Some of Pakistan's Railway lines used to be electrified, before neglect, economic trouble and vandalism meant they had to largely be dismantled. Maybe the poles at 11:14 are remnants of that?
Edit: One of my replies says it's water filling infrastructure.
Those are meant for filling of water in coaches .
Pakistan had electrified line just in the small sectionbetween lahore and khanewal on lahore karachi line
@@sayan1475 Ah cool! Thanks for correcting!

I cant help comparing with the massive strides Indian railways have made lately with electrification and station reconstruction
Indian railways is continously improving. In past few years our railway budget has increased exponentially
Also our government made brilliant move, they made dedicated freight corridor so current railway infrastructure won't be affected also they'll make another dedicated high-speed corridor so
In future you'll see
1. Normal tracks.
2. Freight tracks.
3. High-speed tracks side by side
Indian Railways have systems in place to offer good clean service. But rude and disgusting behaviour of general public fail them. But there is continuous effort from Govt and Railway to improve and cleanliness. Little support from Public can turn Indian Railways to super service. Ironically the same public behave incredibly disciplined and clean when they take a Flight to travel. This sudden behaviour change always puzzles me.
The room comes with free protein, how considerate.

lndians can't joke about that bro 💀💀 it's not like you're Swiss. your country is just a bit better than Pakistan but that's it
Why does it look like the station was built on a landfill 😭
My dad worked for British Rail in the 60s and 70s. That meant free rail travel for me right up to my early 20s! Went everywhere, from Aberdeen to Southampton in 80s and 90s. They were the days. Most of my classmates in my small town in the middle of nowhere could never fathom where I'd been over the weekend.
The metal detector gate seems a joke when you could enter the station via the car park and presumably alps by walking along the tracks.
Those passengers who missed where they kept their keys and coins , in pockets of jeans they wear, will use the metal detector gate. It is the luxury offered by the NEW COUNTRY, BORN ONLY IN 1947. THEIR FUTURE VISION IS FOR 2047 .
Excellently covered. The roaches problem is too much in PR as due to shortage of coaches, proper fumigation couldn't take place. Two trains on empress bridge at same time was unique.. Even though traveling many times through Empress bridge, I wasn't lucky to have that action yet.
1:32 hahaha though the security guards were busy having a chat so i left them to it hhahahahaah
You are very brave!
Given the population of Pakistan why does nobody clean anything or pick up the mountains of garbage? Yuck!
They hava a long way to go.
simple Karachi funds don't get spend on Karachi maintenance .
Way it is in these places,
Govt gets tax (57% of income tax i hear) from Karachi but its votes dont matter. Hence karachi is thoroughly ignored.
No investment in providing services by the government .only a minority of people actually pay tax
The steel frame around the train at the platform is for refilling the water in the train coaches. This sort of set-up is very common in Indian subcontinent. Hope that helps!
Hi. Last video from Pakistan and then no sign of life. I hope you are well, Superalbs.
I used to think Indian Railways was bad with its delays and chaos, but after seeing the state of Pakistani Railways, it feels like luxury! 🚂 At least our trains usually show up, and the stations don't look like ruins. Suddenly, our trains seem much better than I thought! 😅👏
India didnt spend all their money in their military, they actually built things for the general public, which is why they got better stability
You watched a video and it provided value to your existence. It made your life worth living.
@@someguygaming9248 In Pakistan, govt doesn't spend money on army, army itself extracts all the money possible by itself. Not just budgetary provisions, but they control a huge portion of economy, and that money, which would have gone to people, goes to army.

When you said that room was business class I nearly pissed myself laughing and wondered if that is what you get for a premium fare I would hate to see what the plebs were travelling in
I like the niche you fill. Most people take the exotic/luxury/normal trip. I admire that you opt for off the track routes/trains. It gives a more organic aspects of train travel across the world. By biggest surprise was the bribe for your room (not this episode). Hope you keep it up.
Pakistan railways proves that you can get even a train by begging. Bravo pakistan.
You are the pinnacle of human civilization. Humanity is extremely proud of this awesome achievement.
Though they might not meet international standards, Indian railways are still far superior to those in Pakistan. Considering that this is Pakistan's second-biggest and one of its most significant cities, those platforms and tracks are abhorrent. It is really disgusting, and there is really no need to sugarcoat things. I am hoping perhaps the Pakistani army can bring about changes for the betterment of their people.
Pakistan railway is like a time capsule. One of the reasons that I watch vlogs from Pakistan, especially about trains is that I get to see how trains in India would have been just after partition.
Also, we are far ahead of Pakistan in terms of infrastructure (or rather Pak is so far behind) that a comparison almost seems futile to make .
Why not look at your own backyard? Many Indian railway stations are filled with rubbish, though not at the similar levels of Pakistan, but still significant. 2021 built locomotives look like they're running for decades, you can check it yourselves with a video on India's supposedly 'High-speed' train called gatiman
@@engineeredarmy1152
Most of your statements (although not entirely baseless) seem heavily extrapolated. There has been a significant improvement in cleanliness/ maintenance & general upkeep. The third largest railway network on the world cannot be improved in mere years.
Where I agree with you is: India definitely has a long road ahead in railways to be comparable with EU/ other SE Asian regions.
That's the whole point behind my comment about why it's futile to Compare Indian railways with Pakistan Railways. (As a railway enthusiast, I wish to see Pakistan Railways improve as well, why wouldn't I?)
Exactly how does the mention of Indian Railways come in this 🤷🏽♀️
Indian railways are disgusting too. I was at Madgaon last year and the whole platform was crawling with cockroaches. They were crawling everywhere, we had to carry our luggage on our backs. The outskirts of most cities are lined with garbage and putrid sewers. Train toilets, don't get me started. You are not winning any cleanliness prize, that's for sure.

I'm genuinely surprised by the stark difference compared to Indian trains and stations, even though ours aren't that modern. I suppose this is what happens when a country's economy is collapsing and the military is in control.

The metal frames house a water supply pipe. They are used to fill up the water tanks in coaches. The train stations with such facilities are also known as watering stations and are usually major stations. They can be fould all across India and Pakistan. Although indian trains have filling pointsvlocated under the carriage and the water filling happens from the side and not the top.

The cables on the metal frame look to be possibly telephone wires. When we lived up in the hills of Perth (Western Australia) in the 80's & 90's, the ground was basically all rock and the telephone lines were strung up under the power lines and had similar conductors/resistors or whatever those things are called. Predictably, being close to the power lines, the call quality was not the best and always has a "hiss" during conversations. Our gas for cooking was delivered in giant 45kg bottles and we had a twin bottle set up and sewerage was 2 giant soak wells which had be be emptied by a truck. The only thing they really blasted through the rock up there was the water pipes
