Ive spent alot of time running and looking for the sour. Ive ran the Amish cut, rez's seeds, karma's seeds, twin turbo diesel by CSI humboldt. The closest thing to absolute fire I've ran is CSI humboldts twin turbo diesel. It's 2 packs of seeds. 7 seeds are AJs sour diesel x chem 91. The other 7 seeds are CSIs sour diesel x chem 91. Whoever wants the sour run CSIs gear.
You know what's funny,I brought a zip of soul diesel recently and dude who was a customer ask me "is that the same soul from 10 years ago" I said no we will never find that soul again.
The term “fire”, originated during the early 2000. I remember people would describe good flower as “fire” because it smelled like gas or diesel. Then people used it to describe any good weed. Then, it was used to describe anything good.
Krippy and Diesel was the Fire and who knows how many times they got cross bred into each other with herms. Good Sour D exists but it's hard to find it west without heavy influence from OGs. It's all phenos of Headband crosses back to terp and plant phenotypes. That's my take.

Down southeast Krippy became OG and we had the Sour D also before everyone else in the world we had both. Krippy and Diesel and they are definitely crosses of the Dogbud. We had that too. Our big new thing was Purps through Widow. That was superior to all of it back then. Wild stoney purps not the weak stuff of the west.
A chemdawg variant, so many strains started that way it seems. Chemdawg 4 x Superskunk/Skunk#1 (skunkman) is what im guessing knowing a bit of Neville and Holland Seedbank and SSSC shuffle late 80's early 90's and what gear was being grown/popular. I was growing Neville's gear in the late 80's in San Diego aeroponically. Some fierce genetics for sure. I guess its market dependent, but everyone breeding skunk into their lines forever changed the way cannabis affected people. Why people thought it was laced, and still do. Its a different effect some are looking for. I grew out gypsys version of NYSD 2010 or so 😉 thanks for the history lesson boys, aloha from Michigan.

Oh yea, Dan won Emerald Cup 2023 for best outdoor flower, and best breeder with his Chem #15 cut. It all started out with this dude. Cool. Salute!

Yeah I was thinking something like that myself. I hope I do get to taste real sour again one day though. Really is a unforgettable strain and the perp was even better in my opinion.
In 2010 I walked through the mall with an eight and every store I walked in people asked me where can I get that. What a blessing to have smoked that strain
I love the comparison they talked about with old school statins and the new age strains popping out today. It’s just like video games and movie scene. We use ti have great movies and game franchises that stayed around for years with one building on another. No everything is washed out and pushed forward. Maybe too many options is just that too much than we need. 🙏👍
Like everything else in America, it’s just an illusion of choice. It’s not all the same for sure, but it ain’t all that different. 3 kinds, vs 30 different kinds vs 300 different kinds.
Look, I've been smoking herb for almost 20 years now. My buddy brought an ounce of NYC Sour into our dorm building. Packed in multiple Ziplocks and put in a safe. The next day the Resident Advisors were knocking on everyone's door warning us that if the smell didn't go away, they're calling the authorities. My homie had to stash it outside after that. It smelled like SKUNK, cat piss, diesel fuel and rain. I've lived in CO for 10 years, smoked lots of Cali bud, but nothing in my mind will match that Sour D from NY. That bud was on a level that I don't think can ever be achieved again. Everything is just citrus terps now
Sour d grown properly indoors is probably the strongest stuff I ever smoked. I’m sensitive to Sativa strains and it blows my brain lol extremely dank aroma and taste. Modern strains I just don’t like even if they are around 40% thc they just don’t do it for me… I love landrace and old school genetics the best. Too many dumb sounding strain names and girly flavors lol

Weed is different From what it was 15-20 years ago.... I think a lot of plants and strains were destroyed in raids and grow op busts and those strains genetics disappeared since then and are now extinct. I havent had any real hydro or bud that gets me high like back then. I think there were more psychoactive compounds in the weed back then than there are now... Some of which we dont even know about because those strains and genetics are gone....
It's because everyone switched from seeds to clones. Starting from seed means there's some genetic diversity in the same bag. The plants are more like a family. Similar genetic commonalities, but also unique individual differences. Now seeds are for the most part just used to pheno hunt, but once they find the winner it's all cultivated from clones.

Nope, it’s literally all the same exact shit now, 95% of the time. The rare occasion you find someone with a real hook, those sunzabitches want a literal bar of gold and the title of your car for a dub. It’s absurd. The upside is that what used to be the normal mids, or dirt weed, basically doesn’t even exist anymore. Thankfully. Downside, everybody got the exact same shit, basically all the time, until the next flavor of the month rolls around. None of it really stands out from anything else. None of it is bad like dirt weed was, but none of it is actually great.
Bubblegum and Durban Poison were the mainstay Indica & Sativa respectively that the Hells Angels grew in Southern Ontario, Canada from like 1990-2005 The flavours were incredible from skilled growers. the problem is that back in the day they were growing the sour in closets and basements and they didnt have perfect environmentals and sealed rooms with ACs pumping, everyone thinks the sour needs cold, it actually is the other way around the sour needs heat and sulfur to smell the way we used to remember, back in the day everyone used sulfur and nobody used ACs the temp was alwways near 80 degrees. thats all u need to do to get fire sour, flower at 80-82 constant temp with constant low humidity 40-45rH and use heavy sulfur and nitrogen thru vedge and early flower and cut off the nitrogen and flush with potash of sulfate not plain water. do a very quick dry no cure and u will have the most skunk smell possible

I used to grow and it was the best time in my life, It was really good growing for my depression,I stop growing and I been depressed ever since
I needed this fr as an big SOUR advocate!! That ashy lime green funk I can never forget ! I miss true SOUR soo bad !
You guys are the smiliest humans I have seen on Ytube. Your collective vibe alone is more than enough to make my day. Peace from Asheville.
💯
That early 2000 sours was crazy i remember
U had to peel the old school haze.. greenish brown n mad sticky
My buddy still grows those 1990s genetics! Stil brown and sticky as back n the day and the terps are insane ! These kids now a days would say it's got no bag appeal but the quality is like nothing in the market 🤷🏻♂️
That beef and broccoli bud 🔥🔥🔥
Dat piff, heemy
Such a legendary strain. This and Bubba Kush all time favorites
I never had good bubba kush😂😂😂.. shit was always trash
@@premium7182😂😂😂 mannn what’s crazy is I did too just to sell and out of nowhere my cousin met this dude and he had everything 😂. I had got some tree to blow and I was so high I called to ask him and he said it was Bubba Kush, I was shocked 😂😂. He kept it on deck and I would buy until it was phased out
Good Bubba Kush tasted like the fun dip sticks white candy to me. Great tasting strain.
Bubba was the best tasting weed ever besides grandaddy purp
Before kush was king we had sour on the east coast. Crazy story. I love that this history is being preserved.
Also was the haze and hydro lol miss em days
2010 NYSD is the 1
C4 is one of the my favorite/ best strains ever
@byrondenny1636 A lot of fakes out there of C4
I got a load of sour diesel from Northern California in 2014-15 & it was extremely fluffy beautiful nugs top tier smoke god bless those growers from back then
After the haze wave it was sour and haze but the best of both was always found around dyckman back around 04-05. Then out here in Connecticut they had triple sour a few years later. I heard the best Sour similar strains are coming from Worcester area these days
NYC Super Sour diesel in 2009/2010. Nothing will ever compare.
just seeing all these comments lol love to see this
and since like 2012ish it dried up there 😢
I miss the Purple Kush ! The pure Original cut of Purple Kush is 100% indica and the best medical strains of all time , Purple Kush is definitely in the TOP 10 medical strains Of all Time
Im growing some Double OG Chem, and Sour 2.0 from Dan at RebelGrown for outdoor growing here in Ontario CA. Dan's Chem stuff originates out of the Chemdog lineage. His Sour 2.0 also is ECSD lineage.
Beautiful flowers, tops are straining their branches here. Harvest window has just opened. I love Chem. Chem4 cutt is beautiful too.
Oh yea, Dan won Emerald Cup 2023 for best outdoor flower, and best breeder with his Chem #15 cut. It all started out with this dude. Cool. Salute!
Chemdog is god awful I remember growing that one of the worst mistakes I’ve made . i recommend growing something better
Sour was insane. Never experienced anything like it. Diesel was also insane. Made you think you smoked something laced. U would close your eyes and be in the stars
I thought I was just being nostalgic about the NYC Sour Diesel (dat dour) and Headband from back in the day. I would love to get my hands on that stuff today!!
That which can be claimed without evidence ... can be dismissed without evidence.
Yeah I was thinking something like that myself. I hope I do get to taste real sour again one day though. Really is a unforgettable strain and the perp was even better in my opinion.
THANK YOU!! SAY IT LOUDER FOR THESE PEOPLE WHO MAKE ALL THESE OPEN CLAIMS. These people are atraight clowns
Man was so high he lit up a second joint while already having a previously lit joint in his other hand 😂
A mf ain't pass dat bihh yet 😂😂
Still smoking it to this day one of my top 5 I got the same beans and clones going from early 2000
I remember getting NYCSourD it was super light green and long buds almost Psychedelic
That sativa
Where the Piff and Sour@ today! 😅 I need some 😅
Look, I've been smoking herb for almost 20 years now.
Everything is just citrus terps now
😂back in da days a 10$ was 0.5 and now a 10$ can be 1 gram or 2 gram these new stoners dont know the old days
Do you like weed for the terps or the thc more?
@@ffgith2831 Facts.
Thank u guys so fn much till this day I’m still known for Sour🙌🏾💯
Sour d grown properly indoors is probably the strongest stuff I ever smoked. I’m sensitive to Sativa strains and it blows my brain lol extremely dank aroma and taste. Modern strains I just don’t like even if they are around 40% thc they just don’t do it for me… I love landrace and old school genetics the best. Too many dumb sounding strain names and girly flavors lol
So glasd I watched this! Ive had stage on deliver many times as I have cancer and sometimes can't keep up with my harvests but this was fucking cool to hangout and and listen to the stories, Nicely done!
I was 14 in 08 smoking this when my older friend started getting P’s in the mail. I remember I wrapped a little 8th of sour in like 10 ziploc bags and stashed it in a small metal box, my mom still smelled that shit from the second floor 😂😂.
Without the sour diesel, we wouldn’t have The Deathstar. Best sour diesel cross and top two strains, ever!
NYC Super Sour the only bud I seen that won the cannabis cup twice
What happend to Piff? Haze? Silver Haze?
I had New York City Diesel back in 2003...playing pool at a local dive bar and the manager approached me saying I reeked and should leave my stash in the car lol. He wanted to connect with me so bad but I wouldn't. No new friends 😂😂😂
Ny city diesel and sour diesel are 2 different strains
When I first started smoking in high school that damn sour diesel was something else. The title with the whole sudden disappearance def makes me feel better cuz I swear I havent smoked any sour like that since. in ny state btw
BRING IT BACK!
I miss the kush strains Bubba kush bubble kush all the others. That taste was unmatched
Sour Diesel ..Lemon Haze …Grand daddy purp…purple haze …regular haze …Philly
I'm in louisiana so I have to use a medical dispensary so unfortunately I don't get the option to see and smell my bud first. Description and percentage is all I have to go off of so🤷♂️
Weed is different From what it was 15-20 years ago....
@@Inverted314 yea that makes sense my friend grows from seeds and his plants look crazy and they're about 5-6 feet tall
The real reason weed is not as stony as it was 20 years ago is due to cookies. Cookies weakens the stone, takes away the potential.
@@GhostRider-dp2tc fuck cookies
@@Inverted314exactly hence the term “GMO WEED” because the genetics are indeed modified and real heads know because we been doing this and can see & feel the difference from then till now !
My sweet crude a s diesel cross got pollinated by someone else's stuff. I have some daywrecker and kosher kush seeds still.
I believe og sour d died when grows switched from HPS to LED lights imo.
Are you saying that the terps changed from different spectrum output?
Bro LEDs grow straight Fire Ive been on it since Blurples Now we got the Newest Samsung Joints Original Overgrow I was gutting parking lot lighting from home depot for the sodiums 30 years ago trust and believe the new LEDs FIRE Hot tip throw in UV supplementation either high output fluoro for reptiles or the LED ones BOTH WORK for that stank and that 40% THC....
I just CRUSHED Pre 98 Bubba from Katsu w some Viparspectra LED hanging above and AC Infinity UV Side lighting LED I used a lot of our tricks and made that thing a resin BOMB...hit your dry backs and MERC the bitch w UV you will get stunted buds that are straight crack rocks...
@@jakelooter5139ummm... Godfather OG is the strongest official testing at 30%. I'm sorry, but you're either dead wrong, or a master grower who needs to send his stuff off for testing and win some awards for the BY FAR most potent strain in the world. I'm going with the first till I see some proof. 😂
OG aand Sour don't do the same under LED all the new gelato and candy strains do
It is just Chemdawg seeds from Amsterdam .Cool Thanks !
His stories changed on every pod cast he’s done….
I was thinking the same thing lol.
Yall dont know tho. I personally know the people hes speaking on and what hes saying is deff true to his knowledge. They still have that same old school sour in portland Oregon at a dispensary named Archive. Its a cross called SoCo and that's the closest I've ran across. I'll be taking a trip soon to go give them a visit.
I miss the flex I used to have back in the 2010s I had the best bud connects in Georgia! Can't find those super strong strains much anymore
Buddy used to grow NYPD a few years and it was straight fire!!!
1985 NL#5&BubbleGum....!
yes great strains
Bubblegum and Durban Poison were the mainstay Indica & Sativa respectively that the Hells Angels grew in Southern Ontario, Canada from like 1990-2005
The flavours were incredible from skilled growers. People could smell the Bubblegum in your pocket from damn near 20ft away! And the Durban tasted like Fruit Loops
We called this the duh coming from indiana
I always thought it was indiana bogs bubble or double bubble crossed NL1

It's always weird and inconsistent because I find some 9/10 stuff at regular price, then find some 6/10 stuff at premium price.

@@Tocinosliterally same, my dispensary does deals on 1/8s so you can pick out different strains and get a deal on an O, the stuff I got from the lower priced 1/8s were way better than the premium brand 1/8s.

Back 6 months ago, I got a 3.5g of Choka Cola at regular price, having heard good things about it, but not really expecting much. The look of it was very clean, and the smell was very much like the sweet spice of a root beer. After trying a few bowls of it, this is where I finally started to understand what reviewers mean when they say the burn is perfect. 10:22 the moment he lights up a new joint while still holding the other one in the other hand. other's have their own joint, he got his two.. i should start that as well with a purple haze and an orange bud,,
I sold about a million dollars worth of this product between 2008-2011. It was legitimately better than any bud around and was well worth the $6000+ per pound price point. No other bud can truly say that.

@viciousjerm I lost my mother plant of sour that I had since 2002 in about 2010.... it was one of the worst days of my life
i know the dude who was growing the sour that AJ was pushing back then, funny he doesnt ever say he wasnt the grower he was just the hustler and front man, the sour is still alive the albany crew still has the same cut and they still grow it, its not what we remember from back in 05-07 anymore though, it doesnt have the skunky smell anymore
the problem is that back in the day they were growing the sour in closets and basements and they didnt have perfect environmentals and sealed rooms with ACs pumping, everyone thinks the sour needs cold, it actually is the other way around the sour needs heat and sulfur to smell the way we used to remember, back in the day everyone used sulfur and nobody used ACs the temp was alwways near 80 degrees. thats all u need to do to get fire sour, flower at 80-82 constant temp with constant low humidity 40-45rH and use heavy sulfur and nitrogen thru vedge and early flower and cut off the nitrogen and flush with potash of sulfate not plain water. do a very quick dry no cure and u will have the most skunk smell possible
