Nice informative content. In next 12 months I am considering buying my first EV, I've got my top 3 which is: Volvo EX30, Tesla Model Y (Project Juniper) and Renault Scenic E-tech. Which one you suggest to strongly consider?
Thanks! I think to MY offers more space and range compared to the EX30. It more comparable to the XC40/C40 than the EX30, bear that in mind. Same as the scenic e-tech. If not such a Volvo fan, I would opt for the MY out of these 3 I think...
You can find an employee almost new V60 from Volvo Selekt with all the options you want but way cheaper than a new one. I bought an S60 like that for -20000€ with 13000 km, but you can find it with even less mileage.
Good suggestion. I'm very sure my, hopefully, next Volvo's will all be 'second hand' as the depreciation on my C40 is just ridiculous! Thanks for watching 🙂
@@thom-lov I've seen 2-3 months old Volvos with -15k from their new price and less the 5k mileage
I talked to my dealership here in my country and they said I have to wait like 9 months for the car to arrive and that's when I decided to buy a second hand one :))

@@thom-lov I leased our Polestar 2 LRDM after TCAM Issues and having low voltage battery brick it once... I'm glad that it will go back May 2025... Looking at XC60 with Volvo Overseas Delivery. $3000 deposit gets the trip to Gothenburg, hotel and you can drive in Europe. Drop off at a port and return after vacation...

I forgot you canceled your V60.....bummer! I just had t cancel my EX30 order ☹ Now I'm looking for a used car with not too high of mileage.....maybe a Volvo....but need something thats gonna be super reliable....that's not always the case with older Volvo's....lol. I'll be sad to turn my XC40 back in this spring when lease is up...oh well life doesn't always go the way you want it to..
Sorry to hear you had to cancel your car!! Curious what you will eventually take. In the end, it's just a Volvo, hopefully you get everything sorted soon. Take care!!
I have bought four brand-new Volvos over the years, but probably never again -- because of Volvo and Polestar blindly and unwisely following the Tesla example of doing away with physical buttons/switches, putting things in the touchscreen that should not be accessed via delving into sub-menus with eyes off the road for long periods while driving (unsafe), getting ever-worse instrument panels with less-and-less useful information for the driver, putting too much glass in the roof without option for an all-metal roof, and doing very-user-unfriendly electronically receding door handles. Most of these really deduct from the safety of Volvos and Polestars. Very sad. And Volvo also appears to have abandoned their historical stand-out line of lifted wagons in the plug-in era, which is also a huge negative in my book.
Beyond awful reliability, to much weight, far to much, inefficiënt EV motors, rust, etc etc. Modern Volvo's are not worth the badge.
Was a Volvo owner for decades, 200, 700, 900, 850glt, v70, s80. But never ever Volvo again!
That’s a nice line up of Volvos, sorry to hear the new one isn’t your thing. Luckily the old Volvos can go quite some years 😉
