I found your content on my Mums saved playlist... The only one listed... She passed away 1st July 2023... I've been watching you for years as a hobbie... (HEAVY DONATION INCOMING) Thank you!!! I had no idea she was a fan. From London... If only I knew...
About thirty years ago, I collected Live Rock from all over the world. There were no restrictions of any kind then. The life on and within was literally beyond astonishing. You never really needed to purchase any varieties of life as it was either there in full bloom right in front of you or shortly to appear. Owing to it's Reef nature the Rock was literally a self perpetuating genesis of continuous life of every variety. Years would pass and new delightful surprises would make their debut. For a very long time, that's all I kept and enjoyed. SPS corals were my first love; hundreds of gorgeous branching rainbows. Pico tanks at that time were only beginning to be mastered and popular. Back then, when salt water communities were relatively new (Reefs even far more so), the hobby was expensive. At that time, virtually anything and everything was available. It was a dream for a Life Science's major. Cephalopods were my second love, followed by exotic (and very dangerous) denizens. One very successful set-up was only fifteen gallons; but I kept a forty gallon sump directly behind it (one of Rock-only and plants). The variety and size comparisons of species from then vs now is remarkable. I don't really know how things are now, but back then maintaining varying different water specifics and stasis was a near full time job. I haven't a single memory of that wonderful time that wasn't both an educational and extremely satisfying joy.
I love the pico tank, its so colorful.I just stocked my nuvo fusion 10 and i added a mushroom, a small zoa frag and a Duncan. Ive been keeping fish for 5 years but only fresh water. My Duncan looks likes its growing new heads. I love the way it sways in the current. Saltwater may be my new addiction. 😂
hello. a couple of questions. 1: What do you gain from using arsgonite in the aquarium pus? 2: Do you do partial water changes every week? How much is recommended? 3: still put together a garden of zoas. Should I use aragonite or can I do it with bara bottom?
I watch your videos all the time and I love them. I just have one question I work at a town for two weeks at a time. Would you set up a saltwater aquarium? And yes I do have an ATO but no one else at home to take care of the tank while I’m gone
Very cute system. My Studio 12 has been doing great. Just have to design and 3d print an anemone guard for the overflow since I had a stubborn anemone block the whole overflow this morning.
I think as small tanks become more common the size that is defined as Pico gets smaller too. For me Pico is usually 4 gallons or less, but I see everything under 10 gallons, or the smallest size tank a company sells, defined as Pico.
As someone with multiple pico tanks, I have found both tanks that are taller (rather than wider) and some sort of solid lid are key to preventing obscene amounts of evaporation. Have you tried adding a lid to the tank? Might help reduce the amount you need for top-off
That's funny, back in 2004, random people in the internet would've shredded you for keeping a clown in a 6. Everything was a standard 40 gallon MINIMUM.
You can find this tank at www.reefcasa.com

Do you get a lot of algae on the glass?

What is the size of this aquarium?
What is the size of the fish tank?

be careful about the sun light , algae
Rock flower lagoon
Pico = mouth of a bird (in Spanish)
Pico means beak
I can not deicide if I want the 6 flat or 9 flat. -______-
9!
Less than 8 gallons to be considered a pico, in my opinion.
Im with ya
Big fan of JW Black? Haha.
its blue 😅!
@@fragboxcorals If it's blue label, all frags are free forever! Love the tank, though.
Pico is anything under 5g to me and anything above 5g under ~25g is nano
Let me get 10% off the studio. That “DREAMSTATE” code expired, but want the studio bad.
Im curious what an expensive home is to you? It’s a Very subjective feeling from what I can tell and housing is off the wall in every urban setting 👎
