love this tank!!! Just started my pico budget reef build myself!
Found your channel from inappropriate reefer love the nano tank nice video:)
Jose Carattini Vega ayyyy 🙌 thanks for the support
will the box work on aquaclear 20...?
KEN rOSECRANS I’m not entirely sure... because the AQ20 might not pull enough water out as the water flows into the skimmer box. So the surface skimming won’t be as effective
Love it man, the 5g tank is turning out beautifully! Will you be adding some magnet mounts to the side for more coral mounting spots?
Inappropriate Reefer that’s genius! Didn’t even think of putting corals on the side... time to go find more old powerhead magnets laying around 😅
Nice video! Thanks for the update! Inspiring me to maybe start budget nano tank...maybe...😅✌🏽
Debokkle New year. New tank! Lesssgoo!! Haha.
99% of pico reef tanks look bad to me, but yours is actually gorgeous!! I love how you did the aquascape. And it looks so neat without the unsightly huge ass wavemaker that every small reef tank has.
Would this filter be perfect for a 10 gallon
Light blue background and normal lighting. Tank looks ridiculous
With the filter pump being outside the tank, I assume you lose your siphon if power gets cut?
For first time start whith 5 gallons is good petco told me you need $250 tank I told him I am just want to learn first whith small tank after big tank 😂😂😂
Do you test the water for calcium and alkalinity? I’m very new to saltwater and I’m very confused
What a lovely looking display! Subbed
Chris Groves really appreciate it 🙏
Hey, love the tanks and how passionate you are about the hobby. I got bit by the saltwater bug last year and have been addicted ever since. My question to you is on a 5 gallon reef would doing water changes every 3 days be too much? It's a very small amount of water. Just some advice no judgement here I'm looking for your opinion.
beautiful tank!!! You inspired me to start my nano! check er' out on my channel :D
Awesome! I may do something like this with a 5 gallon that I have been thinking about changing for freshwater to a small reef
Brian's Fish Tanks 👍👍 join the dark side 🤓
Would 200watt lighting be too much for a 10 gallon? Just wondering cus I have a 200 watt grow light and thought I can use it to grow coral that require high amounts of light
Where do you get the magnetic surface skimmer box from bro??
Awesome, for some reason i was unsubscribe, i subsribe again, keep on going!
Aqua Splendor thank you! 🙏🙏
Hope u re-launch this channel! It’s great!
Buy from eBay is pretty cheap 🥰🥰
What website of coral available here in the Philippines? :'(
You use the 70 for extra flow? I have a 30 on my 9 gallon reef aquarium with a small powerhead. Do you think I should upgrade to a 70?
Great video man. So simple, yet effective! Just subbed 👊🏻
Why do you put the heater in the filter? Shouldn't it be inside the tank?
Would love to know where you got the bargains. I can’t find those prices. I looked through amazon and all were more than you noted. I gotta find those prices. Where did you get the stuff.
What could I put in a five gallon long term?
I love too its my dreamm uhhhh
Where did you go?
Love this nano build, I'm trying to start my own now with your inspiration and instructions. I just have one question, have u had any issues with the heater in the filter? Like melting plastic or with the pads, bio media? Thanks in advance!🤓
What kind of water u use for the tank
Do u have to have power head wave maker for a 5 Gal?
Can you put the cost of your corals too
Did this tank crash
Love 💕 your tank, also great idea of using the overflow box.
Where the updates?
What salt do you use
5 gallons is pico
come back :(
Inspiring a lot of people ! Keep up the great work!!
Thank you my man 🙏
That’s an awesome tank!
I keep discus fish but have bought 90% of bits for a 6 gallon rounded nano tank. This video is inspiring me to get my tank setup. The corals you have and setup are really nice. 😎👌 Thanks
Austin Smith thank you! Hope you get that tank up soon 🙌
Love it!! Alternative lighting and filtration choices for a 10 gallon? Would i need a larger heater as well?
Ryan Riley same heater, filtration, and lighting can be used as well 👍👍
Love it!
I like this reef tank but you should do more updates on all of your tanks
Jose Madrigal 👆👆 I’m going to get on that! Thank youuu for the reminder 😅
Looks awesome. I like that heater.
ReefSpy yeah! It’s a great heater 👍👍
Love the over flow idea 👍
Absolutely gorgeous
Are you still around? Miss your vids
Totally still around! But life with kiddos have taken most of my time 😅
This is such a gorgeous Pico reef! I've just started building one myself. 😊
can i do this for Kessil A360WE light too??? if i want 20gallons tank? thanks
Just curious how many have started a budget nano? I started a 10 gal and I wish I could say it cost me $200 but I’m up to $700 with 5 basic coral ($220 at lfs about $120 over priced that’s my fault) and 2 black clowns ($80 from petco) so about $400 for just the rocks sand lighting and tank. $100 of that is for black box full spectrum light and $80 of it is for tunze ato.
Awesome lil tank.....details on how you mounted the monticap on the glass????
Jobet Q ah! I just took an old Hydor powerhead laying around and used its magnets. A dab of super glue and done! 👍
@@MightyNanoTank cool, after posting comment, i looked online and found magnetic frag plugs. I'm plan to do the same thing. Inappropriate Reefer did something similar with his space invader but i couldn't find his video. You two are by far my favorite nano tank youtubers. I appreciate your videos my man 👍
Jobet Q truly humbled and really appreciate it 🙏
@@MightyNanoTank thats genius lol will be stealing that idea for sure
Hey your alternative link to the lights is bad too. Can you give me the dimensions of the lights?
My ricordea is shrinking!!! Do you know why i also have a pico reef
That’s the best looking 5 gallon reef tank I’ve seen
The corals colors under this lighting is extrodinary
I can't stand a tank without some sort of substrate, but wow, this tank is beautiful. I'm happy to know that this is a project anyone can do on a budget. This really improves my confidence on startin Saltwater again. Shoot, I may start planning it soon! Long term budget is my problem because I live in Alabama. What is the size of your Hang-On-Back?
On innaprropriate reefer's channel you said if your pumps to strong on an aio the back filter would get low. Does it push more water in the display area and would topping it off overflow the display?
I was not expecting A guest appearance from none other then inappropriate reefer!!! Big fan, I’m also digging the nano build! Great job hope to see an update....
Bro please post something new been waiting for some reason I got unsubscribed love your IG stuff the mini complete I wanted to win so bad I entered both but just my luck . I I love this 5 gallon you have here my granddaughter wants it so bad she ask me to check it out all the time to see if you are doing a giveaway so she can try again she wants to work with fish and coral when she gets older! Keep up the great work we love your stuff hope you do something new soon!
Anyone know what corals these are? My speakers are shot.
Wish ya would make more vids. You are the reason I got in the hobby 4 years ago with a nano.
You should make an update video on this aquarium so we can see how much this aquarium flourished!! Well that's if you still have it.
New suscriber here! Really cute tank! Good idea with the gsp. I am going to put purple star polyp on my back glass and try to keep it trimmed down. I saw it done at a lfs on a sculpture and all you could see was the glowing green polps and it looked like lights. The purple blends in so thats all that stands out! Its a shame that light isnt being sold. It is really making coral pop. What other colors do you have on with the blue? looks amazing!
A great setup, obviously working for you but I am curious about how safe a heater in the HOB filter is.
I noticed your water level is a little low. Are you able to get the water level up behind the rim and still skim with the magnetic box? It looks like you are almost up to the top of the slots on the oceanbox skimmer box.
Awesome vid u gotta upload more👍
Looks super nice , packed for a 5 gallon.
Super nice and neat Reef coral small tank!👍
that skimmer box is ingenious
will the box fit my jbj i have power filter...
great video! what is the tall, purplish tree-like coral at the back?
nice tank i want to set up a nano reef for my wifes office how is that tank holding up now 1 1/2 yrs later just curious .
Fantastic job 🎉😊
what filter did you use to film?
What about a glass lid to help with salinity?
what is function heater in salt water
Hi brother... really like your nano tank.. I have some questions if you don’t mind please advice. 1. Are you doing any dosing? 2 . How you are changing the water weekly??
No wave maker or head pump?
Such a beautiful tank
Where the hell did you go!!!!
Wat kind of blasto???
Divine ref aquarium
Beautiful tank!
aquaclear 50 i mean..
Nice setup bro... do an update please! I'm working on a 5 gallon cube and i want to see how is it going!
Thanks for sharing
Make more videos
I Don't understand salt water yet. why dont you have a substrate? Love this though!
Alex S I just wanted my corals to grow on the bottom glass is all.
@@MightyNanoTank ok! That makes a lot of sense.
@@alexs3890 to explain deeper, corals don't grow like plants they get all nutrients out of the water nothing from substrates. So sand is only for fish and inverts in many aquariums. Others use it to prop up coral bases as well. It can also be used as a type of filter to collect detritus.
@@L3G3NDARYK1LL3R thank you
Fantastic aquarium!
update soon?
update??
Nice !!!!
Nice tank
My 2 gallon pico tank total $90( lights , filtration ,heater and jar)
Cali Fishliving all about that budget 🙌🙌
Good job!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wow. Very cool tank! I must have a misconception of gorgonians... I've always understood them to be a difficult coral to keep but I see yours looking very happy in a basic setup. Any advice on their needs or requirements? Maybe I should stop putting off their addition to my tank! I thought they needed a constant supply of plankton for food being an NPS coral...
That is a photosynthetic gorgonian. They can be easy, the non photosynthetic ones are extremely difficult to keep alive.
LOL
Do you need to worry about the corals out growing the tank?
Ronnie Stoneburner eventually! But that would be kind of fun to have the tank densely packed
Nice tank keep it up just need help i have gsp for few months and itdoesnt seem to spread over the rock i sticked it
mohammed alshamali hmmm. And lighting and flow is okay?
