Hi Scott !! For several years I looked at tree climbing techniques. From my point of view - you are a Super Star !! With love from Russia !! I watch your video from Russia
Thank you for this video, Scott. Got me thinking. I was shopping my first set of climbing sticks, but I think I’ll try this method first. Question: when passing limbs, what are your thoughts on replacing the lineman belt with an additional prusik on the leg tether?
I'm not sure what you mean but within the next two weeks I would like to put out a video showing the improvements I've made for going around limbs. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.
@@scottadkins3771 Thank you for you reply, Scott. I look forward to the upcoming video! I'll try clarifying my question. If you added a friction hitch (e.g. prusik) to the tether connected to your left leg, and clipped your harness into that friction hitch before moving the tether connected to your right leg past the limb, do you think you would be secure enough to eliminate the lineman belt from the process? The thought is certainly not to sacrifice safety, just wondering if you think that could safely shave a few seconds off the limb passing process.
At this time, I don't think it's ready. It takes me about two minutes to get up a tulip poplar, where as it takes me three minutes to get up a red oak. But I believe I'm getting close. Thanks
@@scottadkins3771 I am in the process of converting a Sit Drag to a saddle. I have a new Trophyline Saddle that i like but want to modify the Sit Drag for the fun of it.
Really liking your technique. Waiting for your next video to explain how to build.

Simple enough. Now can you make a video showing how to make your leg strap tethers?
The system just isn't ready yet. Thanks for watching
Спасибо. Очень познавательно и интересно.
Scott did you make this system yet so i can buy it?
Scott, when can you post your rigid seat? Interesting technique, that has a lot of potential.
I'm going to try and post another video within the next two weeks. Thanks

Very interested on where u got the right leg belt with the double sided loops that go to ur carabiner?
I made them. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching
Can you show us some close up pics of your thigh and leg straps?
Looks like to me that the hose on either side of tree covering the rope helps with moving the rope up and down the tree due to its flimsy character
Saludos quisiera fotos de esas cuerdas y los sinchos q usa y de cómo van esos nudos y que capacidad son los mosquetones
Did you make that saddle?
Yes I did.
How much would you want to make a set.

are you in North Carolina?
No. I'm in Ohio and it's much safer when you use a soft saddle or a rock climbing harness connected to the upper tether. Thanks for watching

@@SuperSlappy25 I like experimenting too.
@@scottadkins3771 How did you make your set up with the foot loop and thigh loop? Is that seat belt materials attached to rope???
Thanks.
