They did a great job with it. Playing it with an e kit as a drummer used to acoustic drums it's a real pleasure. Everything feels super natural plus the sounds are top notch
I agree with Michael, Norman is really a great drummer. I love every drum library that has Norman in it as drummer. Every hit sounds just right.
The bright room is my favorite, that bell brass snare is so good.
Toontrack knocked it out of the park with this one.
What Norman said towards the end is so right. Every hit at every velocity level is a statement of some kind that has a specific intention behind it. I can absolutely hear the care that was taken in recording this library. EZD3 is my first time using an e-kit and midi library and I’ve been absolutely astonished by the quality so far. Already anticipating how excited I’ll be when some new EZXs come out.
Just got my copy yesterday, amazing sound. The tightness of the snares and the selection of the bass drum kits is truely phenomenal. I assume that this core library is x10 better than the previous made expasions.

This library to me has improved on everything I didn’t like about the stock SD3 library, much more useable rooms, better choice of tunings and mics and made for more contemporary music with a leading modern engineer. All the quality assurance work seems to have paid here, sounds like a perfect stock library to me.
This is an amazing library; its three room configurations make it incredibly versatile. You can cover pretty much any genre with these kits. :D

I love this core library more than the SD3 core library lol ! way more right to the point instead of a bunch of clutter drum kits and weird selection of cymbals. amazing job !
Yeah the SD3 core is soo weak, I'm tempted to get EZ3 but already have bought Rock and Prog foundry to cover that gap lol
@@CharlieLord u won't be dissapointed , heck I even think the EZD3 core library its more usable in a composition context than the SD3 expansions u mantioned
Hey do you compared ezdrummer 3 core libary (plus mayby one of the new ezx) vs sd core libary?
I mainly use death and darkness sdx and hansa sdx.. love them but i also think bout it to go ez drummer 3 plus their future ezx..
Coz of the easy use
Picked the library up about a week ago. Really good samples all around. Really like the Grid Editor, makes life a lot easier programming the drums to do exactly what you want as opposed to the Logic midi editor. The only thing that I feel the Grid Editor lacks is the ability to edit with actual drum sheet music like what you can do in Logic/GarageBand score editor. I know there's probably not a big desire for this option from most users but it would be a handy option for any future versions for us drummers who work with and read sheet music. But overall, great product!
Drums is like food ...there so many different drums and styles in the world .....Time to explore Toontrack
i love the library, very well recorded, very versatile, great rooms, you can actually push them and the overheads without bringing in clutter and wash. love the interface, and the intuitiveness of it all - all the controls you need, with no additional encumbrances. if i had an observation - and that's my taste, not an objective downplaying of the quality - i'd say it's recorded a bit too modern - meaning a little too much of a thin spike in the attack, it still comes out even with tapes and pres, once you eq a little of the low mids out. i'd like that a little bit tamed, and rounded/squared off in a future ezx. i get that that was the intention. another observation would the humanizing mechanism - the interface isn't as intuitive on that one, and the default velocity variations are too great - some hits go nuclear, while others can barely be heard. otherwise, stellar.

Just bought it, i was blown away! Setup perfectly with my Yamaha DTX PRO. I had SD3 before and I much prefer the simplicity of EZdrummer 3. The sound samples are very good and the GUI is really beautiful. Recording at Hansa is a huge plus. Can't wait for future EZX expansions!
Yeah, now ... you get the remapping and velocity curves adjustment with ED3. That's why I decided to grab Superior Drummer 3 in Spring 2021. And because of the libraries.
I mean, I got all 3zone crash cymbals and with SD3 I can use the bell of each cymbal and hihat. Awsome. And the positional sensing of the snare drum. Hmmm, I see, ED3 has a zone trigger too.
Anyway, ok, i might get away with the ED3 but I really use the mixer and all the bleed settings to tweak a set. I have to keep both.

Until now it was a huge difference in soundquallity when you compare sdx 2017 until now/ core sd3 libary vs ezdrummer 2 plus their ezx
Is the sound quallity of ezdrummer 3 plus their new 2 ezx closer to sd3 ?
Normaoly i would use ezdrummer 3 coz its very easy to use but i also wanna have great sounding drums thats why i use sd3
I've just noticed that there's some B roll of a ludwig drum kit but there's no ludwig drum kit on the core library , where is it ? is it cut content ?
They are in the bright room library.
I downloaded "Acoustic Songwriter" amd have never gotten it to show up in LogicPro.. I installed the "Product Manager",.. etc.. "toontrack" does not show up in any instrument/plug-in profiles. I know where to look as I have Dloaded many other kits

Does anyone compared the ez drummer stock libary to lets say hansa sdx or sd3 stock libary
The sound quality between ezdrummer 2 and sd3 incl sdx and ezx are huge
But it looks that the new ezdrummer 3 sound much better
I'm sold although don't think I'll buy due to Toontrack has NO support contact phone, No email No chat. Nothing, I don't like not having any tech- support on such a pricey program. Anybody else agree, or am I wrong?
