherrickDuncan
      @SherrickDuncan 2 роки тому

      Eric Moore I am aware of all of that. I am not saying that the federal government doesn't break and contradict it's own consistutional law. I am just saying that according to their own constitution the state laws when contradictory the the federal laws are the ones that trunk the federal legally speaking.

    Federal means the federal government legalized it. Which it hasn't. Certain states legalozed it but federal law overpowers state law. So technically the federal government ignores the sale of weed in the legal states on the principal that they hold states rights in a higher regard on this issue. But Trump or that old crazy dude that thinks weed is as harmful as heroin could crack down on the dispensaries ANY DAY if they wanted to. I guess they didn't do it cuz it's a huge industry and a huge win for the state in taxes.

    Manson got the death penalty. Everybody on death row in California had their sentences commuted by the California Supreme Court according to People vs. Anderson in 1970. A few years later every death sentence in America was commuted by a similar US Supreme Court decision. I wish this could happen now.

The good ol LAPD was notorious for their corrupt practices, and framing men they wanted to get off the streets. They hated Tookie the most. 2) even if he did do the crime, I feel that he did enough good in his life afterwards to redeem himself. He dedicated his life to helping save kids from gangs. Or lets say George Zimmerman turned his life around do you think he deserves to be seen as a changed person.

    These guys are missing the point big time. It doesn't need to be federally legal, or state legal. It doesn't need to even be mentioned in any law book. Nor does heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, any other or any other product. If all men are created equal, how the fuck can you have a government. Or a police man. Somebody wearing a costume, does not give them any authority over me, or anybody else. If they take your product, and try to kidnap you, they should be dealt with properly, with lethal Force. Thieves, and kidnappers. With a little extortion thrown in for your fines. They are scum bags.

    to be fair: Manson didn't actually kill anyone himself (though there's a debate out about whether or not he shot a drug dealer at one point, never proven as far as I know?), he got people high on LSD, filled their heads with all sorts of weird crap that he made up and masterminded his followers into committing the LaBianca and Tate acts themselves.
    Not at all to take away from the dichotomy of unfairness that Snoop was attempting to convey with a Tookie v.s. Manson sentencing comparison, but there were some real pronounced differences between these two beings.
    Tookie shouldn't have been executed, he clearly reformed AND was serving as pretty much THE MOST OFFICIAL SOURCE EVER on why you shouldn't join a gang. The State of California REALLY FUCKED UP when they decided to let such a valuable asset to The Black Community perish at their command, AND... it may've had the negative affect of having The Black Community turn even more against trusting the government, AS WELL AS, persisting even more gang violence as a result of not having such a powerful voice speaking out against it.
    Arnold really dropped the fucking ball on this one.

      Yes, Manson killed himself the day he started a murderous group. The difference is that Manson's crazy ass didn't try to change his story to get out of prison. He stayed there and died there like he should have. Tookie was King Crip and put in work but after those prison years wore on him he began writing children's books and looking for a way out. Even after he claimed to have changed he refused to debrief on the Crips. If you live the gang life then expect jail and death.
