- We came to Quetta, a city located in the region of Balochistan in Pakistan. This region is advised against all travel for foreigners because of its high risk of dangerous activities that usually occur. But was there a side to this city other than danger? Myself @SimonWilson12 and @baldandbankrupt came here to see for ourselves what it was really like... it didn't end well.

It was hilarious when local tried giving them ride on the bike, Ben said mate is that your camera poking me from behind and Simon was like "No"😂😂. Pressed up very closely behind me 😅. If I can summarize, youtube audience love to get drawn to this type of content, so here he is giving them that. At 4:15 ben said" I don't feel any danger at all, I actually feel quite safe as the people are super friendly"
Security forces were just making sure you stay safe from foreign elements in that region due to one of world's largest deposit of rare metals, minerals, oil and gold reserves in this area other then that whole pakistan is wide open. Peace and good luck ben.

Ben don't lose hope. It's like northern Ireland for uk😂 back in the day however locals were nice, smiling n welcoming to you guys. Security forces were not like Russia who would harras and put you in jail or banned you like Russians did to bald, tell me a single country name where security forces would be so concern about your safety and made sure to give you non stop escort out of danger zone. You didn't get treated badly or out of the ordinary it just anytime any foreigner come visit quetta you become their responsibility due to cross border targeting. I remember you have been told even by locals on train and when you say danger it's not danger like yorkshire or bradford in uk where you will be mugged or stabbed for few pounds. Security forces dealing with whole other beast from cross borders. This whole region is super rich with rare minerals, oil and gold reserves and had been the target of foreign entities. So don't lose hope as you got so much love from pakistanis all around and big boost to your channel since you first visited pakistan. Damn I do not believe I have ever seen Mr. Bald & Ben swear in unison on a trip. Wishing you guys lots of luck where ever you next go to. Consider Canada, we a desert in the Yukon, polar bears are spotted as far south in Manitoba and gargantuan trees in British Columbia. In my hometown we got four or five golf courses on of them been knocking around since the 1800s too. Love you guys!

Pro Travel tip:Speaking in Urdu to the Police /Army in the border areas of Pakistan isnt the brightest idea for a White man,it only strengthens their suspicion that u are a trained Western/Jewish spy.
Speak to them in English only and pretend that u don’t understand a word they are saying and they will likely let u go 😅

Ben! I apologize for the uncomfortable experience in this city. Yes, this city is crazy and also risky for tourist and very few tourists visit here because it's unpopular and secondly, it's dangerous. You guys should have contacted a local tourist guide here, before visiting Quetta. This is where I live, and I also avoid going to the main city as much as I can because it really is crazy and risky city. But the people here are mostly friendly. I am very glad that you took the risk and visited my city, but I do apologize for the bad experience you and Mr. Bald had to go through here.
Quetta city has a lot of history related with British government. This city was first built by the British army. Those who don't know about that history should check it out on google or wiki.
I think the areas in northern Pakistan are closed for tourist in this season because of the snowfalls, land-sliding risks or road-blockages. But I am not 100% sure about that.
Ur slave mentality would not help anyone, quetta is one of the safest place in balochistan now they did that to get views only.

Recommend heading to Skardu area if you want to see Northern Pakistan (and the big mountains) this was our start point before we trekked to K2 BC and Gondogoro La.
I've been to Pakistan and enjoyed it. As your video showed the people are among the friendliest and most hospitable you'll encounter anywhere. The food is fantastic.
I definitely wouldn't have even considered heading to the part of it you went to at the present time though!

A great video and another amazing adventure. One thing I did notice was I didn't see any women at all. I am glad you didn't get into the vehicle when the two young men asked you to go with them. I am sure (well, almost) that they were just excited to spend some time with you, but you just never know. Everyone was so kind to you and I know you had to leave Quetta, but they were obviously very worried about your safety. Bald looked like a giant at the bus station! Very wearing, I can see, but I am glad you and Bald are safe.

Always surprises me how these guys have travelled to over 50 countries yet can't figure out simple fruits and vegetables. Either they get so overwhelmed at the moment and their brain shuts down or just ignorance. I'll give them credit and stick to the first option.
Yes I was going to point it out about the dried figs. I've seen them sold like that in a number of places even in Europe.

The streets you guys were hovering around were nothing less then slums Mexico city few years back , you guys should have gone to Allamdar road side of Quetta, totally different vibes there . Heaps of dual citizens from Europe and Australia.
At 10:30 the rickshaw driver wasn't say two zero he was telling you the name of the road (TOGHI ROAD)
When army told you two to leave Quetta, you could have requested them and taken a flight from Quetta to Karachi or Islamabad, instead of back breaking bus journey

Many other travelers to Pakistan with van or motorcycle had the same nightmare with police escorts. It's not just about tension with Iran, military of Pakistan wants to have an eye on all travelers all the time and it's so annoying.
I get why they do it but it’s to much and to extremely slow. Takes way to much time and they don’t seem to get it.
For most of them.
Pakistan was their transit country and didn't want to stay longer in pakistan. As soon as they get neighboring country visa they left.
They know it was too dangerous to visit pakistan.
