In India the chances of being taped are way higher especially for women and few people even shower properly. There are wild animals walking all over the place and Delhi for example smells rotten.

In the summer of 1997 we travelled by train from Zahedan (Iran) to Quetta (Pakistan) through Baluchistan, just south of Afghanistan: 28 hours, hard sleepers and it was very hot and dusty. After just one day in Quetta we took another train to Rawalpindi/Islamabad via the Bolan Pass, the Indus Valley and Lahore. This time 36 hours, NO sleepers (we lay down on our backpacks) and it was hot, dusty and very humid.

I traveled to Quetta by train once in my life from Punjab Province to Quetta back in 1998. The journey was hell in the hot month of June. The landscape was amazing so overall it was a journey to remember. Now in my late 40s, I would never take that train again.

Not sure why except to say you've been there. Nothing there but a small native village. Can't even walk around it as the cliffs are near vertical on most of it.
This is brilliant stuff - Really reminds me of travelling through Malaysia by train and then by coach in the early '90's and also the Phillipines. Your'e bus and ferry travels are great to watch to and I think, very funny. I remember that when journeys were really long and uncomfortable and then the aircon system broke down so we were sweating buckets the whole way, I never minded because I valued the experience, and the company of the people of the country, who I always loved meeting and talking to. Great stuff, keep them coming. 😀🤣
