Great evolution of your system. I'd like to see close ups of it to see exactly how the stitching and attachments are. Of course if you're going to consider producing some for sale, I might take three. 👍🏼 Thanks for sharing, Scott
So glad I saw this video. I was about to buy all kinds of gadgets and hardware to get into saddle hunting. You have saved me hundreds of dollars. Thank you
What advantage is there to the thigh loop over just using your saddle? Seems like you could do this with just the saddle and a foot loop. What am I missing? Thanks
Probably the best and cheapest system there is . Scott the saddle you use is it also selfmade. Would you share more details of the saddle. Brilliant system. I build the same and it works great.
Really like this system. Guessing you did tree work. Very cool you're not showing spiking every tree because I can't stand that. I actually left asplundh because they would spike every tree. I ended up going to private work and learning how they really climb trees that aren't being taken down.
Scott, I have watched all of your videos. Are you willing to share how you made your climbing system? I have hunted from traditional ladder stands all my life. Your system eliminates the need , it is awesome and I would like to make or purchase the items to have my own..thanks for sharing, very educational!
Nice system, I read your reply to a guy who said you should sell them. Don't worry about patent. Waste of time n money. Just build them n sell them. I would absolutely buy one from you. I archery elk hunt in Wyoming and wind is everything in elk hunting. I love to hunt black forests that's where the elk burry themselves during the day. The wind in the mountains is constantly swirling. We hunt anywhere from 3 to 7 miles back in and obviously weight is an issue. It's 7,000 to 9,000 ft in elevation. I'm going to use a tree saddle this coming season and I don't want the weight or bulkyness of climbing sticks. How do I contact you to purchase this if your interested. I would also just pay you for a detailed material list if you don't want to hassle with building n selling them. Obviously your time is worth money and either way I have no problem paying a reasonable price. Looking forward to your reply. Signed the elkaholic.
I'm quickly falling in love with this, but one question. Why the thigh strap on the one side? couldn't you use a foot loop on both sides?? Great stuff!
Awesome! I like how you upgraded everything. How about if you run into branches and have to manuever around them? The only other disadantage I could see, is if the tree is too big you won't be able to get up it. Climbing smaller diameter trees is fine and there is usually no shortage of them. Thanks for Video! Nice quick and efficient way of jumping in the Woods for nice, stealthy hunt!
Thanks for the comment. You're right, I do limit the diameter of the trees I climb to 24". I also have a video that shows how I work around limbs. If you'd like, you can go to my blog on Facebook. Just search two tether climbing system. Thanks
Like many I have been following the evolution of this system. I'm an engineer and soon after I saw you first video, I started sketching the simplest and most ideal system I could think of using this concept. And here you have nailed almost every bullet point I could come up with. Great work!. If you decide to put together a parts list, we would all love to see it. On the navigating of branches. Did you say you use your bridge as a linesman loop? or do you move the bridge to the second tether as you move the first?
By tomorrow there should be a new video out just addressing the limb issue. I have put a couple previous videos out where I indicate what size tethers you need, how big of prusik lines you need, the leg loop and the foot loop requires more detail and most people don't have access to industrial sewing machines. I am considering selling those. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comments.
@@scottadkins3771 Checked out your vid on going around limbs. Brilliant use of the bridge. The system is really efficient. Have you ever experimented with having the bridge attached to both tethers?
@@MySurfingName no but I did consider connecting both of the loose ends of the tether together. But I really couldn't find any benefits by doing this. Thanks
I really like the new 3 point attachment with the adjustable bridge, it’s a simple and innovative system and I love it. I decided to build one for myself and just finished my rig a week ago. So far, I have been test-climbing / adjusting and things have been working well. I only seem to have one problem; the foot loop seems to be my week link. The "balance toe into tree with webbing on the arch of the foot" part is a bit unsteady and gets uncomfortable after a while. Has anyone had the same trouble? Does anyone use a more rigid foot loop, something like a stirrup?
Ryan, I can't say I've had that problem. I don't know how wide your foot stirrup is and that's one of the reasons I use the two inch webbing. Thanks for watching.
I have thought about using a saddle stirrup,,I have the same problem,,the webbing after I get about 12 foot,,seems to b putting a lot of pressure to the outside of my foot,,but the overall technique is awesome👍🏻
maybe im missing somthing.... but could you just use the bridge and eliminate the the leg strap altogether? step up with foot strap, move tether up, sit, the move foot strap up?
I've tried different ropes and I end up with the 1/2" arborist rope. It's durable and it's time proven to be good work line. In this system your tethers are working lines. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment.
After looking at the system and giving it some thought, I realize that most people that have a saddle has at least one tether and a prusik loop. I personally don't have a sewing machine that is capable of sewing eye splices for your tether line and prusik loops. However I do have a hand powered sewing machine that I purchased for the purpose of sewing leather and webbing. So I am wondering if any of you guys would be interested in buying the foot and leg loop? This would allow you guys the ability to customize your system and use equipment you already have. But I would strongly recommend a full half inch arborist climbing and work line and a 3/8" 18" prusik loop that connects to your saddle for your upper tether because this is where the safety of this system comes from. I appreciate you guys watching my videos and all your feedback.
@@timwaldroup9654 thanks for your interest I am working on it and looking into the safety regulations. I will get back with you as soon as I find something out. Thanks again and thanks for watching.
Please send me cost, I am considering it if it came with a list of stuff I needed and/or a picture (I am a newbie with my 1st saddle on order). A question, does your system work well on a variety of sizes of trees as I plan to hunt in different states with trees as small as 4-6 inches in diameter and some pretty big ones. Again, still learning...
Actually I would like to. But I found out things aren't as simple as one would think. After receiving a provisional patent, apparently there's a bunch of other legal stuff that goes along with it I had no idea of. Thanks

Hey Brother, thanks for this video! I am just getting into the two tether system...will be running it next year. I am excited to give this a try...

They climb coconut trees for a living. There whole life has been uncomfortable. That's how they do it with the 2" webbing.
