July 2024 Monthly Webinar: The Value of Investing in Girls' Education

While impressive gains have been made in girls' primary and secondary education relative to boys in the Global South, there are still significant gender gaps in education, especially in remote, rural areas and countries impacted by fragility, conflict, and violence.
Guatemala was devastated by the 36-year-long Guatemalan Civil War, and the resulting poverty, coupled with inequalities in gender and ethnicity, created significant obstacles to Maya Ixil girls’ education and empowerment today.
After our successful partnership with Limitless Horizons Ixil (LHI) in 2017, we’re partnering again this year to support LHI's new secondary school and enable Maya Ixil girls to continue in their education and build the confidence and skills necessary to pursue their dreams.
