The pets at home near me is great they no longer sell reptiles which I’m thankful for but no reptile ever looked unhappy unhealthy or uncared for and the staff knew everything .
The fact that I walked into the reptile section and saw a bearded dragon on sand told me all I needed to know. If I ever see an unhealthy reptile, I will not hesitate to speak to the manager. I’m 14 and know more than a lot of the workers.

Lies😔sadly my Guinea pig passed away because of cancer he had a visible lump on him head when we bought him we asked if he was okay and they said yes he's fine he was born like that! Later we took him to the vets and they diagnosed him with a brain tumour and got put down😭 I've had multiple fish from there and they've all died from white spot disease! Come on pets at home! Pay more attention to ur bloody animals ur meant to be a pet store that's loves and looks after pets!

Bullshit. I bought myself a beautiful little ball python who i luckily noticed the day i took him home that he had a clear respiratory infection. Now this infection wasn't an internal thing, it wasn't hard to see, the poor little guy was blowing literal bubbles out his nose and mouth. The shop also didn't know what size of mouse he was eating, or the last time he ate. They also had no idea about the humidity required for a ball python. Just ridiculous. And to think Without the veterinary attention that i got for him he would have died. Awful for a company who have actual vets inside their building.
I was at pets at home trying to get a Halloween masked leopard gecko he said he had them then pulled out a rainwater albino He tried selling us a crested gecko tank I’m sure this is just the worker but I’m gonna buy my gecko at jolly’s
once I bought 1 guinea pig then a few months later bought another one they didn't tell me that the cage was too small for 2 and soon the second one died

I went for a interview at pets at home yesterday and cant sell or give advice on any small animal till ive completed a 6 month training course and once completed that can start a reptile one that goes on for 9 months. Using the excuse saying your a child is ridiculous, your not old enough to buy a live animal so that means a adult did for you. So they are just as stupid as you for allowing their child to get a animal they haven't researched. In today's age of the internet advice on how to keep animals "properly" is widely available and free. Also no you shouldn't learn everything from the person selling the animal to you as everyone has different options you should be getting it from multiple sources. On the case of your cage being to small, if you had told them the size they would of said no. My mum bought fish from them and refused to sell more than one due to the size of the tank. As for your pet boa, why do you have a boa when you cant even look after a guinea pig?

In the U.K. and when I go their to get new fish for my community tank I always see dead fish. And since the last time I saw dead fish with fungus especially guppies. I stopped buying from there. So..... I don't think this women is actually right of what she's saying.. and I'm going there again this Friday coming up to see if there's still dead fish. If the fish are left in the water with the other fish that would cause diseases and eventually wipe out the whole tank.

I actually made a grave for him. Also rip my fish, but I don't know why your Guinea pigs had ringworm. EDIT: I also edited a few sentences so it made sense ^_^

Pets at homes caring about animals lmao I got 2 bueatful rat from pets at homes when I was at the pet shop getting them the man getting them squashed the brown one and was really hurting her she was really hurt luckily my black and white one was laid back so he got her quick the fact is he injured my rat ! Unfortunately due to petsathomes never holding the animals because they are buissie gossiping so the animals think they are wild also due to the man grabbing and hurtin my brown rat elsa she became aggressive and was cutting up my hands and my parent hands due to the amount of neglect she received at pets at homes she though people were bad and protected her sister from me even holding her elsa was terrified and skidish after the experience she had unfortunately she became way too aggressive and I had to take my babies back :( I was so heart broken that they were being sent back there because although pets at homes say they care thy don't I went back dozens of times to see if they were for adoption an they never were eventually I came to the conclusion they had killed her because it is hard to rehome an aggressive pet another reason I know it is through neglect is because it is very rare for rats to be aggressive it's a shame because they were wonderful rats and didn't deserve what pets at homes Did to them southampton petsathomes did this :(
Dude my one of my hamsters had parasites, got infected & died within a month & the other one had a freshly lost foot, got a cyst on its head & died at the same time as the other one. Don't buy from pets at home, get from pets4homes
Wild horses 937 not all animals are infected and diseased, all the stores are individually owned, so maybe it's just your store, because mine is fine and to those saying it isn't in partnership with the RSPCA, it has collection tins for them, it's their default charity (for vip's (Very Important Pets club) and hands out mini RSPCA booklets for your pet

The animals are treated awfully at my local pets at home there were dying baby fish we told them and they said oh well
They act like they care about there fish u have to totally explain urself to them and sign papers and the workers are pushy and irritating
